Hello,
I'm using two swedish providers in my phone - 3 and Telenor. Both are capable of LTE/UMTS, I'm using 3 as the primary provider for all options in the Sim settings and the Telenor one only to receive calls.
So I recognized a problem where my data connection would drop when the 'open wifi'-notification popped, I tried to disable that and it seemed fine at first. However I'm still getting data connection drops when me phone swaps from LTE to UMTS(3G/H/H+), no errors are thrown and I'm only seeing it due to no data loading within apps or disconnects in-game, the display isn't dropping the coverage indicator nor the indicator for which network is being used(3G, H, H+, LTE, 4G+). After some time the data connection returns but keeps dropping rather frequently once this pattern starts.
Airplane mode restores connectivity for a while (I haven't clocked it) but eventually the connection stops receiving data and the disconnecting pattern returns.
Calls and SMS are working as far as I've noticed so far.
Any ideas?
Edit: I've restarted the phone multiple times.
Any one got similar issues or any fix :3?

I noticed that when i am on a call my data connection dissapears and when i hang up the connectino returns.. is this a known issue? or does anyone know how to fix this?
Also the connection drops a couple of times a day (random intervals) and i have to enable and disable airplane mode to reinstate the connection..
if you got only a 2G signal, this is normal and has been asked multiple times.
It also depends on your network. Some networks don't allow simultaneous voice and data, even on 3G!
as for the random drops, that ain't normal but can be the network killing the connection from their end to free up bandwidth on a inadequate network or cell.
of course, it could also be a dodgy phone :-(
It's normal in 2 situations:
- you are on 2G (GPRS, EDGE)
- you have poor signal and the phone can't cope and prefers to keep the voice connection.
Have you tried to browse while talking and it didn't work or is it just the indicator that disappears?
Works for me, called my landline from mobile, dropped to the home screen once the call connected, then loaded google in the internet browser (and it even detected my location!) Oh I was on hsdpa btw.
I know that Orange phones wont allow data and voice simultaneously
Im on orange and i just tested it on a 3g connection, it does work for me
I'm on t mobile UK, as I said above works here.

For me, a similar problem
Setting the network mode to auto or just wdcma makes the phone unusable.
Although the extent of the phone grabs. Nay, sometimes even 5 bars but the state does not tra large than 5 (sometimes 10) minutes and reach lost. Often with good coverage, I can not make calls and the internet does not work. Redials the phone ends in the subscriber information out of reach (the phone shows that he has range)
Switching the phone on GSM ONLY mode causes that everything starts to work as it should (only the net so slow)
The problem started a week ago
The problem occurs in various parts of the city, regardless of whether I use the transmitter Play network or roaming.
Factory reset did not help. I suspect the SIM card but the more I'm bending your point defect (eg antenna) since the last few months everything worked
EDIT:
1h watched by telephone yesterday, and what I noticed.
The problem is when a weak signal mode UMTS.
The signal strength of -90,-95dBm causes the phone to have problems. If the signal is below-100dBm the phone is able to maintain a dial-up connection to the Internet are no longer problems. Often there are also decreases above 100dBm signal which usually end up losing the connection of both GSM as well as internet and phone needs a few dozen seconds to reconnect.
If you set the mode to GSM only signal strength is-55dBm and the problems do not occur.

it's your network providers problem not our's. you can obviously not get 3G all around your city
I bought the N7105 from Phones4U and unlocked it to use when my SGS3 LTE was playing up but since moved my 3 SIM into the phone. It was working flawlessly for about a month but then started, maybe once per week or once every second week, getting fixed in a state where it seems to think that there's no mobile signal. Fair enough, sometimes I lose signal, however when the signal comes back the phone remains stuck in this condition. HSPA+ data is working, it shows the correct network name and can receive incoming calls but the "no entry" icon is in the notification bar and when I try to make an outgoing call I'm prevented from doing so with an error message indicated "The selected mobile network is not available". Disabling the data connection, searching for networks and toggling airplane mode don't seem to help and I can only make outgoing calls again by doing at least a soft reboot. The device is not rooted and is running stock 4.1.1. Has anyone else experienced anything like this?
Hello all,
I got my P6 for a few days and from time to time I had troubles to connect the data network (2G and 3G).
When I switch the data on, it connects to the network for 1/2 seconde and then it disconnects (the H+ symbol stays on though). Switching the data off and on again only repeats the problem.
Restarting the phone allowed me to finally have a stable connection so far but since this morning it doesn't work anymore. Removing the sim didn't help.
I'm on B125.
Anyone encountered this problem and managed to solve it?
Thanks!
I may have solved the problem.
Use tweakker from the play store to get the exact apn details for your carrier (mine is Base Belgium) and put them in the apn settings.
Since that I can connect the data without any issue (except a new bug: switching to "2g only" make the connection bug again, except if the data is switch off before and switch back on after a dozen of seconds). It seems that it is more like a carrier problem but that creates bugs only with Huawei products (source: internet).
It seems that the P6 is a very capricious phone, I love it but I wouldn't recommend it to anyone which is not an engineer!
Hi, I've been using the Xperia XZ2 Compact for the past week and have been experiencing an issue with mobile connectivity. Here is a copy from the thread in Sony support Forum.
I'm also experiencing this issue, but I get random disconnects and/or changes of carrier even when standing still. Here are some thing I also noticed and I hope we can get a fix soon:
- when I connect through national roaming I get a notification that it is disabled even though it's not and it disappears immediately.
- Sometimes when I'm connected to LTE+ I don't have any mobile data for short periods of time, but I think this issue is not related.
- When I lose signal nothing happens other than the signal bar changes to an outline but when I get randomly disconnected(or unregistered if you want to call it that way) I get a notification that my mobile carriers' network is unavailable.
I live in Poland and I'm using a virtual carrier called "mobile vikings" that uses the infrastructure of P4(commonly known as "Play") and allows roaming to t-mobile and "PLUS" but only on max H+ speeds. I tested my SIM on my previous phone - Xperia M5, and it's working just fine. I hope because it's happening to other ppl that it's a software issue that can be fixed in next updates. Is anyone also experiencing a similar issue? I can post my log I extracted if anyone wants to see it.

Same issue here, with Telenor Hungary. Usually I got this on low reception areas, where my previous Z5C still used to work. I'm "disconnected" right now, so I tried to search for mobile networks: my home network shows up as "Emergency calls only" for 2G/3G/LTE also.
I have tested my SIM now on 2 other phones and it works just fine. I also contacted my carrier and they reconfigured my number in their system(something like a reboot for your number). Now I'm 100% sure it's the phone's fault. Sony needs to at least acknowledge it.
