External Audio Issues on BNIB Nextbit Robin - Nextbit Robin

Going to try and keep this as short as possible. My 2 new Robins arrived tonight. Mine is Midnight. Wifes is Mint. Mine works flawlessly. External Audio Out on the front facing speakers doesnt work on hers. While making voice calls via hangouts and phone I can hear through the earpiece. Mic works. Headphones work. BT AUDIO Out works via external speaker. But when I launch YOUTube or Play Music or anything sound related like ringtones nothing can be heard through the front facing speakers? Is this software related? Or hardware related? I already updated when turning on the phone. I already factory reset the device. I bought the phones from Newegg during the $25 masterpass promo code sale.
Any suggestions?

I flashed the previous firmware and rebooted to a functioning device

So the last firmware worked out then?

External audio out. Are you referring to Bluetooth or when it's plugged in? I can't get my bluetooth to work at all but if plugged in with an external speaker it work just fine.

3.5mm Headphone jack not registering...

I have a Sprint Galaxy Nexus running CNA 3.4.1. I've only used the headphone jack maybe twice before to listen to music and everything worked just as it should. Recently however, i tried plugging in some regular headphones and when i played my music it came out the speakers. So i tried a few different headphones and some speakers and still the same problem. The little headphone icon that usually shows up in the status bar doesn't show up. I looked inside the 3.5mm jack and its clean, no lint, bent wires, anything. But no matter what i do i can't seem to get any headset to work. I'm forced to use my bluetooth adapter for my speakers.
This isn't a grave issue as i may rarely use headphones at all. But knowing that option isn't there anymore is just an inconvenience.
Any help appreciated. No rush. Just wondering if anyone else ran into this problem and knows how to fix it.
Thanks in advance.
UPDATE: Turns out after trying to play music through my bluetooth adapter it doesn't work. Bluetooth is connected, my speakers are hooked up, and the music is playing on my phone. Just no sound at all. This is a big deal! It's as if my phone won't play audio through anything but the internal speaker.
Again any help is appreciated.

Return to stock ROM to see if that fixes the problems. If not, it's likely a hw issue that headphones aren't detected.

I did that and still did not recognize it. Feels like my only option left is to open the phone and see if something was disconnected or get a new one.

Suggestions for a BT enabled Car Deck

Alright, just got a new used car.
For my current phone (Captivate) and any future phones/tablets I buy (Nexus/7) I just wanted to know which decks that anyone out there has been using that works well for calls and playing music.. My BT Motorola T305 speakerphone is a bit spotty and would like to just integrate everything into the deck.
For reference, the devices will be plugged in while in the car, so power consumption is not an issue. Thanks all.

Jabras are usually the best for cars..try them out..
Dension Car Dock(nice design, power usb and audio line or FM) or bluetooth kit for stock radio.
I have only used Kenwood and Alpine decks.
The Kenwood has better noise cancelling external mic for calls. Problem with Kenwoods was the bluetooth features weren't the same across decks, as price went up you got more bluetooth profiles(say like A2DP). i.e low end deck has bluetooth for calls only, higher end had you could call and stream music with car stereo as output speaker without having to hook in a cable.
The Alpine was more of the same, didn't like the external mic as much. For Apple products which you don't have it had integrated Pandora to control the app from the stereo. My next purchase may revolve around how it handles the phone address book.

No sound during calls or video / music playback.

5 months old phone. No sound at all. I can't hear caller nor they can hear me. No sound during video or audio playback. Tried using headphones, same issue. Odin back to stock, still no go.
Sent it back last week, just got an update today that it has water damage. Never dropped in water, so i have no clue wtf they are talking about. Waiting to get the phone back to see the pictures of the "damage".
Assuming is a hardware issue, is the audio chip / card replaceable, or i would need to replace the whole board. ?
Would using a Bluetooth headset work? I wonder if sound still needs to be processed by the audio chip if routed via Bluetooth. Any ideas?

Headphones with a mic are not recognised at all.....

Hi all,
So for the last 6 months I've been trying to use my brothers old pair of Trittons with the mic removed to listen to audio since they were the best headphones I could use at the time. They worked fine for about a month, until suddenly they weren't being recognised anymore. For the last 6 months I've been trying all the fixes I've seen on Google. Use compressed air to clean the port, wipe the cache partition etc. I no longer use the headphones so it wasn't a major issue until today, when my HyperX Cloud IIs arrived, and again the problem exists.
The phone won't even detect they are plugged in. It just plays music through the speakers. I've tested the headphones in my brothers iPhone as well as my PC and they 100% work, it is literally just a problem with the phone.
Other headphones I've used that work perfectly: Takstar HI2050s, Panasonic in-ear, Sony in-ear, Beyerdynamic Custom Ones. All of these have the common trait of not having a mic built in (3-pin 3.5mm connector as oppose to 4). It must be something in the software rejecting 4 pin and it's beyond annoying now.
Any help would be massively appreciated
Still not found a solution to this, if anyone knows a fix I'd be grateful

Nexus 7 2013 lost speakers

My speakers were working fine. They were making some crackling sounds then went completely dead. I get sound from the headphones fine. Bluetooth also works fine. But there is not any speaker sounds. I did a factory reset which did not help. I connected new speakers. Still no sound. I disconnected the battery for a while and then rebooted. So my guess would be that the speaker amplifier on the motherboard croaked. Is this a known issues with these? Is there anything else I can try. There might be a possibility that I plugged headphones in and when taken out the speakers were not working. Any ideas or is it live with a Bluetooth speaker or get a replacement motherboard? Thanks.
