I would start by uninstalling updates then update it again. I would save deleting it's data as a last resort.

Thank you but I was giving him my thoughts on fixing his Google services app that was using more battery than it should.

I always leave my phone charging all night long and almost always i wake up aroun 8 or 9 am. I really feel that my battery life is draining so fast without a "hard" use and i dont know why. In the attached screenshots you can see that my battery drained about 80% in just 5:40 hours, it drained just using whatsapp a few times while listening music.... is my battery drain normal? or may i have some issues? I am 4.1.2 rogers stock rom. Thank you so much for your time
PS
i forgot to say that LTE was on for about 1:30 or 2:00 hours

I hibernate things I don't want auto syncing or running while the phone is off and not in use, like maps, games, tune-in radio, etc. If you start to have problems with any of the apps on your hibernate list just un-greenify them. If you don't care about facebook notifications/sync you can try adding it to the list.

Statistic Type: (3) Since Unplugged

Cool... Stuff like Location Services, high screen brightness, lots of LTE usage, games, and of course wakelocks from apps that shouldn't be happening or are holding the phone awake when it shouldn't will be the biggest battery drainers. Facebook too.
I'll take a look at it once you get an accurate log posted. When was your last flash? At least a full battery cycle has passed?

My last flash was last week and the less battery that i got was 1% i have also wiped batterystats.bin before a full charge using an app called battery calibration also done it manually from recovery. I almost always have location off (only turn it on when i need to use maps and this rarely occurs) my screen brightness is 1/4 of the full bar. I will post the log later!! I second greenify. I just updated it and had re-greenify and I watched it free up 250 mb of ram. Also if your lucky enough to sleep till 9 who cares about phone stuff! Kids=Sleep deprivation!)
Ok so I bought this phone on Monday. The very first day it gave me a mammoth battery life. I mean a ridiculous OST of 5h 45m 9s and still 7% juice left (screenshots attached in 2nd post).
And then the very next day issues started. First the Android OS... I charged my phone 100% and slept. Woke up and saw it at around 61%.. Shocked and unhappy. Googled a bit and by Noon I stopped a lot of Samsung **** going on at the back. Android OS became normal but MEDIA started to show its baddd side..
And just try to see in the screenshots, it shows the WIFI was on all time/all the time. However I never turned it on. It was off all night.
Screenshots are attached below. Would love some help/guidance here.
And one more thing. All of a sudden the Lock Screen's funky wallpaper has changed into a blue screen wallpaper that has some weird shortcuts ! Why is it happening. Restating the device brings back the same funky paint color wallpaper but then within minutes its back to the same sh*t.
First day usage SCs
do you have any screenshot(s) of the blue screen wallpaper with the weird shortcuts? I'm not experiencing any issues like this.
Don't you think you've touched it unconsciously while you're asleep with parts of your body that toggled the wifi and other stuff?
Try a factory reset

Oh factory reset sucks lol. By the way, I was reading from somewhere (android central forum i think) that to kill Android OS frome ating up all battery, install some CLEAR RAM app to clear your RAM.. which I did. And yesternight I figured out that this clear ram app changed my lockscreen itself..without asking me. So i deleted. Also, I deleted everything on SD Card and removed it. Now I dont know whats keeping the Android OS and MEDIA up all the time. The apps I have installed so far are:
skype, whatsapp, viber, sacebook and temple run. They were installed from day 1 so if they are creating problems, why didnt they create any impact on Day 1? And these are pretty normal apps which I dont think should create any problem.
Plus, wifi always on issue is resolved to by unchecking some option in wifi menu.

first l sympatise with you. There is no problem on Unrooted phone that factory reset cannot Solve except it is factory fault issue, but this is not factory Cos it was ok on day 1.
Your instant messager like Skype and BBM are mainly the applications that hog battery.
Ensure you did not restrict background processes in Developers option.
Ensure your wifi 'and GPS are off when you don't need them.
Don't install any process killer.
Stop auto update
put your phone in battery saving mode.
check to see If there is downloading process going on at background
Also see if there is live streaming (MEDIA SERVER) going on sites you visited like Youtube.
check the running processes in application manager in setting and check if any is constantly RESTARTING. Look for a way to stop such .
Above all try to wait for the research l did on BATTERY POWER AND DATA MANAGEMENT which I will post soon.
Good Luck
Well, one thing that helps is retracing your steps back from the time the problem was first noticed.

Hey Everyone, quick question. I notice in BBS that SystemUpdateService is keeping my phone awake for a substantial amount of time and causing battery drain. I have disabled that service using the "DisableService" app from the play store. The thing is, BBS still shows it as keeping my phone awake and draining battery. Does anyone know how to stop this service from keeping my phone awake and draining battery? Thanks.

last few days i have a ridiculous battery drain from androidos - this is new
no new programs installed
on 7.1.1 stock
anyone else have similar experience>?
Doesn't seem to matter what version you're on or what phone. If it has android Google will eventually target you for some data/battery drain. Mine went from 100% to 59% over night doing nothing - this is on a Nexus 6 runniong 6.0.1. I usually only drop 3%-10% at night, but every once in a while i get hit with the google tax.
There is a lot of news around about a bad update sent out by Facebook and Facebook Messenger that are causing battery drain issues. If you use these apps you may want to uninstall, restart and then reinstall to clear out the issue.

Facebook Messenger destroyed my battery yesterday. I opened the app twice and it caused 20%+ battery drain between charges. Guess that really shouldn't be a surprise given the developer...

To my knowledge, there's really no way to troubleshoot wakelocks without root and Wakelock Detector. I used it and was able to identify nlpcollectorwakelock as my biggest problem. Other smaller ones were identified as well. This was all because my device was awake 100% of the time and Google Play Services were eating majority of the battery. I don't know specifically about the drain on androidOS, but the first step I would take would be root + Wakelock Detector.
