You will need a PC. Download stock firmware from official site , and download MiFlash for flashing the firmware , you'll need the drivers for Mi A2 lite . Fter downloading the firmware , installing the drivers and MiFlash , reboot your PC , then reboot your Device in fastboot mode (hold power button + Vol - until you see fastboot) ,connect your Device to pc , navigate to your firmware via MiFlash , and hit the refresh button , on the bottom right corner choose the option flash_all ,not flash_all_lock!(It will lock your bootloader if you choose flash_all_lock ) ,then hit the flash button and wait about 300 secs until you see the green bar on there right side saying completed. For more specific instructions - use YouTube videos , there are plenty of them , good luck!

If you get another error ,please write it down to be more specific ,good luck!
EDIT: Did you unzipped the sock firmware? (the .tgz file with WinRAR?)
If you didn't , unzip the folder, then from miflash navigate to while folder ( the name of the folder will be like : daisy_global_images_V10.0.13.0 ) and hit ok, then hit refresh and try to flash again.

Ermm no, it isn't. It's the stock rom for Mi A2 Lite, not the MIUI rom. If you wanna find MIUI rom, go and search in XDA Dev. In the XDA application it'll be much easier.
MIUI rom for Mi A2 Lite is a custom rom, remember to search properly before flashing.

It's because XiaoMi phones are using MIUI as defaut, so the title says that it's MIUI official global rom website, but Mi A1, A2/Lite and A3 are exception.
I've tried it before, and just two days before, don't worry it's Android One rom.

Many people working at Xiaomi don’t know that they also sell Android One phones. In the past, I had some "funny" discussions with their support when they told me to use MIUI specific settings on my A2 Lite.

that's stock android one ,not miui ,if you want miui ,go in kernels/custom rom section and you will see the thread at the top ,i recommend you to use miui 11 v9.10.31 ,i don't like miui ,because it's heavy bloated ,i like more clean roms

What kind of drivers i need to install, and the latest MiFlash tool is not an exe but a zip file am i doing something wrong here ?
UPDATE: ok so i managed to flash the rom and update it to the october update and here's how i did it for anyone that doesn't know First i downloaded the latest MiFlash tool from here https://xiaomiflashtool.com/category/download, then i downloaded the stock rom from nikoman1987's link (https://c.mi.com/oc/miuidownload/detail?device=1700354) and unzipped it, after this i moved the unzipped MiFlash folder to my D drive and made a new folder called log (it's important to do this otherwise you can't install the drivers), after that's done i unzipped the package and placed it to the dekstop (if you placed the unzipped folder to other ones make sure the name of the folder doesn't have spaces !) then i opened the MiFlash toolkit clicked on the top button that says Driver and i installed the updates, after that's done you will get a box with chinese writings, hit ok and restart your pc, after the pc's been restarted power off your phone and boot it into fastboot (hold volume down and power button until fastboot text appears) then connect it to the pc and open the MiFlash program then click on select and choose the rom, before installing on the bottom right you need to choose which option you want for me since i unlocked the bootloader and i couldn't update i chose to clean all and lock the bootloader, after you have chosen the option hit flash and wait until it says flash done (for me it took exactly 253 seconds.) After that the phone will restart and hopefully it will be with a clean stock rom.

- Nubia Z17 device.
- USB type C cable.
- Computer with Windows and adb-fastboot drivers installed and configured (there are a lot of guides on the Internet).
- Nubia Z17 Pack -> You have the mirrors at the end of the post
STEPS:
1.- Download the pack with all the necessary stuff.
2.- Decompress the folder that is inside the rar.
3.- Open that folder, press SHIFT and at the same time do right click. Click on open a powershell... or open a command prompt...
NOTE: if appears the first option you have to send the command: cmd
4.- Put the phone on fastboot mode (power and vol+ at same time) and connect the phone to the computer.
5.- Send the command fastboot devices and it should give you something like this if the drivers are OK:
{

}
6.- Send this command to unlock bootloader: fastboot oem nubia_unlock NUBIA_NX563J
Now you have your bootloader unlocked!
7.- Send this command to flash TWRP: fastboot flash recovery TWRP_recovery.img
Now you have the TWRP recovery flashed!
8.- To reboot into recovery you have to choose with volume buttons the option to reboot recovery and press power.
There is a little problem, the recovery is in Chinese and I don't know you, but I don't understand Chinese :silly: So let's change the language.
9.- When it displays the first screen, something like this pic, you have to press the second button and choose your favourite language (I always recommend English)
10.- Now you have to root the phone, go to Advanced > Tools and press Root device.
Now you have your phone's bootloader unlocked, the TWRP recovery flashed and root access!

after i unlock bootloader i flash twrp and gapps. But when i restart the phone, the phone stop on the logo nubia and stop. Why?
the developer of the twrp said that you should root the phone first after you flashed something in the recovery mode.

UNLOCKING YOUR PHONE WILL ERASE ALL OF YOUR DATA, SO MAKE A BACKUP OF YOUR DATA TO EITHER PC OR EXTERNAL SD CARD.
Hi All, I'm summarizing all steps required for BL unlock, TWRP and rooting our Realme 5 Pro(tested with Indian variant).
I'm not the Owner of any file required in this guide. So credit goes to real developer/maintainer of these files/patches/mods.:fingers-crossed::fingers-crossed:
Unlocking: Follow below steps one by one. Updated for Realme UI too.
1. Download and install the unlock tool apk on your phone. download apk from below:
a. For Color Os-> Depth test file
b. For Realme Ui ->Depth test file
2. Follow the detailed steps below to unlock the bootloader.
a. Open unlock tool.
b. Click “Start applying”.
c. Please read the disclaimer in detail, select the checkbox, and submit your application.
d. The application will be checked by realme servers.
e. Within approximately 1 hour, the unlock tool apk will show the status of the unlock request - if it shows the unlocking is successful, please proceed to the following step.
f. You can now click “Start the in-depth test” and the device will reboot automatically.
3. Download the ADB tool and after extracting zip file open folder minimal_adb_fastboot in PC.
a. Click on file “cmd-here” to open command prompt (CMD) or you can manually open CMD by holding Shift key and Right-click on the screen to open command prompt window.
b. In CMD type- “fastboot devices” and press enter to verify that your device is being detected. If not, install ADB drivers first or reconnect your phone to a different port of PC then try again.
c. In CMD type- “fastboot oem unlock” and press enter to unlock the bootloader.
d. Now on phone, a message like in below image will appear. In phone select the "unlock the bootloader" menu by pressing the volume button down and then press the “power button” to finally unlock the bootloader of phone.

Hi all. I'm considering buying this phone but bootloader & root is a must.
It's possible to unlock bootloader in the EU (global) version? I read that EU and India versions are the same but I'm not 100% sure about this.
Does anyone from Europe unlocked it?
Regards

Tool includes all TWRP versions available for Mi 8 SE. (Android Q - Android P - Miui 10 - Miui 11)
This tool is Turkish but i explained settings on picture.
-Turn off your phone and go to fastboot mode
(power+volume down button)
-Connect your phone with cable to the PC
-All drivers should be installed on your PC.
If not please install Mi Flash from link then install drivers in the Mi Flash program.
Mi Flash: https://sourceforge.net/projects/reiwa-mi8se/files/Fastboot Bootloop Rom/
Win 10 / 7 / 8 works flawless
If drivers are OK please go to next step.
-Choose TWRP you would like to flash then copy it to main folder and rename it to recovery
(If you flash wrong TWRP version, TWRP will not start but don't worry. Just flash different version of TWRP in the list.)

Hi TacoNikky
Thank you very much for the tool and the detailed description. I tried to install the TWRP for over a week now and i am at my wits end. It is a Xiaomi Mi 8SE, running on MIUI 11.0.3.0 Stable (PEBCNXM) with Android 9 with security patch level 2019-09-01.
I installed the tool and i selected the recovery0423 version. (Later, I tried also other versions).
Unfortunately the following error occured: can not found file flash_all_lock.bat
Thank you for any help.
Hello people,
I wish to know step by step how to rollback my devices to Android 9 official version.
1. I know that my bootloader need to be unlocked (is it possible on Android 10)?
2. How to install the official rom and where to find?
3. Would it work like the official with locked bootloader?
Please share your experience since and the way did you done it ??? since Android 10 on my Mi A2 lite have been working very bad even though I have erased all data and reset it.
Appreciate any information, have a good day (stay safe)
I am also going to downgrade it but not getting the time
Try Xiaomi Flash Tool.

1. Yes, all you have to do is unlock OEM in developer settings, then boot to fastboot by turning off your phone and pressing power and vol- buttons at the same time, then open up adb in cmd and write "fastboot oem unlock" (it will wipe your data, unless you're still holding vol- button)
2. You install it by simply downloading it and unpacking, then copying it's directory to adb and choosing which option would you like, I recommend flash_all.bat, full command should look similiar
D:\daisy\daisy_global_images_V11.0.7.0.QDLMIXM_10.0\flash_all.bat
You can get every single fastboot Image from here:
https://forum.xda-developers.com/mi-a2-lite/how-to/fastboot-xiaomi-mi-a2-fastboot-images-t3824871
3. Yes it will work like an official with locked bootloader, only diffirence is that it might not have apps like google play music, also with unlocked bootloader you will be able to use magisk and get for example
Google camera app
Here you can download ADB
https://developer.android.com/studio/releases/platform-tools
Personally I didn't had a single problem with flashing Android One through fastboot, and personally I prefer that way since xiaomi flash tools need a phone that's in edl mode which later on you have to exit manually on your own (at least in my case, maybe others don't have this problem)

UPDATE I would give you a guidance how I managed since I had an issue with miflash application (maybe I'm the only one )
If you are following my steps I'm NOT RESPONSIBLE for any damage that may occur during the process!!!
After a quite a while of time I managed to rollback to the Anroid 8.1.0 daisy ( here is the rom https://forum.xda-developers.com/mi-a2-lite/how-to/fastboot-xiaomi-mi-a2-fastboot-images-t3824871 ) .
As for beggining I had a problem with most newest MIFLASH tools, since it shows an error as soon you load application and all about certain "log" folder missing from the downloaded files.
The way to solve this issue after testing a program on multiple systems ( Win 7 & Win 10), I've resolved it in following steps (working on Win 10) :
1. Download and install MiFlash20160830 from https://www.xiaomiflash.com/download/ ( Don't forget to install ADB and drivers on your PC otherwise won't work
2. Extract and install to system
3. Run the program and connect the phone while in fastboot mode ( shut down phone, wait 10 seconds and then press volume down & power button, should see "FASTBOOT" and android avatar ) and press refresh on right top corner (On the MiFlash on PC).
4. Go to the installation files (C:\XiaoMi\XiaoMiFlash <- in my case) and copy the log file
5. Then install the newest MiFlash ( from the website https://www.xiaomiflash.com/downloads/ ) and extract it
6. Paste the log folder into the directory of newest MiFlash and run Miflash
7. Carefully browse and select the extracted rom folder, than select the folder and select "clean all and lock" (in right bottom corner)
8. Power off phone and go into the fastboot mode ( volume down & power )
9. Connect phone to the computer via USB and click refresh on Miflash (should recognize you phone)
10. Click flash and let it do the work (Don't disconnect don't interrupt )
11. When is done disconnect the phone and hold power button until phone reboots and you phone is ready! Enjoy
Sorry for being so descriptive it may help the noobs like me

Nice man!! I want to try it. Do you know if back to Android 8.1 can cause some security problems on Mi A2 Lite?
After the first update(8.1 to 9.0) a lots of problems comes. The first one: Call Recorders stop work!
Now I'm with the last Android 10 update, and my cell phone is a tash. I cant use it. Lot of bugs!
I need to change the android Version(back to 8.1), install a MIUI stock, or buy a new phone(I cant do it now!!). I think this is my first and my last Xiaomi Phone.

When it comes to security, you would need to unlock bootloader ( which means that all of the warranty would be gone). On top of that you can install some custom roms that may have some potential malware so be careful.
Nevertheless when it comes to stock roms, I never had a problem when it comes to the security, it may show up some bugs from time to time, but otherwise should run as official version...
Well the phone is pretty much outdated so it's usual that some of them won't work properly.
Nevertheless in the past with Android One phones was more than smooth and buggless. Now we see that as soon as xiaomi start to release an update it seems like they don't want to invest time to pretest the phone on the new system. It seems like MIUI is their best option...

Well the reason is simple. After each update my phone was much more slower and buggy. On the Android 10 the ram management was awful (as soon as you go out of the application, system close it). A lot of bugs, slow.
I've tried to connect customer service, they replied me to reset the phone and try again, but most of the problems are the same.
I won't suggest you to update.

Try using sp flash tool.
But if you are on V12.0.5.0 or higher, you need to bypass authorization and flash in EDL mode: https://forum.xda-developers.com/t/...d-flash-in-edl-with-no-auth-for-free.4229683/

Xiaomi flash tool is an official tool specifically only for Xiaomi devices, it can flash in fastboot mode and download mode both.
Sp flash is an unofficial tool which works for almost every device with Mediatek chipset, and it can flash only in download mode.

Probably an unusual question:
I hate android 10/11, they simply abuse of "security" bs and prevents us of doing what we want with our phones.
Is it possible to get rid of dynamic partitions and install some android 9 (Pie) from old days of freedom?
