HTC Desire 820s not opening in SP Flash Tool - Desire 820 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hi XDA,
I have installed all the drivers for the SP Flash Tool and I have tried more than one version of the program but still the same problem happens.
I load the scatter file and hit download but when I plug the phone in it tells me that the phone is charging and SP Flash Tool does not move from 0%
I know it is probably Drivers error but I am sure that the drivers are installed because i have just installed a new software on desire 620G using the same laptop and drivers and SP flashtool version and it worked just fine.
I have tried to use another PC .. installed tons of drivers and installed HTC sync manager .. Tried to use ubuntu and different versions of windows but the same problem happens every time.
What should I do ?!

[Q] Driver Problems (S1 Boot Download)

I Read your thread of "Namaste Guide to Arc Rooting" etc and I Started following the procedure of Rooting my LT15i without unlocking the bootloader.
But the moment i connected my Arc in flash mode, It started installing the drivers of "S1 Boot Download" but then it didnt succesfully install them. It also failed to download the drivers via Windows Update.
Could you please provide me the drivers or the Link to them? Or a workaround (if any)
Thank You!

Isn't there any solution to this?
Same here mate
install pc companion..then conect your device..pc companion auto install all driver on your pc..
If your using Win 7 it seems to be a bit stupid concerning the MTP driver i had to reinstall PC companion several times befor it would install the MTP driver properly.
on My XP machine it seems to do it on its own when i connect the phone pretty fast. Win 7 alot slower and half the time it fails to install
There are all drivers what you need
This package includes Fastboot, Flashmode and ADB Drivers for all XPERIA devices
It's from Flashtool
If you have win7 64 bits or win vista 64 bits and you follow the official SE guide (so you have donwloaded Android SDK + modified inf file from SE site), you have to use the inf file I've posted here instead of SE one.
If you are following lollylost100 guide, you'll find needed packages here

[Q] Driver software for Windows 8 x64?

I'm trying to root my HTC Desire but falling at one of the first hurdles: I'm not able to install the driver software, I see the following error:
hxxp://i.imgur.com/5n720Wi.png
I'm running Windows 8 64-bit, and I'm trying to follow the steps to root as described here: androidforums.com/desire-all-things-root/300866-guide-rooting-htc-android-2-2-1-lower-unrevoked-windows-updated-20th-december-2012-a.html
I've installed HTC Sync and uninstalled HTC manager, and uninstalled Dropbox. I can connect to the Desire via USB both in HBOOT (with a successful USB connection message) and in regular Android OS.
I experimented with a couple other drivers - "Universal_Naked_Driver_0.72.zip" and "Acer_A1.win8.usb_drivers.x86_x64.rar" I found mentioned elsewhere.
Are there other drivers available? Any other advice for me to root this for the first time?
I have posted sometime earlier workaround to get it working on Win8, search.

That's not right. Because your screenshot shows an Android 1.0 Device and this means the Desire isn't connected correctly.
Uninstall ALL about HTC and Desire. start the device manager and there activate in the options show disabled Device. Than you look in EVERY directory for Android, Desire, HTC. And remove the Drivers. right klick, remove and than yes and make sure if there is a option that says complete delet the driver say yes.
For Fastboot drivers:
Start Desire in Fastboot, and than you connect to the PC. Normaly Win 8 searches for Drivers. Than it says nothing found. Try in the Device Manager right Klick on Android 1.0 - If there is something about HTC Bootloader with an ! than you have an diferent problem - and research for drivers -> Internet. Than it normaly should work. If not download these drivers directly from unrevoke.
http://unrevoked.com/rootwiki/doku.php/public/windows_hboot_driver_install directly from unrevoked.
and go to device manager, install drivers from PC. Also here make sure the unknown device is an Android 1.0 if the name is different pls tell us.
For Normal use:
after Fastboot works, you download the newest HTC Sync for Desire: http://www.htc.com/de/support/news.aspx?p_id=312&p_name=htc-desire
Ok run the installation BUT After you startet setup it says something like there are a few things missing befor installing. These are HTC Driver, something about Adobe, install these. After that the installer ask for some agreements for HTC Sync now you cancle the install, because all you need are the drivers and they are now installed. It should work now.
If there are some more problems let me know. I had some trouble with the ADB and fastboot drivers a week ago, too but now it works

[Q] Driver's problem

Hi! I'vs just bought a new computer and I have to migrate from my desktop PC to the new laptop. The problem comes after restart the PC. I've installed the Android SDK, the PCCompanion, the Gordon's Gate drivers and the fastboot drivers from flashtool, as on my desktop computer with the advanced reinstall to avoid the prohibition to install unsigned drivers. The problem comes here because with my PC I could flash kernels at this point, but, in my new laptop appears another unknow device called Sony Fastboot Interface inside Android Device in the Device Manager. Any ideas?
No one?
What happens when you try to install the drivers ?
Is it in any way colides with flashing and so on ?
IF not then don't worry.
When I finish, appears another unknow device (Android Bootloader Interface) and if I try to flash a kernel, the console gives me waiting for device
I recall installing few drivers.
1 Regular usb
2 Fastboot mode drivers
3 Flashtool drivers
Try googling "xperia fastboot drivers" and download any you can find, i remember downloading some from sony's official webiste.
Here:
http://developer.sonymobile.com/downloads/drivers/fastboot-driver/
Connect the device in normal mode and fastboot mode and manually select the path to the drivers.
I ended up doing it in windows safe mode, because my pc kept freezing.

Have you tried using flashtool for kernel flash?
Sent from my Xperia X10 using xda premium

Having trouble installing drivers on latest build of Windows 10

Hi friends,
I recently installed a fresh windows 10 latest build (16299).. I have 64 bit windows 10.. The problem is i cant install moto z play drivers on this build. I was able to install drivers on the previous build of windows 10 but on this build i failed... Motorola Device Manager is stuck at step 2 (Installing USB drivers)... I waited for hours but it is stuck... I tried closing and opening the app but still no luck... Tried restarting and then installing drivers but still no luck.. Everything else is installed perfectly including adb but i am unable to install moto drivers.... Can someone help... Without drivers i wont be able to even flash my device
Anyone??? I need to flash my device...please help
1) Install drivers from this topic https://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2588979
2) After that you will be able to manually assign Android ADB Interface driver to your phone in Device Manager

I already have adb installed and it worls fine...its just i am unable to install moto drivers on my pc... I even tried after disabling driver signature bull**** that was introduced in windows...
Those pack also contains proper ADB driver. You do not need separate Moto drivers, original ADB driver from Google will work fine too.
After installation connect your phone in fastboot mode to PC and go to Device Manger. Then update the driver of your phone in manual mode (when you have to choose from the drivers already installed on your PC) and choose Android ADB driver from the list.

Deadbrick MTK6580 SP Flash Tool issue

Hey guys,
Got two same devices -one deadbricked one working just fine. Connected working one used wwr with SP flash Tool to backup the firmware. Worked like a charm.
Now I want to flash it to deadbricked one. Here is the problem as SP Flash Tool throws enable dram error. I have started to mess with the drivers and now alive phone connects just fine (phone shown as VCOM in SP and RAM test works like a charm) but on the same drivers 2nd phone is stuck on 0:00 s on download (or any other activity if that matters).
Device manager is recognising 2nd phone as MTK USB Port now but SP Flash Tool is stuck anyways and if I disconnect the phone it throws an error that "maybe device power up too early".
Any suggestions what should I check or change? Those are the exact same devices so drivers should not be an issue here. Also I have checked like 20 different drivers already.
Update:
Got it connected again but now it is stuck on Download DA for several minutes and fails afterwards with enable dram failed 0xfc0
