Need Help With My Lumia 950 !!

First of all sorry for my bad english, im from germany ^^
I bought a microsoft lumia 950 and i like it very much, but actually im use an Galaxy s6 with my normal android apps.
And i really need these apps on my lumia too. I've read a lot about project astoria, the wconnect.exe tool and xap apps, but astoria is dead and the wconnect.exe tool doesn't work for me (allways getting error-8).
And now my question, is there another possibility to install/sideload android apps or any other apps ?
Device: Microsoft Lumia 950
Software: Win Mobil 10
Version: 1511
Build: 10.0.10586.11
Firmware : 01078.00027.15506.02027
i search for apps like : Youtube , Playstation network, Playstation messages, real instagram etc.
i would be very grateful for your help !

There is still no way to install apk on Windows 10.

Ok thanks, but what is with the "xap apps" are they still working ? (i think they called "xap apps")

It is called sideloading apps. So yes - you can sideload apps - just like you can sideload apk files on android.

Install Windows 10 Mobile Redstone 14393.67 on 512 RAM devices

Note that the guideline is for devices which are running Windows 10 TH2.
I have successfully installed Windows 10 Redstone on my Lumia 520 with build 14393.67, so I post this topic for those who want to experience Windows Anniversary on a limited hardware device like me.
Firstly, you need to ensure your phone is "interop" and can be changed its registry. If yours can't, you can refer to the previous post "Interop Tools Appx for Windows 10 Mobile - registry editor" written by @dxdy

Secondly, change your phone information to "Lumia 950 XL" (After installing the interop tool included in the link above - version 1.7 is recommended)
Open the interop app, navigate to Registry Browser
HKEY_LOCAL_MICHINE/SYSTEM/Platform/DeviceTargetingInfo, then change:
PhoneManuafacturer: "NOKIA" --> "MicrosoftMDG"
PhoneHardwareViriant: ----> RM-1085
PhoneManuafacturerModelName: ---> RM-1085
PhoneModelName: ---> Lumia 950 XL
Important: If you are participating in Insider, you MUST STOP it. Otherwise, you won't receive any builds even Fast/Slow/Release Ring
Go to Update/Check update --> if you see the anniversary build, just waiting as usual. If not, install Upgrade Advisor from the Store, then check
Sometimes, you need to check by both ways (Settings/check update and Advisor) in turn to get updates.

For those who are using WP8.1, you can search "How to interop WP 8.1/ change registry" to upgrade to Windows 10 TH2 first, then apply my guideline, it's supposed to be working fine too.

Is it still possible to update WP8.1 to windows 10 TH2 using interop? Have anyone tried it?

Yes... it is... I tried it when I downgraded my phone to 8.1, it's a bit more difficult than Windows 10 mobile, but you can

Indeed, I understand what you are worried
Needless to say, because of limited hardware, so the device will got stuck sometimes if you open more apps or "heavy apps" like Facebook (>300MB), Messenger (>200MB). However, in genneral, I feel it is even better than TH2 545 actually - opening apps faster, smoother, lots of interesting changes we need to explore.
I am happy with this anniversary build

As far as I know, it's okay if your phone has 1GB of RAM. Otherwise, there is no way.
Hopefully, we can experience RS2 when it is officially released

Maybe, 530 is a very limited hardware device...

Hi, I would like to know if somebody has an older facebook version, appx. The new one keeps crashing.

Yes, the new version of ios apps sucks at beta and public one too.
If you can access pre-install xaps directory, then copy from here.

Please stop linking to older facebook app over and over again , it is 8.3.7.0 not the latest one from MS.

The new Facebook app by Facebook Inc. truly sucks. 101 MB (vs. 13 MB Microsoft app), and it takes forever to load. Missing configuration options (e.g. can't disable annoying in-app sounds). It's a shame Microsoft pulled their version of the app from W10M Store.
Does anyone have an old Microsoft app for Facebook? Not the old WP8 version please, I'm searching for the app targeting Windows 10 Mobile. I still have it on my old Lumia 640 (running W10M); is there any way I can extract it and copy to my new Lumia 950?

I have a nokia lumia 730 running on 8.1 update(8.10.14167.221). It is a prototype phone. I have tried to update it using
1. upgrade advisor
2. insider
but I failed. Please help me by telling the way to update to win's 10. I am new in this site. please kindly tell me step by step.

if not helps, you need to change phone ID in registry to supported ID for upgrade

The windows insider method works, upgraded yesterday from 8.1 to 10 on a 635.
The steps are simple:
1. Download windows insider from the store
2. Enroll to any ring
3. Search for updates on your phone
It will get you windows 10 mobile 10586.107, from that you can jump to whatever you want.
If you want to get AU (14393.x) just de-enroll windows insider, it will put you on production ring, and you will get AU.
For CU(15063.x) and FCU(15254.x) you will need to edit the device targeting info of your device to trigger the updates.

I need to install WhatsApp on a Lumia 535 running Windows 10 Mobile (version 1511), but I can't find WhatsApp in the Store.
Is there any way to install it from another way than using the Store? For example with the help of a PC?

Hello! I think the time bomb was introduced only in the latest version of WhatsApp (June 2019 update). It also introduced the annoying notifications. The previous version still should work. Does anyone know where to get the older version? Only if I did not update in June...
