Hi guys i m trying to get all the downloads n the imp files for Xiaomi Redmi 1S / Hongmi 1S
first things first latest official update for our phones
here is the Global version (includes Gapps)
http://en.miui.com/download-226.html#325
here is the Chinese (does not include Gapps)
http://en.miui.com/download-226.html#305
here is the link for 4.3 JB Gapps
https://goo.im/gapps/gapps-jb-20130813-signed.zip/
Now you guys must be thinking y have i posted the Chinese version when global works on all the Redmi 1S models well the reason is
i personally have observed that the Chinese Rom gets the Updates much more quicker then the global
it can be used by a person who does not know Chinese there a option for English in the Start up itself
after you delete the Chinese Apps install the minimal Gapps i get more Free RAM (approx 300mb to 350mb) then Global version which usually has (200mb to 250mb)
the phones does not heat as much as it heats in Global version but the heating is still there
Now you might be thinking what to do with these zip files ?
Those zip files contain the files that can reset or update your phone from a lower version to higher or if your phone is stuck at bootlogo or bootanimation flashing these zip files will help you recover your soft bricked phone
Before i start with how to flash a update or a rom pls let me tell you guys
I M NOT RESPONSIBLE FOR ANY DATA LOSS BRICKED PHONES OR ANY LOSS YOU BEAR DO ALL THIS ON YOUR OWN RISK
How to Flash a official Update
Method 1
STEP 1
Download the latest MIUI ROM from the links above
If you have downloaded the latest installation pack, there is no need to download it again.
STEP 2

for heating and ram usage i would say Chinese version of miui will do the trick that is if you dont want CM 11
i would strongly recommend you CM 11 there are no bugs i found till now
flash the TWRP via fastboot mode
wipe system data cache and dalivk cache
flash the rom clear the caches n flash Gapps
bootup n you have your problem is solved
if you have got your phone pretty recently then i would say a couple of complete battery drains n charging will also lower the heat i dont know the logic begin it but i had this in my personal experience
Hope that helped

Hi Tarun93, this not even a minor problem related with the subject of your thread.

You will need a PC. Download stock firmware from official site , and download MiFlash for flashing the firmware , you'll need the drivers for Mi A2 lite . Fter downloading the firmware , installing the drivers and MiFlash , reboot your PC , then reboot your Device in fastboot mode (hold power button + Vol - until you see fastboot) ,connect your Device to pc , navigate to your firmware via MiFlash , and hit the refresh button , on the bottom right corner choose the option flash_all ,not flash_all_lock!(It will lock your bootloader if you choose flash_all_lock ) ,then hit the flash button and wait about 300 secs until you see the green bar on there right side saying completed. For more specific instructions - use YouTube videos , there are plenty of them , good luck!

If you get another error ,please write it down to be more specific ,good luck!
EDIT: Did you unzipped the sock firmware? (the .tgz file with WinRAR?)
If you didn't , unzip the folder, then from miflash navigate to while folder ( the name of the folder will be like : daisy_global_images_V10.0.13.0 ) and hit ok, then hit refresh and try to flash again.

Ermm no, it isn't. It's the stock rom for Mi A2 Lite, not the MIUI rom. If you wanna find MIUI rom, go and search in XDA Dev. In the XDA application it'll be much easier.
MIUI rom for Mi A2 Lite is a custom rom, remember to search properly before flashing.

It's because XiaoMi phones are using MIUI as defaut, so the title says that it's MIUI official global rom website, but Mi A1, A2/Lite and A3 are exception.
I've tried it before, and just two days before, don't worry it's Android One rom.

Many people working at Xiaomi don’t know that they also sell Android One phones. In the past, I had some "funny" discussions with their support when they told me to use MIUI specific settings on my A2 Lite.

What kind of drivers i need to install, and the latest MiFlash tool is not an exe but a zip file am i doing something wrong here ?
UPDATE: ok so i managed to flash the rom and update it to the october update and here's how i did it for anyone that doesn't know First i downloaded the latest MiFlash tool from here https://xiaomiflashtool.com/category/download, then i downloaded the stock rom from nikoman1987's link (https://c.mi.com/oc/miuidownload/detail?device=1700354) and unzipped it, after this i moved the unzipped MiFlash folder to my D drive and made a new folder called log (it's important to do this otherwise you can't install the drivers), after that's done i unzipped the package and placed it to the dekstop (if you placed the unzipped folder to other ones make sure the name of the folder doesn't have spaces !) then i opened the MiFlash toolkit clicked on the top button that says Driver and i installed the updates, after that's done you will get a box with chinese writings, hit ok and restart your pc, after the pc's been restarted power off your phone and boot it into fastboot (hold volume down and power button until fastboot text appears) then connect it to the pc and open the MiFlash program then click on select and choose the rom, before installing on the bottom right you need to choose which option you want for me since i unlocked the bootloader and i couldn't update i chose to clean all and lock the bootloader, after you have chosen the option hit flash and wait until it says flash done (for me it took exactly 253 seconds.) After that the phone will restart and hopefully it will be with a clean stock rom.

Please check because even if you choose fastboot file, the recovery file is shown at first and the fastboot file is below.
Dont use miflash. Download the fastboot file, extract its contents in a folder (preferably C:/rom). Then connect your phone in fastboot mode and run the flash all.bat file

How to flash miui14 Chinese dev recovery rom in mipad 5
?
1. You download the CN Stable dev build from here
2. A. It's a recovery ROM zip, so you can only directly flash it in MIUI Updater, or MIUI Stock Recovery, if you are already on the same branch (CN Stable dev)
2. B. otherwise (you are on a different ROM variant, like Global or Stable non-dev) you have to unlock your tablet and then flash the recovery ROM zip via custom recovery (TWRP) or flash a fastboot ROM (which is not the same as the zip above) and flash it via MiFlash Tool, or adb from a computer.

WARNING: If you don't know how this stuff works, I recommend not to do it. This will install CN Stable Dev ROM, only English and Chinese will be available. Mi Flash gives an error but the Tablet reboots and MIUI 14 CN will be properly flashed without losing user-data. But to be sure, make a backup and learn how to fix a soft-bricked device BEFORE you start. If you soft-brick, don't ask questions here but google and learn through youtube tutorials.
unlock your device. Apply here
download the latest MIUI 14 chinese stable dev fastboot tgz file
extract the tgz with winRAR or 7zip into a folder
download and extract Mi Flash Tool into another folder
run XiaoMiFlash.exe inside the extracted Mi Flash Tool folder
Install the drivers when asked inside the Mi Flash Tool, if it gives an error then install the driver manually
Turn off your Mi Tab 5, then reboot it by pressing POWER + VOLUME UP until the Fastboot screen appears
Connect your Mi Tab 5 to your computer via USB.
Click the "refresh" button in Mi Flash Tool. In the table below the "select" button a new row should appear with an id and device. If not you have a USB driver problem, cable problem, your tablet is not in fastboot mode or other issue. Use google to fix your problem or watch a youtube video to learn how to do it.
in Mi Flash Tool click the "select" button and navigate to the folder where you extracted the tgz file, click OK. (Make sure you navigate and select the "nabu_images_V14.0.22.12.21.DEV_13.0" folder, and not the one inside it called "images")
At the bottom of Mi Flash Tool select "Save user data"and in the drop down next to it select "Flash all except storage"
Click the "flash" button in Mi Flash Tool and wait until it's done.
