Tons of info on this with a quick Google search. You have to be signed into Snapchat before you root. You can not root and then attempt to sign in. Snapchat does not like root. Your steps to take now: unroot, sign into Snapchat, reroot

I would suggest using the Snapchat beta as you can sign into it with root.

Hey guys,
My snapchat application stopped working a couple days ago. When I attempt to login it gives me the error, temporary login failed. I have read that this is an issue with other devices that are rooted. Anyone have any solutions? Thanks in advance.
Rooted devices have a little bit to do with the Snapchat Login Failure. Check to see if Xposed Framework is installed, and if it is uninstall it, login to snapchat (which then it'll let you login and see stories from others), and reinstall Xposed Framework if you need/want it on your device.
Thanks for the response. I'm on a custom rom, sick as hell v6. Will that cause issues if I uninstall it? When I go into xposed, the uninstall option is faded out and cannot be selected. How should I go about uninstalling xposed?

As long as you don't have any apps/modules that use xposed framework, then it should be fine. Uninstalling it requires you to download the xposed framework uninstaller (http://forum.xda-developers.com/xposed/unofficial-xposed-samsung-lollipop-t3180960) and if you want to, also download the installer and apk. For the S6 and S6 Edge, download the versions with "arm64" marked on the download.
Then copy the files to your phone and simply enter recovery mode and flash the uninstaller. After that, reboot and login to snapchat (also, uninstall the xposed framework app if it still won't login).
If you want to reinstall the xposed framework, then simply install the apk first, then boot into the recovery and flash the xposed installer.
Hope this helped you out
EDIT: Also, Snapchat won't log you out unless you log out or uninstall the app.
No go :/
I flashed the arm64 uninstaller and bootlooped

Maybe it's the xposed framework that's outdated as it was updated ~2 days ago. Try installing the new one and uninstall right after and see if that helps.
The xposed module is hard baked into the Sick as Hell rom. You won't be able to get by that. I know snapchat has been messing around with creating a lock out for rooted phones to prevent apps bypassing their screenshot policy. There are a few articles that describe that. If you're part of their beta program, unsubscribe from their beta group on Google+, uninstall snapchat, download and try again. If that doesnt work, you could try the app Casper temporarily to use Snapchat, but I wouldn't recommend using it all the time as SnapChat will catch on. Hope all this helps.

If you backup Snapchat with Titanium Backup before you install a custom rom with xposed you can restore the backup and have no issues.
Got my OP3 yesterday and was amazed by it.
Obviously rooted it. (unlocked bootloader + flashed SuperSU) NO XPOSED whatsoever
Snapchat gives me the message: "Oh No! your login was temporarily disabled"
ANY help at all?
Not using it myself, but from what I read Snapchat doesn't play well with rooted devices any more ...
You'll have to unroot, login to Snapchat and then root again.

yeah recently after updates of our op3 and updates of snapchat. they seems to block rooted phone to log in, last time was phone with XPOSED unable to log in. you can either flash back stock, log in and root or flash stock > log in > root > titanium backup your snapchat and next time just restore snapchat

Or flash suHide... Android pay will work then as well as snapchat... Source? I'm using them both right now
try to delete app data
Sometimes snapchat just crashes a couple of seconds after opening it or sometimes it doesn't but when I try to open someones story it just crashes.
I can provide logs if someone can explain how to do it
To add to this, I've tried it on 1.9 and it doesn't work. This problem is all of the sudden and it used to work. I've tried uninstalling root and xposed and factory resetting none of which work. It works fine on CM13 and 14.1 but suddenly it stops working here.
Id also like to add that on freedom OS snapchat wont work since snapchat can sense if you are rooted. I think there is a way around like that root cloak app but havent tried it out yet. Anyone find a way around ?

You can login to snapchat if you aren't rooted. If you are rooted and need to login just uninstall it through the supersu app.
This again. You won't be able to log in ONLY if you have xposed framework installed. It's not "sensing" root.
It's crashing because you probably are using a custom kernel with cb. Snapchat works fine with stock kernel.

I'm using stock everything, have never went custom on my OP3 and it crashes every time when I open it.

SuperSu>Settings>Scroll down and look for full unroot
Do not attempt to restore stock boot.img. It will prompt you to, but click no and restart
Lately snapchat has not let me in and i know its due to safetynet but is there anyway i can get around this. And if there is may you provide a step by step guide. Thankyou in advance.
I would check out this thread. Helped me alot

Firstly, flash the xposed uninstaller. Boot up your phone. Install Snapchat. Login. Install Titanium Backup if you don't have. Take a backup of Snapchat. Flash xposed zip. Open Snapchat.
1 of the 2 things will happen:
Snapchat will work properly, then you don't need to do anything.
Second, if it asks for login, close the app and restore from Titanium Backup.
Yes i have tried this method before with no luck as of lately. This used to work for me before but now it does not.
It just logs me in then straight out.
I was having that issue. I found the same things others have said; I used to be able to log in after uninstalling Xposed. But recently I was only able to log in after uninstalling Xposed and unrooting. Of course after doing so and logging in successfully, I reinstalled Xposed and rerooted and everything works fine.

Hi...i too couldn't log in... So i tried unrooting first from the su app...it warned me that the phone might not boot...i did it and as the warning the phone did not boot...i then went to the recovery and flashed my rom again... Cleared cache and rebooted... Now i could log on to snapchat without root... Cheers... This method worked for me... Don't know the logic behind it... Phone was still rooted...
Gents,
Greetings,
I dont know whether I am posting in the right forum, my issue is I am trying to login with both official SC as well as Casper, there is an option in Casper that letting you use the same snapchat session (menu - use snapchat session [root]) it requires root permission, as my phone is already rooted but I still cannot use that feature, casper cannot detect that I am logged in snapchat, it is trying to find snapchat com.snapchat.android_preferences.xml which must be located at /data/data/com.snapchat.android but it fails.
The issue is that even if I used root explorer, I couldn't find that folder, while on my samsung tab this folder is available
Any assistance will be much appreciated...

Magisk will absolutely solve your snapchat app login error. Plus it is supersu capable. Most phones work with it. I'm using Magisk with snapchat on the HTC 10, works perfect.

Actually magisk might affect xposed, also snapchat is working, the issue is tgat casper is not detecting I am logged in snapchat because folder com.snapchat.android is missing while I am already logged in
Where are you looking for the folder?

Not there as well, exactly that what I am looking for
I tried installing SC on my galaxy tab4 with RR ROM 7.1.2 and the folder is in place in /data/data
Even so if I create the folder manually or to copy content from other device, it will be removed automatically when restart
Any suggetions?
