1) Flash Hard SPL to your device. (links/ect in FAQ)
2) flash a OEM rom to your phone, theres a list on the wiki
3) if that doesn't work, see here for how to unbrick your phone http://wiki.xda-developers.com/index.php?pagename=Hermes_Unbrick
Hi! So I tried to load a ROM tonight, just like I have a ton of times before, but after flashing the new radio, the phone only shows a box with an arrow pointing to the Android icon. When I hold the volume down button and hit the power button to go into the bootloader, the same thing happens. I can find no way to load the bootloader or the recovery console. Can anyone PLEASE help me? I am about to go insane trying everything I can think of!
What you're seeing is the radio flashing. Let it run, it'll send you back to recovery when it finishes. If you haven't bricked your phone yet, you're lucky.
This is a perfect example of why you should always read directions thoroughly and know what you're doing before you do it.
If after pulling the battery, your phone suddenly won't turn back on, it's officially dead. You'll have to get a new one.
Does your computer recognize it via adb?
I did follow the instructions to the letter. Can you please explain what ADB is? It's been a while since I've heard that term. I'm fairly inept at this sort of thing, to be honest. But I'm trying to learn. I also thoroughly searched the forums to no avail. Thank you so much for your help!

Where do you stand now? Are you still seeing the radio update screen? If so, just wait it out. It shouldn't take that long, but give it a while longer before pulling the battery.
When you flash the radios, a line of text runs after the initial flash process. It says something similar to reboot the phone now to finish installation, then you'll return to recovery where you can reboot normally. One time that I flashed a radio it told me to nor interrupt the process.
Next time be sure to read the text displayed after flashing. If the process seems to take too long, you can try pulling the battery, but I'd give it at least another ten minutes.
You didn't happen to check that the md5 checksums matched, did you? I'm lazy and never check, except for with radio updates.

Do everything again, but this time don't forget to load FOTA file to Multiloader.
Where do I load the FOTA file to, I highlight full download and the click boot and it shows me which file to load sorry I am a novice at this and wish I hadn't started now, can you tell me exactly what to do please if you don't mind ..
I have tried to load the FOTA file now and I press the dowload button and after a second or two it says "Warring security fail" HELP............
Try few times, restarting phone from download mode or flashing program. Or try to flash fota from other firmware. You are able to flash only fota, without other files.
I think I have done it will let you know in a few minutes, thank you for all your help ...
It has worked thank you, the phone is now in German,I even have all german widgets and can't delete them, is this the right firmware for a UK phone I have looked at all the firmwares but don't know which is the right one......
Also my phone is very jerky and the screen is quite unresponsive..
Hello
My G Pro was working fine this morning, and all of the sudden, it rebooted itself and got stuck at At&t boot logo. No matter what I do, it never gets past this point. It can boot into TWRP but that's pretty much it.
Actually, I can just follow this guide http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2302660 or use TWRP to fix the problem. However, this morning I just filmed a video which I didn't have any chance to back up, and I really want to copy it to my PC before wiping all the data on my phone.
Could anybody help me, please?
If you guys need any additional info, please let me know. Thank you much.

Try and see if this helps, reboot to recovery and in TWRP find the "mount usb" option and select it, plug your phone in to the PC and see if you can see the drive in "my computer", if you can then find your file and copy it to where you want. I do not use TWRP now, I use CWM but I used to do that all the time with my Galaxy Note without any problems.
Hope it works.
Erik

Ohk, so first off all, go to www.sammobile.com and search for firmware tab there, click on it, then type in your device's model number in the search box on middle of the page and select firmware of your country and download it (note: you would need to sign up there to download, it's free to sign up there) and extract it to some location (say c:/tab/)
Now when you have downloaded the firmware (now I will refer it as FW), search and download Odin flash tool(version 3.1,or any other will work too) in there just click on ap button and select the md5 file extracted from the zip you downloaded,
It will take a few seconds to verify the md5 and after it is done verifying, you are ready to flash!
You will need to go to download mode, if u dint know how to enter download mode then here's how to, press and hold volume down+home+power keys for some time (if the device is on then you will need holds them fit about 10 seconds, it will reboot to download mode) it will come up with a screen saying "WARNING! FLASHING CUSTOM ROM CAN HAM DEVICE and blah blah" , just press volume up to continue
As I just read, you are already in download mode (Odin mode and download mode are one and the same thing) you can skip the above step, you can not get out of it without pulling battery, and as we can't pull battery of tab, you will need to flash anything to get out of it (remember, flagging wrong thing might brick your device)
And keep in mind that as the process will take about 15 minutes, so you should have enough battery to run it for about 1 hour, I prefer having at least 40%battery
When you enter download mode, connect you device to computer using USB cable and Ogden should say added in the box present in it, and there are some boxes on the upper side of Odin, 2 lines of boxes , one have big boxes aligned and other have rectangular boxes aligned below the bigger ones, the first rectangular box should turn "light blue" in color and it confirms that your device is connected!
Now see if re-partition is not checked, if it is checked and you start the process then you will brick your device instantly! If, but any ways, it is checked, then uncheck it and click start, it will take some time to finish the process, may be around 10-15 minutes, and after that you will be booted to android os! You can now use your device as it was before all the mess you created!
Go ahead and try this, it should work and bring your device back to life and just saying that, if by any means or any problem occurred and your device is not working anymore, don't point the figure at me, because I can only tell what to do, it's your choice to opt it or not
But there's only 0.001% chance that anything may go wrong, unless you unplug the cable in between the process of flashing
If the process don't help in once, just redo the process of flashing again and if it again don't work, just factory reset it and it should not to android
First boot will take some time, about 2-3 minutes, so don't panic, just keep calm
Hit thanks of I helped

In My opinion, yes or no, if you found anything that says it can retrieve things after format then you can always go ahead and try it out, the worst can happen is you get in a bootloop or someway you won't be able to boot to android, and as now you have what it takes to recover from that(my above post) , you are ready to take the risk!
I dint think there's an app (yet) that can recover data after format on Android, there's a software for Windows that can recover data after deleting them, but not after format
As formatting android don't actually format the drive, I think we can retrieve data, but I had not found any app for that yet
Just to tell you, the difference between permanent delete and format is that, permanent delete deletes the data but can not delete the signature of the files, and a file can be recovered by just it's signature, and formatting deletes all the signatures from the drive,
Some times, files can be recovered also after format, that can happen if you don't format all the drives, the files do create there signatures in other drives too!
So, good luck for finding a solution for recovering files after factory formatting, and I would like to request you that if you find a working solution then please share, it might help anyone!
