Connection Dropping Off - G4 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hello. My data carrier (2G, 3G & 4G connection) keeps dropping out, and I have to restart my phone all the time to get it back. Any fixes for that?

I have the same issue in UK on O2. Seems hardware issue as it started happening recently... couple of months after v20D update on my 815.

T-Mobile UK ICS 4.0.4 Dropping connection and ....

Hi
Does anyone on T-Mobile UK have a problem today with their reception:
- data: constantly dropping or not connecting whatsoever
- calls: it connects but every 30-40s there is a silence for about 2-3s and it feels like connection has just dropped down....
Anyone having similar problems?
What moderm you got, I had the same issue, till I flashed a new moderm, the latest one, and it's been better since.

[Q] Network signal problems after 1.28

Hi. Has anyone had a problem where the phone just disconnects from the phone network and won't connect again until a soft reset? It started to happen after the 1.28 update.
Yes, I have the same issue with O2 Germany.
Do you know of any fixes? Cheers
I've noticed 2 conditions for this issue to appear:
1) network mode is GSM/WCDMA auto or WCDMA only
2) Wi-Fi is on and connected
P.S. I've just managed to workaround this issue (possibly temporary) by just turning Wi-Fi off and on again.
Can you try these things and either confirm or disprove them?
I have waited to see if it disconnects and it seems fine now apart from slow download speeds. It was happening about every hour on friday and saturday!
It was happening when the signal was low mostly.
I dont know how it's fixed itself. I have done lots of soft resets though.
Are your download speeds affected since the update too?
Streaming videos on the phone is very laggy since 1.28.
I might do a hard reset and see if it improves the download speeds.
Hi,
encountered that also yesterday morning, during my sleep , with wifi on and
when awaking there were no more network signal, Orange (Fr) , done a soft reset
to fix it also.
ps: stock rom 1.28

Lost data connection twice today after installing the update

Installed the update this morning, and now I've totally lost data connection twice today. Shows 4 bars of LTE, but won't connect. Switching airplane mode on/off fixes it instantly.
This hasn't happened before (had it about 6 weeks), so I'm guessing this is a new bug.
I'd bet heavier on T-mobile doing work on towers in your area. They're doing this quite often these days. And I was seeing this behavior long before the update. May be no way to know for sure.

No signal when use 4G network for a period of time

I just changed my SIM Card from a 3G SIM to a 4G SIM recently. However I met an issue, whenever I use the 4G Mobile Network for too long (like 1-2 hours), the phone will suddenly lost all signal for 5-10 minute before recovering the signal. The signal bar is empty, and it appears the "Emergency Call Only" stuff. Is it just me or everyone is encountering this problem?
I have no problem at all when restrict the phone to connect 3G/H+ network only, it only occurs when I connect to the 4G network for a period of time.
My friend that uses the same telco with me doesn't have such problem (disconnecting/no signal at all) when connecting to 4G network, and it doesn't seems to be the antenna problem since the problem does not happen when I connect to 3G/H+ networks.
What might likely be the cause? Is there any solution to this?
Sorry for bad English, not my native language
(I live in Malaysia, and using UMobile Telco. )
Now that you mention it, I have pretty much the same issue of losing signals, and the problem hasn't occurred ever since I stopped using 4g. I didn't notice it was because of that, because I changed the phone too while changing the sim. I have marshmallow by the way. Don't know if that might be linked to the problem.

Constantly Loosing Network Connection

Hi,
Just bought my OnePlus3 3 weekes ago. Since day one I am having constantly network signal lost. Device is connected and working fine and them all sudden when launching a new app a msg pops saying: "no network:" To fix the issue I just need to wait one or 2 minutes and it comes back to operational with no intervention, reboot or whatsoever.
Initially I thought that this was happening due to a poor network coverage however even at places where I am sure network coverage is good I still having those issues.
Attached a screenshot
Cheers
