I know I cannot access normal ussd dialer codes on my project fi purchased nexus 5x
but since i'm porting back to t-mobile will I be able to access normal dialer codes then?
is there any stock rom we can flash that gives us back ussd dialer codes? and preferably a rom with less bloat I don't want project fi app and a bunch of other stock system apps since I prefer getting the google apps via play store on my own?

So I'm coming to the HTC One M9 from a Nexus 4 on TMO. The Nexus 4 had the Google Dialer and I liked it tremendously more than whats on the HTC One M9, especially with Google Caller ID. I don't want to do a customer ROM however because losing wifi calling is not an option.
Has anyone gotten Google Dialer with Google Caller ID to work on our phone? Any other app store options?
Are you going to root? There is a thread with gpe contacts and dialer in XDA but it is a flashable .zip that replaces the stock HTC dialer. It does work as I use it on my m8.

There is also now a thread as of today with a zip that can be flashed in combination with a custom rom to give you WiFi calling.

I'm looking for a way to replace my stock dialer on 13b with Google own dialer and contacts app I've tried apkmirror for downloading them but they fail to install yes I made sure to try the one specifically for lollipop is their any way to do this?

Obviously not what you want - I'm honestly not sure how to get those working right now -
but you could use KK Dialer and KK Contacts from GPlay, then if you really wanted you could modify the icons to make them look like Google Dialer and Contacts,
their UI's are very very similar to Google's Stock. These are my replacements ATM.
Hopefully we get support for these two soon though! I wish to see it that Google keeps building their apps to support more and more devices.
I got Google dialer 2.05.07 RC4 working on my H811 device.

Thank you for the confirmation, we're looking for a minimum of 5.0 or 5.1.
2.0.5.07 RC4 is minimum 6.0. But that is good to know for M users!
I am looking for something that has all the native dialer function + Sip support, exactly like the lineage OS dialer. Packaged into APK to be used on any Android 6+ phone.
I am a VOIP user and come to enjoy custom ROM's native dialer with built in SIP client integration. Well, at least all my rooted phones (LG G2 and Galaxy phones) with custom ROMs has that built in.
Now, is there any recommended dialer similar to that on XDA or Playstore? I've looked for the past few days and none come up so far. The best I can come up with is Zoiper but it too has a draw back that it cannot edit contact information. All the dialers I tried on playstore doesn't support SIP.
ACR Phone. Get it on APKMirror.
there is an option to forward calls entirely or selectively when using most stock Android One / AOSP phone inside the Google dialer app settings itself. (MI A1, A2, Nokia 7 Plus, Zenfone M1)
The option is also available on MIUI, Samsung, Huawei stock dialer apps. But the Google dialer on LineageOS has that option missing.
Any suggestions how to enable "call forwading options" on LineageOS + Open Gapps on Note 5 Pro ?
I suggest you ask ROM specific questions in the LOS thread. If you feel that you found a bug, I encourage to submit report it in the JIRA bugtracker.

This feature is not available in Los or any Google dialer apps. I am using custom Roms from 3 years and I've never seen such options in any Aosp/Google dialer apps.

Yes, call forwarding option within settings is not available when using the Google dialer app on LineageOS. But it is definetly available on Google dialer app settings on AOSP like roms on Moto G5s, Zenfone M1, Oneplus. Android One devices like Mi A1, A2. It is also available on stock MIUI, ColorOS, Funtouch, Touchwiz ROM dialer apps.

It will be very better If some one ports any of those dialers
go to Settings in dialer
then Calling accounts
then select your sim card
then GSM call settings
then call forwarding

Thank you so much!
I was wondering "how come this basic feature is missing!"
And this is bad UX, very disappointed.
I've been using mostly Moto phones for some time where I can message, add contact, block, and copy numbers directly in the Dialer. The only option available on the Stock A50 Dialer is Delete, which is pathetic. The Google Dialer is shown as non-compatible from the Play Store. I've seen some people talk about using Hiya on Samsung phones, but it's clumsier and has no option for a Dark Theme. I'm wondering what other options are out there without root? Thanks.
try this port of the google dialer for non compatible phones

Thanks much...found an alternate older port this morning and it works...heard this one was newer on that thread. This morning I got a dropdown in the Samsung Dialer that had some of the functionality I was looking for, but I can't bring it back up...yet. Hopefully I'll figure that out as well.
Thanks again!
