problem with root and app

I installed app infinity and i have disabilited the root permission and i not to use app
Please help me!!!!!!
Disabling root from developer settings doesn't remove root from your phone, so it is normal the app still detects root.

The option in the dev settings just disables root access for apps. It doesn't remove root. Think about it like you set your SuperSU to reject all requests of root access automatically. Apps that check for root do that by checking system files, i guess. So unless you completely wipe out your su binary, this app won't work. Xposed for lollipop is released, there is a chance that the module for hiding root from such apps could work. You may give it a chance.

[Q] android pay working for anyone?

I am running on stock rooted OF8 and can't seem to run android pay. Setting it up it says that it can't determine if it is compatible. Google wallet did work before. Anyone else run into this?
Apparently it doesn't work on rooted phones. Read some where that you can activate it and then root afterwards but haven't tried it yet.

works for me non root for now
Were i can find android pay ?
It worked for me non rooted at a vending machine. Though rooted or not at Maverick and Smiths, (3 times total) it has caused my phone to freeze after I verify my pattern lock.
Anyone having that issue?
Haven't been even able to set it up. Rooted on OF8. I'm going to flash the new build tonight and see if I can get it working before I root again and see what happens.
Use an app like RootCloak or HideMyRoot. Once you hide root you can add your cards with no problems. Using it to pay you will need to hide root again.... way too many steps for it to be convenient for me.

Where can I get a working version of either of those apps? All the ones I found doing a Google search are outdated and people say they don't work anymore.
I use Hide My Root from the PlayStore. It worked for what i needed but you cant use it for individual apps like RootCloak can. I'm odexed and can't get RootCloak going.

Should I root my Phone? Can i even do so?

Hello, do you think that I should root my Nexus 5X? It is my daily phone that I use to play apps. If I do, what about the apps that don't allow root? I want to root it but the games that I play daily don't allow root. I am also on the latest Android 7.0

Rooting Advantages ?

Wht are the advantage of rooting ? How to change stock icon pakage in google now launcher without rooting ?
Main advantages of rooting I see:
- easy backup (Titanium Backup), you can access data of apps.
- copy/move of data with attributes including timestamps is possible.
- possibility to modify system, like enabling disabled features.
- it is your device. You did not rent it. Noone should technically restrict your ability to do anything with it.
modify system - xposed, remove unwanted app and data
If you don't know the advantages of rooting, you don't need rooting.

He's not asking what the advantages of rooting are. He's asking what YOU root your phone for. IMO lol.
Anw, in the past when I used to root my phone, it was mainly to disable the bloatwares, install Adaway and to backup my phone before wandering into the endless world of Custom ROM. Now I'm old and want to settle down. My only urge to root my MZP now is to install adaway and get rid of all the annoying ads. But then again, they are not that annoying.
@vietkao, if AdAway is your only reason for root, you probably should give DNS66 a try. It works similar to AdAway, but does not need root. Only restriction: It works as vpn, so it can not run at the same time as another vpn. Gain: you may disable or enable it per app.
