Hi,
I'm using CM14.1, the question is how can I take a quick screenshot (like pressing the recent button in stock). You know, our device's volume buttons are placed on the back so it's difficult to take a screenshot in traditional way. I think we can hold the the home button like what greenify did.
Thanks in advance.

I'm kind of an android noob, so sorry if this is a dumb question.
Is there an easier way to take screenshots? The ways I know of are swiping your hand across the screen (which doesn't work in some apps for me) or holding the spen button with the spen pressed to the screen. From what I gather these are both Samsung-only.
I've been using the Sixaxis app a lot and trying to take screenshots of various games so I can set up touch emulation profiles. It would be nice if there were just a button press combo I could do like on the iPhone.
Thanks!
Holding power + home button together (remember to hold and not just press and release) works on the i317.

It may take a few times to get the timing right each time, but just try again if you get a menu instead.

Perfect! Thanks!
Hey guys quick question ? One of the things ive always like about sense is that you can hold power + home and you get a quick screenshot
And how could I do this on unsense or on another rom without holding power ?
I imagine that button combo has to be baked into the Rom. You can look at xposed to see if there is a module to enable it. I bought a screenshot app that allows me to shake the phone to take a screenshot. That's my workaround.
Or you could order a Pressy and use that for screenshots if you want to get away from the power button as well.
The button combo is power+volume down. That works on every ROM I've ran.

Hi.
So I've been trying to get my navbar buttons to work as they did in my previous phone. What would be:
Recent apps short press: open menu
Recent apps long press: search
Recent apps double tap: open assistant
Home button short press: home
Home button long press: recent apps
Home button double tap: split screen
Back button short press: back
Back button long press: kill app
Remaping the buttons doesn't seem an option since the soft keys are not detected as buttons. I rooted my device as well.
I've tried several methods using other apps that should replace the stock navbar but those despite being shown they do nothing.
I would also like to have it so the home button is disabled when typing.
I would really appreciate some help. Thanks
-Device: OP5T
-OS: OOS9.0.5
-Rooted with magisk. Twrp recovery. No xposed
Most of the functions you listed can be achieved by using the navbar customization built into Oxygen OS. (Settings->Buttons->Navigation Bar->Customization) The kill app button could probably be done with Tasker.

Although it is true the actions themselves are available on the stock menu apart from search and kill app. The short press action cannot be changed
Ah, didn't notice the menu one. Just for curiosity, do apps still support a menu button function? I haven't seen a hardware menu button in years.

Oh yes they do. All of the ones I use at least it just opens whatever menu the app has that you would access by pressing on 3 dots. I just hate that some apps use other methods so you always have to think how to open the menu as oposed to just pressing the same thing
I recently downgraded to OOS 4.1.7 after reading Best Gaming Rom One Plus 3 2020 by Chimpzilla.
Any help on taking a screenshot in this version? Holding volume key + power button doesn't seem to work.
I am aware that there is a three-finger screenshot gesture but that overrides with the multi-touch so i have it turned off.
Is this a bug that can be fixed or I'm missing something?
EDIT: I found out that i can take screenshots using volume key and power button by holding it longer than usual BUT i also found out that only when in fullscreen that I can't take a screenshot.
EDIT: It turns out I can take a screenshot while fullscreened and it saves in my gallery BUT I can't see the animation that i took a screenshot and also the options after taking a screenshot.
Hi gang,
With the release of stock Android 11 for our Pixel 2 XL, I don't find a way to do a generic screenshot anymore.
With previous releases, I could long-press the power button and taking a screenshot was one of the options. Not anymore...
The brand new bottom-up drag gesture does bring a screenshot option, but it is for one the open tasks and not the current home screen.
Am I missing something ?
Press and hold Power + Volume Down.

That was it!
The previous method was much simpler, though.
Thanks!

you could also add a screenshot tile. its way better easier and saves wear on the buttons. theres a few on the playstore. this one is great but it requires root.
You can also, "Hit square icon at the bottom, then tap on screenshots" . Make sure you choose which screen you want to screenshot.
