Hello everyone,
I recently updated Nitrogen OS ROM to the 20161024 version, since then I cannot get any signal and I get the "emergency call only" warning. I tried going back to the ROM I was using, also Nitrogen but with Android M, but the problem persisted. Someone recomended that I installed the base band again, I tried all the european versions and none worked plus the V20's had trouble recognizing the SIM card. I will try other custom ROMs and see if it persists. Other than that I have .lbf backup file I did just before starting to use custom ROMs but I have no idea what to do with it. Can someone help me? I really like this phone and other than that it works really well and don't want it become unusable.

Hi, my name is Daniel and I am in serious need of some help. I have a rooted T999 for T-Mobile. TWRP recover installed. I am running into some frankly strange issues. If I am in a call and I am not using the speaker, no one is able to hear me. If I am in a call, they can hear me but with occasional clicking sounds and very bad quality. I tried re installing the baseband but it does nothing. Can anyone help me please?
Baseband version: T999UVEMJC
Thank you!
What Rom and Kernel do you have ? If on Stock then can you do factory reset ?
I am running complete stock. The only thing I put was TWRP 2.6.3 I believe. I have factory reset a few times to no effect.
If you are not on Touchwiz Stock 4.3, then please switch the Baseband to LJC.
Will that solve the mic not working without speaker?
Yes I suspect it might.
Ok, I downloaded the correct basebadnd you told me and flashed it through TWRP. I booted and it showed no signal. Then I went into setting, networks, and mobile networks and it said please insert SIM card. I cleared cache and installed the old baseband and it works but in the same manner.
I don't think you mentioned your Current Rom. Please also provide Kernel.
I have taken a screens hot and attached it. Should help answer your question, I hope
Please if possible, try a AOSP Rom instead of Stock Touchwiz. At the least it will rule out hardware issues. If that's not an option, and SELinux is enforcing, I don't know if you can change.
Yeah, I tried a AOSP rom and no dice. I was looking online and saw that I am actually not the only one. Other people who took the 4.3 update seem to be having this issue.
The AOSP Rom took out the TW Rom as a culprit. If you still have an issue the probably a hardware issue.
Hey guys so I was looking and it turns out I'm more clueless than even I originally suspected. The ROM I originally flashed was based off of Touchwiz. What ROM should I be flashing because I cannot seem to find one that is aosp to the core?
The one I was going to try was Dirty Unicorn but I cannot tell if that even is what I should be trying.
Try Liquidsmooth, Pacman, SlimBean and so on. There are a number of quality Roms out there. I only suggested 3 that first popped into mind
Alright. I'll try those.
So i got a secondhand g2 from craigslist, everything works except there's no sound at all, it was already rooted and running a custom ROM called N5 project, so i tried flashing CM11 and Pacman ROMS and both give me bootloops.
Also the phone recognizes my GSM sim and carrier, but i can't make or receive calls, even when i automatically get the APN.
Could the bootloop be caused by an incompatible kernel? which one should i flash if i wanna use CM11 or an AOSP based ROM.
Gonna try my best to give as much information as I can to make it easier for anyone good enough to try and help me with this. So I have an HTC One M9, from Sprint right here in the good old US of A, and it was working fine until I got the OTA Marshmallow update. At that point, apps started crashing like crazy (even after all were updated) and the status bar at the top of the screen and navigation buttons at the bottom would randomly disappear for several seconds after pressing the volume buttons, even after wiping the cache for both the system as well as the individual apps in question.
"No problem," I thought, "I'll just root it and install a custom ROM like I have with all my Android phones in the past." So I did that and tried Android Revolution, ICE, and ViperOne (all the latest versions), and every one of them had the same issues with programs crashing, the volume buttons messing up the screen, and so on. Actually, I couldn't even get through the setup wizards for any of them because those kept crashing too, and I had to use TWRP to rename the HTCSetupWizard.apk just to get to the home screen. Once there, my home button was inoperable, and no notifications or usual buttons like WiFi, Bluetooth, etc appeared when I pulled down on the status bar (which I discovered is what Android does if you don't complete the setup wizard).
At this point, I thought, "Well, maybe it's just a problem where my phone doesn't like Marshmallow for some reason. Let me try downgrading to Lollipop and see what happens." So I got the latest Lollipop versions for each of the aforementioned Custom ROMs, and they all ran smooth as silk, which tells me it's not an issue with faulty or damaged hardware. Only problem was that mobile data wouldn't work, on either LTE or CDMA settings.
I tried changing network modes, popping my SIM card in and out and rebooting in various combinations, but none of it worked. I couldn't even get into APN settings since the phone couldn't seem to detect my SIM card and had the APN menu greyed out. I thought I might have somehow damaged the SIM card with all the time I spent screwing around with the phone, but just to see what happened, I flashed a Marshmallow ROM back onto the phone and, sure enough, LTE service was right back.
I did some more research and saw that the issue may lay in the fact that the firmware (which is currently OS version 3.41.651.4) is not usable for Lollipop OS versions, and since my phone is S-ON (and I'm really not interested in spending $25 to S-OFF it), I'm not able to downgrade the firmware or, I assume, the radio firmware (if that's something you can even do separately from the "regular" firmware. Currently version [email protected]).
At this point, I'm really not sure what to do, and could use some guidance. I feel like my options basically boil down to the following:
1)Find a way to make Marshmallow ROMs more stable, possibly by reinstalling the firmware or some other method someone here might know that I don't,
2)S-OFF my phone, downgrade my firmware to something Lollipop can work with, and try a Lollipop-era ROM (not ideal), or
3)Go back to stock and hope Sprint pushes down an update my phone can use.
After going through all that, does anyone reading this have a recommendation for which of these options would be best (and how to go about them), or possibly offer other ideas I haven't come up with during the week and a half I've been researching and trying to fix it myself? I'm not hellbent on any particular option, I just want my phone to work (all of it) without constant crashes and glitches. Thank you to anyone who read all that and is still moved to offer help!
If you can run lollipop based roms you'd be on Lollipop firmware.
If you're going to mess around with aftermarket software you need s-off. If you don't s-off then you are risking unrecoverable bricks.

Okay, so if I'm on Lollipop firmware, would it stand to reason that that's why I'm having trouble running Marshmallow ROMs, including the stock ROM from Sprint? If so, what's the best (and safest) way to update it?
Hello @ all !
Since the update to Android 6.0 there are no more sounds.
Everything in connection with sound don't work. When i change volume level, there is no "beep" ton.
Also i can't call or can be called. When i try to call it freeze, only power menu to restart works. When somebody trys to call me, it's like my phone is off, but it's on.
I am registerd to the network, so i can send and reach sms / use the internet.
I tried the ROM from Leedroid , ViperRom , RevolutionHD and MaximusHD. ( FULL WIPE etc. i tried every option.... )
When use the CandySix Rom, i have sound and i can call...
Would be great if anybody could help me.
THX A LOT!
I think I may have the same issue. I purchased a used M9 of AT&T variant. I know it had sound as the first time I booted it I heard the ATT boot sound. I never used the phone though and I immediately entered fastboot and changed it to a developer edition (the phone was already s-off and unlocked) I then installed LeeDroid via TWRP. The rom works fine but I have no sound at all from internal speakers or headphones. I also tried ViperOneM9 with the same result. I have not yet tried CandySix, but I will.
The only thing that is different fro me is that I don't have a sim yet for my carrier so the phone isn't yet registered. It is on wifi though. No sounds work at all. Touch sounds, volume rocker sounds, notifications, music also doesn't play from mp3's I have on my sd card (they actually don't seem to even start as the time counter doesn't ever start even after hitting pause and play)
Any Ideas at all?

Take a look over in the LeeDroid thread. You need to flash the latest firmware before installing the HTC MM based ROMs.
it's awlays common sense to read the OP. especially when there is a major upgrade like from lollipop to marshmallow where the whole firmware is changed/modified . be always sure to run latest firmware when trying to use latest roms. aosp/cm are a different story, for them it doesn't matter if lollipop firmware or MM is used
Hello everyone, so I'm having a hard time with my G3, I do not know if I was drawn .. or it could be something else, plus the fact and that, I got a LG G3 recently, and since then I'm trying to install a custom room other than Stock, so I'm having an error, after I install any room, my device is in bootloop, I reinstalled the factory system, via KDZ, I practically tested all that are possible to perform root access, but without success, the only ROM I can install and Tekcafe, that at some point, time restarts the device, or heats the same one more than normal.
I did a very intense search, and I could not find a probable cause for this problem. I ask for your help.
current device information
this is with Tekcafe 5.5, the wifi and bluetooth does not work, (I believe it is a physical problem) battery is not problem, I did not notice any other error that could cause such problem.
Remembering, I tried to change the file extension from ext4 to f2fs, even without success.
I tried installing lineage the 15, Crdroid, and ..
I am very grateful if anyone can help me with this problem.:crying::crying::crying::crying:
