I've just got my Z Play Dual Sim XT1635-02 yesterday and today it's beginning to randomly dropping off the cell network and then connecting again. Just with few seconds in between, but it can go on for several minutes before it settles again and I can use the cellular network. Have anyone else experienced the same?

Hello. My data carrier (2G, 3G & 4G connection) keeps dropping out, and I have to restart my phone all the time to get it back. Any fixes for that?
I have the same issue in UK on O2. Seems hardware issue as it started happening recently... couple of months after v20D update on my 815.
Hello,
I'm using two swedish providers in my phone - 3 and Telenor. Both are capable of LTE/UMTS, I'm using 3 as the primary provider for all options in the Sim settings and the Telenor one only to receive calls.
So I recognized a problem where my data connection would drop when the 'open wifi'-notification popped, I tried to disable that and it seemed fine at first. However I'm still getting data connection drops when me phone swaps from LTE to UMTS(3G/H/H+), no errors are thrown and I'm only seeing it due to no data loading within apps or disconnects in-game, the display isn't dropping the coverage indicator nor the indicator for which network is being used(3G, H, H+, LTE, 4G+). After some time the data connection returns but keeps dropping rather frequently once this pattern starts.
Airplane mode restores connectivity for a while (I haven't clocked it) but eventually the connection stops receiving data and the disconnecting pattern returns.
Calls and SMS are working as far as I've noticed so far.
Any ideas?
Edit: I've restarted the phone multiple times.
Any one got similar issues or any fix :3?
I just changed my SIM Card from a 3G SIM to a 4G SIM recently. However I met an issue, whenever I use the 4G Mobile Network for too long (like 1-2 hours), the phone will suddenly lost all signal for 5-10 minute before recovering the signal. The signal bar is empty, and it appears the "Emergency Call Only" stuff. Is it just me or everyone is encountering this problem?
I have no problem at all when restrict the phone to connect 3G/H+ network only, it only occurs when I connect to the 4G network for a period of time.
My friend that uses the same telco with me doesn't have such problem (disconnecting/no signal at all) when connecting to 4G network, and it doesn't seems to be the antenna problem since the problem does not happen when I connect to 3G/H+ networks.
What might likely be the cause? Is there any solution to this?
Sorry for bad English, not my native language
(I live in Malaysia, and using UMobile Telco. )
Now that you mention it, I have pretty much the same issue of losing signals, and the problem hasn't occurred ever since I stopped using 4g. I didn't notice it was because of that, because I changed the phone too while changing the sim. I have marshmallow by the way. Don't know if that might be linked to the problem.
Hi, I've been using the Xperia XZ2 Compact for the past week and have been experiencing an issue with mobile connectivity. Here is a copy from the thread in Sony support Forum.
I'm also experiencing this issue, but I get random disconnects and/or changes of carrier even when standing still. Here are some thing I also noticed and I hope we can get a fix soon:
- when I connect through national roaming I get a notification that it is disabled even though it's not and it disappears immediately.
- Sometimes when I'm connected to LTE+ I don't have any mobile data for short periods of time, but I think this issue is not related.
- When I lose signal nothing happens other than the signal bar changes to an outline but when I get randomly disconnected(or unregistered if you want to call it that way) I get a notification that my mobile carriers' network is unavailable.
I live in Poland and I'm using a virtual carrier called "mobile vikings" that uses the infrastructure of P4(commonly known as "Play") and allows roaming to t-mobile and "PLUS" but only on max H+ speeds. I tested my SIM on my previous phone - Xperia M5, and it's working just fine. I hope because it's happening to other ppl that it's a software issue that can be fixed in next updates. Is anyone also experiencing a similar issue? I can post my log I extracted if anyone wants to see it.

Same issue here, with Telenor Hungary. Usually I got this on low reception areas, where my previous Z5C still used to work. I'm "disconnected" right now, so I tried to search for mobile networks: my home network shows up as "Emergency calls only" for 2G/3G/LTE also.
I have tested my SIM now on 2 other phones and it works just fine. I also contacted my carrier and they reconfigured my number in their system(something like a reboot for your number). Now I'm 100% sure it's the phone's fault. Sony needs to at least acknowledge it.
I've been having problems with streams dropping out, WIFI calling dropping out, games dropping out, etc, turns out that is all caused by the wifi on this A70 dropping out. It seems the more demand I place on the wifi, the more likely it is to reset. It drops the wifi, switches over to LTE (making me use all my data) for about 10 seconds then the wifi comes back. I just upgraded from a Note 4 that never had this problem so it's definitely not my router.
I've tried every setting I could find, from turning off the "switch to LTE if wifi unstable" to the hidden "wifi safe mode" setting in Developer Options. Nothing makes this wifi stable.
These drop outs happen no matter the signal strength - I've seen it happen 5 times in a row when I'm at full bars/-55dB, right next to the router. Does anyone know of a fix for this?
hear hear! same here...wifi on this phone is simply awful...it makes surfing almost unbearable on a70...it drops connection with wifi all the time, switch to data and comes back to wifi many times a day...it seems samsung is trying to hard to make wifi smarter than usual...it shows checking quality of your connection, please, don't check anything just let me use any wifi with decent signal! i can't even describe how frustrating it is!
at the same time mine old lg v20 is still working perfectly on wifi 24/7 without single problem on the same network...

I have this model. I haven't had any problems that I noticed. At home I use N WiFi on 2.4. Seems ok at the office, haven't checked if it's using the 5 band there.
Maybe i can change same in config WiFi but who ?
I have root
I'm in UK and no WiFi problems with my A70 at all.
No problems for me also, home wifi and free hotspots at work and town works perfectly. EU country.

I also have this problem. I notice that when I start playing any games that my wifi just drops and disconnects. Maybe it has something to do with the latest update. What ever it is, I hope we can fix this soon
after november update wifi is acting up again...it drops connection every once in a while...
