so, when replying to a text with the standard messaging app, when you hit the text box to bring the keyboard up, it opens then immediately goes away without an error message of any sort. I can compose a new message and the keyboard stays there and operates normally, which just makes it weirder. Anyone else have this issue? Ive wiped the messaging app cache and changed keyboards from the google keyboard and back again to no avail.
nvm, contacted Oneplus Chat and they advised to wipe cache and data in recovery. That felt a bit extreme, so i wiped cache only and its fine now. Just really odd that it did that in the first place

I am Running Synergy RLS1 (non godmode) and I noticed that the notification light isnt working when I get a text message. It does work when I get an email, google talk message etc.. anyway to fix without reflashing the phone.
Mine was not doing that either. I was and still also having trouble with Speech to text too. I did a wipe of Cache and Dalvik in Amon RA, and it fixed the light problem, but speech to text is still a constant problem. Sometimes it works and sometimes it does not.

thanks for the info, however, I completely wiped the phone and reflashed the ROM and even on a fresh install it isnt working
Got it working again, a setting was turned off by default (settings/display/notification flash). wish I would have checked before I wiped... no worries though got the phone back to where it was in no time
Hello,
I have a S2 SGH-T989, and I recently installed the Darkside Evolution ICS Rom. It works beautifully, with a couple of annoyances: the only one that is somewhat intolerable is that the phone and contacts apps are very slow to load.
When I click on the phone on my home screen, it highlights it with a light blue background, but then takes > 5 seconds to pull up the keypad and phone application. Similar behavior happens with the contacts application. Even worse, when I start hitting numbers on the keypad, it doesn't register or display those numbers as I'm dialing them for > 3 seconds. Once it's caught up to my typing, it seems to work fairly well, but this is intolerable, since I can't see what I'm typing, and phone numbers are so short that I usually end up typing the first 3 or 4 numbers, waiting for it to bring up my contact associated with that number, and then selecting one, when the process should take only as much time as it takes me to type the numbers.
I have tried wiping the Dalvik cache, but to no avail. I have not yet tried reinstalling the ROM, as that does tend to be quite a bit of work to set up all of my home screens and such (as well as restoring data from my SD card, etc..), so I'd like to avoid that if possible. However, if it's going to fix this problem, I'll happily do that to avoid the annoyances I'm dealing with at the moment.
I'm wondering if anyone has suggestions on how to fix this issue, or whether others have had this issue and have found something that helps with it.
Thanks!

Try flashing the cache wipe.zip

By the cache wipe.zip, do you mean the super wipe that came with the rom? Or where do I get the wipe.zip from?
Thanks,
I'm trying to figure out what I broke here. I recently setup greenify and went a bit crazy selecting apps/system apps. Needless to say, I stopped receiving text messages. I then cleared out everything, removed greenify, cleared cache through bootloader. Now I receive TEXT messages, but still no multimedia messages have come through (have sent a few from other devices). According to Greenify, recently installed again, it has no apps that are "green", it still loads and gives me the "1,2,3" window indicating I've selected nothing.
What did I break? How do I unbreak it?
Who is your carrier? Temporarily uninstall greenify then clear cache and dalvik cache. Reboot and test. If that doent bring em back go to the phone dialer and pur in ##72786#. It will reboot and reset your data connection. Let it finish and test again. Try those in order written and come back and post results.

Carrier: Sprint
Your first solution - been down that block, that solved no texts being received, but still not getting multimedia.
##72786# brought up a black screen that says "SCRTN" at the top (toolbar still visible). There are no options, back-key doesn't work, home key took me back to the desktop.
FWIW - everything else seems normal on the phone.
Yes thats whst it does. Give it a minute at that screen for 2-5 minutes and the phone will reboot. Try it again. Also make sure you uninstall greenify temporarily during this process.
Also did you wipe cache and dalvik cache?

Update your Profile
Order of operations (following last jbnorton post):
1) Greenify - Forced Close, Clear Data, Uninstall
2) Boot to recovery
3) Clear Dalvik, Wipe cache partition
4) Reboot, I get the "Optimizing app..." then a Hot Boot
5) Get past my lock screen, and "Hands Free Activation" popped up (this is new), it completed, then rebooted my phone
6) Get past my lock screen, and "Hands Free Activation" popped up again, checking firmware, nothing new, back to OS
7) Open dialpad: ##72786#, get black SCRTN screen for 2 seconds then automatic reboot
8) See #5...again
9) See #6...again
10) Sending text and MMS, success
11) Receiving text and MMS, success!!!!!!
My next step is to install greenify again and perhaps pay a bit more attention to what I activate. Thank you for your help!
Good deal. Happy to help bud. Anymore questions feel free to ask. BE CAREFULL WITH GREENIFY FROM NOW ON
I am getting this error message essentially making the phone useless. I got notification I had an update on Friday. It auto updated, I installed it, it rebooted, and this message continuously pops up and I cant use anything. Factory reset did nothing, and the only semi work around is I was able to get Nova Launcher on there. It semi works but the message comes up every time I lock and unlock the phone.
Nobody seems to know the answer to what the hell this is or what happened but I need someone who is smarter than I to help me fix it please. Any advice is very much appreciated. Phone is unrooted.
Thanks in advance.
Go to setting, General, Apps, All Apps, and fine "Home". Clear cache and reboot.

tried that, it didn't seem to work. Is there something I'm missing? Do certain apps cause this?
Having the same issue right after updating to 6.0; clearing cache didn't work for me either. I suppose I'll try a different launcher in the meanwhile.
"Unfortunately, Home has stopped
I am now rooted using the video instructions from ROOT JUNKY, but I am getting this error message "Unfortunately, Home has stopped" I went to the Apps setting and resets app preference and also clear the home cache but to no effect. i am able to get the simple home setting but not the other advance home setting. please help if you can. Thanks inadvance
LG G4 H815
Problem solved for Lg G4. Go to Settings, General, Apps swipe left to "All" then scroll down to "HOME" not easy home. Open it and clear cache and also "clear data" you will get a warning message when you try to clear data, but that's ok. I was afraid to do this but it works for me, It will only clear and Home screen preference or shortcut you had. You can setup your preferred shortcuts after again. restart and select "Home" as your default. Let me know if this helps
Think not.. Still home crashes
Nope, that's not a fix. All it did was wreck my app placements and settings.. Nothing else. Immediately after clearing the cache and data it crashed exactly the same way.
Home has stopped is becoming increasingly annoying, and also increasing in frequency. I'm going to try Uninstalling the app update that started it all: Voice Mate 4.70.10.
I'll see if this works. If so I'll post here. If not, consider this an open thread and hopefully someone in the G4 community with some skills and knowledge will find a solution.
Anyone found a solution to this problem?

If you have an LG G4 you may have seen this message and waited for the home screen to re-start again, only to happen again and again, I’ve searched all the forums to no avail, so I installed another home screen to got rid of the problem, now have a permanent fix, you have to disable Smart Bulletins:
Go to apps, hit menu, select home screen settings, turn off Smart Bulletins.
Hello there,
I am posting this thread with a problem. Roughly a year ago I purchased the HTC M9 (after 2 very satisfied years using the M7). Up untill about a week ago everything was working fine for me, the only small issue I've had so far is the lack of memory space. Although this issue was easily solved by simply upgrading my device using a Sandisk SD card.
However, since a couple of days my device started overheating very quickly and lagging. Again, I tried to fix this by rebooting the phone and using CCleaner to clean up some of the junk on the device. Now here comes the actual problem: this morning I was simply using the Youtube app to watch a video when my device suddenly crashed (with 50% battery life). I plugged my phone into a charger and booted up the device again but I get a an error report saying "Sense Home stopped working", which means I'm currently unable to use my device. For some reason the HTC report function is bugged aswell, as I cannot seem to send an error report to HTC.
Can anybody tell me what is going on here and how I could solve this problem? I'm very dependent on my phone because of university and work and would like to fix this as soon as possible and preferably not with a hard reset.
Thanks in advance.
Okay I went ahead and tried out something myself based on the following on a thread on androidcentral com titled ""Unfortunately, HTC Sense has stopped" loop" (I'm not allowed to post links yet)
So I went to Apps and cleared the cache of the Sense Home app (without being in safe mode). My phone started working again, but I lost alot of information as apps like Whatsapp and Google Chrome are completely reset and I lost my contacts. Is there any way I can fix this process?
I cleared my cache but my device is still keeping me in that damned Loop. I don't want to lose my pictures or videos. What else can I do? I have an HTC One M9.

"Boot the phone as per normal, ignore the "Sense Home has stopped" message for now.
Pull down the notification drawer,
Tap on the cog to get into settings (once in settings clicking ok on the "Sense home has stopped" message should make it dissapear so you can see what you are doing),
Go into Apps,
Go into Sense Home,
Tap on storage,
Tap on "Clear Data".
This will delete all the data stored with the Sense Home app, not your photos or messages of contacts or anything like that.
You will have to re-configure your home screen(s) though :-/
Once you've done that you should be good to go.....You may need to reboot."
I have the same problem which started at the same time.
Tried everything, clearing Sense cache, system cache from recovery, installed custom recovery and Revolution HD rom its all the same... Everytime after few minutes or hours same problem occurs! Loop Sense crashing, rebooting, wifi turning on and off by itself...
Please someone help
Hi guys, I had the same problem just two weeks ago. Tried cache clearing, factory reset, yada yada yada. Despite all the error report pop ups I managed to use Google app to get to play store, and updated sense home from there. That did the trick. I lost all my contacts and apps but still the phone works again.

Thanks, great solution, apps and everything still there - I was so worried. For me this problem was a show stopper, do I even consider getting another HTC phone?? Why can't HTC modify Home Sense to disable the alert, once initiated, when the battery is fully charged, then this very annoying, irritating and phone disabling problem would just go away?
