Follow these instructions I have my phone rooted:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/z5-premium/development/mm-e6883-6-0-1-fw-32-2-0-224-t3391789
Rootable kernel FW253.zip flashed and root performed.
Service Info: Bootloader unlocked: Yes
E6883-kernel TWRP Fixed.zip flashed
Service Info: Unlocked allowed boot loader: Yes - is it really?
If I then now Flash a Custom Rom and restart the screen stays black and I see every now and then only the LEDs.
Tried several roms. Does anyone have an idea what I am doing wrong?

I successfully rooted my Wildfire S 510e but still with S-On and then installed Cyanogen Mod7; I subsequently needed to get the network unlocked so I got the appropriate SIM unlock code and that works. However, every time the phone is rebooted I have to re-enter the SIM unlock code which is annoying. So I looked around and other users suggested I reinstall the stock Gingerbread ROM. I followed the instructions which included relocking the bootloader and then running an RUU.
The bootlocker worked but the RUU failed although the phone still works OK but when I select the Recovery option there's no menu just a red triangle; if I then hold the volume up key and the start button a restricted menu is displayed e.g. install a zip file option is not available.
I've tried the HTCdev Unlock Bootloader but that fails because the Cyanogen ROM doesn't match the expected stock ROM in the RUU.
Questions:
1. Is there a way to unlock the bootloader with Cyanogen Mod7 installed?
2. Can I get the full Recovery menu reinstalled?
Any other tips appreciated.
Thanks

If you have installed cyanogenmod 7, then you have probably unlocked the bootloader and installed the recovery.............if the recovery doesn't show up, try flashing it again via fastboot
And NO, I won't tell you how to because there are countless threads on this all over the forum
I have downloaded the full update of about 650 MB. But now I'm unable to install the update. When I go to Install now option, it ends up on the Bootloader menu. It shows Tampered Locked Security warning (see pictures). I neither tried to root the device nor tried to unlock the bootloader . I don't know what to do now. Any kind of help will be appreciated.
Was the phone purchased new from a reputable seller? Meaning, is it possible a previous owner unlocked the bootloader (root, s-off, etc.), than changed the LOCKED and S-ON flags?
If not, its very odd indeed to have TAMPERED if it was purchased new from your carrier or similar reliable source.
What happens if you select HBOOT from the menu and go into recovery?
The top line says tempered... Might be unlocked or the recovery is not stock... Try doing whats written in the Post above mine...

IDK how I got the tampered banner off mine. I do not have S-off so I couldn't do any of the tricks, I think Locking the bootloader, flashing stock recovery, and flashing the stock ruu must of done the trick.
I just followed all of the steps to unlock the bootloader through HTCDev, but I'm having trouble in getting it to an unlocked state. Every time I flash the unlock_code.bin in fastboot, it prompts me if I want to unlock the bootloader, I select yes and the device formats and restarts. After I go through the initial setup again and enable usb debugging to reboot into fastboot, the status of the phone is still locked. Is there some step I missed to unlock this phone or is there a problem with HTCdev?

I had trouble when I unlocked mine, but not with what you're describing. When I received my initial unlock code, I had done the HTCdev method with choosing one (M8) for my phone and the file would not flash. I re-ran HTCdev choosing "all other devices" and everything worked like a charm. Worth a shot.
I ended up getting it working by downloading the latest software update and trying again. I was just trying to get a GPE rom on here quickly because sense was aggravating me so much. Hopefully this helps anyone else that ends up having this problem!
Remember to get s-off first

It sounds like that is already bootloader unlocked. Boot into recovery and see if it's stock or not. If recovery is stock, you need to install twrp or cwm then you can flash a rom. If one of those is already there you're ready to flash a rom already. Instructions on installing recoveries and roms, etc are here in the forums if you do a quick search.
thankssomuch
awesome..after updating to 4.4.4 ,everything worked like charm....thanks a zillion:good::laugh::laugh::laugh:
Hi guys,

Hello everyone
Yesterday I turned my HTC one M9 from Unloked S-ON to Unlocked S-OFF via sunshine, then I installed via adb in dowloadmode a firmware update, considering I'm S-off I used a international rom. The installation ended perfect without errors or problem, I rebooted to normal mode and after the HTC white screen the screen goes black. I tried to use diferent firmwares but the result is the same.
In simple words after updated the firmware the phone won't pass the blank black screen.
Phone can be charge, boot into any mode and can be turned off or on. Just don't want to pass the blank screen.
OS: 3.35.401.12
CID: 11111111
Any help, suggestion or answer is welcome.
Thanks
Did you flash a new rom, or just update the firmware? The phone won't boot if you're running 3.x firmware but the OS is still on 2.x.

Hello All,
Can anybody please explain what is S-ON/S-OFF and UNLOCKED status exactly?
Thank you
S-ON-Locked | S-ON-Unlocked | S-OFF-Locked or Unlocked (briefly)
1.S-ON and Locked
You can only flash the official firmware RUU.exe(zip) with the same or higher version that is installed in the phone.
Nothing else we can flash.
2.S-ON and Unlocked
You can set Custom Recovery and use it to flash custom ROMs.
You can change CID (but not to 11111111).
Can't flash Radio, HBOOT (both up and down) and other parts of FIRMWARE.
Also official firmware RUU.exe(zip) cannot be flashed.
3.S-OFF and never Locked or Unlocked.
Full freedom of your own actions. you can do everything that was not quoted above.

How to enter Bootloader on an Android-based hTC: Remove the battery then press the volume down and turn on
Do not let go until the menu appears with 3 android's on skateboards at the bottom of the screen
At the top you will see the status of your bootloader
