I made a mistake by updating to latest Pre-Rooted rom directly from a manually rooted old ROM. I realized it after reading carefully that I should have updated to "Pre-Rooted ROM version 51.1.4.0 at some point". I upgraded via rbox boot menu and CWM.
The update was successful into Fire TV home screens. But after reboot the device was dead with no LED, no HDMI output.
So I followed this instruction exactly to bring the LED and HDMI output back successfully. However, now the device is in a boot loop. No color Fire TV logo. Just white amazon logo and then the message "The system update was not successful" and then reboot itself.
Did manage to get into the stock recovery menu and did a factory reset. It doesn't change anything.
What's my option now?
(I had rbox boot menu and CWM installed -- no more. Don't remember the bootloader was partially or fully unlocked).

Hey guys, I am pretty new at anything Android related and am in serious need of some help after several hours of struggling to revive my fire. Basically I took my stock kindle and installed a permanent root for the first time ever with the KF utility, after which I proceeded to install the latest TWRP Recovery using the same utility. Upon reboot after TWRP install, I immediately wiped the Dalvik cache and attempted to install the latest gedeROM build (26-6-2012). It seemed to flash ok, but on startup now the kindle will show the standard kindle fire logo, followed by the cyanogen 9 mod loading screen, at which it will stay in the animation forever, and never actually load up. Unfortunately in my noobness I did not realize that installing TWRP was not all I needed to do in order to achieve the option to boot into recovery mode every time, and now I cannot figure out how to once again get to that so I can install a backup of my stock firmware, which I did make. Is there a way to get the kindle into recovery mode without the ability to select that option when starting up? If I plug the kindle into my pc whilst it's stuck on the CM9 animation, the ADB status says online and has a boot status of 4000. When I attempt to send any commands to the kindle from the KF utility telling it to reboot into recovery, it just says waiting for device. I'm sure I just missed an obvious step along the way of the install, but I cannot seem to do anything with the kindle currently, so any help on reviving it would be fantastic!
Hi, just received a 8.9" KFHD running 8.3.1. Rooted it per instruction from this site and install TWRP as per this site. No problem. Then I downloaded the Google apps zip and latest CM10.1 mod to install. However, I was unable to transfer them across to the Kindle, I presume until I was out of TWRP. It was staying in TWRP and would not reboot out of it. I noticed that it had 'no OS' installed. Now it is stuck in the blue kindle fire load up screen and will not load into TWRP
hope this helps

my kindle was at white and blue logo screen and wont boot, but if i powered down completely and turn it back on while holding volume up button for 10 seconds and let go it would go TWRP and from there i did adb sideload a stock rom to fix that issue, hope this helps.
I have a Kindle Fire HD 7". What I did was I tried to install TWRP and hashcode's 2nd bootloader (v7.4.3) via the app "Fire Flash" since fastboot was giving me a hard time. Anyway what I did was I flashed the bootloader and TWRP (version 6.2.2.0) I rebooted and everything went fine, I saw the white and orange kindle logo first. Then the white and blue, then my custom boot animation and then it went to the lockscreen. However when I chose the "Reboot Recovery" option to get into TWRP I got stuck in a bootloop. The kindle would show the white and orange boot logo and then the screen would go black and it would just do this in an infinite loop. I ordered a factory cable from skOrPn so all I would like to know now is how am I supposed to fix this and what exactly went wrong so I don't screw up again in the future.
I got the files from this thread if you couldn't find it: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2128848
(Also I'm rooted and I have stock Amazon OS 7.4.3, I can't access the kindle using adb or fastboot with a normal cable)

Thanks, found a few things that might help me out
So i flashed TWRP - did a wipe, tried sideloading prerooted Rom.
Stick is stuck booting now - only thing I can see is the white Amazon Logo / boots directly to the white amazon logo. Not recognized in device manager so no adb...
Anything I can do - or just get a new one?
Hi All,
I am having issues with my FireTV Box Gen 1 (Bueller). The issue is when i turn off the TV and the box basically after 30 minutes or so, reboots and goes to recovery and get stuck there. I have to reset it by pulling power to bring it to the OS. When rebooted, it will work fine, but when i turn off the TV, it does same thing.
FireTV Gen 1 is Rooted and using rbox’s latest and last update. Bootloader is fully unlocked and TWRP is installed.
I have formatted and installed the OS and same issue.
Is there a way to fix this? if yes, please advise
If no to above, can i revert back to Stock Recovery? if yes, how?
I tried searching form, i can only find unroot option if you have clockwork recovery

If you mean the bootmenu cold-boots into twrp instead fireOS, try wiping cache...
i figured it out. there was an update pending latest update. somehow rbox modded firmware downloaded that and it was scheduling to install. i cleared the cache and disabled ota and took care of it.
