My SW3 appears to have died this morning. I unplugged it from the charger, put it on my wrist and pressed the power button to turn it on. I felt it vibrate to say it was on, but then later noticed that the screen was blank. I tried holding the power button to force a reset but nothing happened.
Before I send it off to Sony, does anyone know if there is a reset button anywhere or anything else I should try to get it to turn on?

It once happened to me.
According to this site, to reset our SW3's we need to hold our power keys until the watch vibrates one time and restarts itself. But it didn't help me so there's another thing - to force the shutdown. Press power button until it vibrates three times, then turn it back on.
In my case, the watch started working as it should and such thing never occurred again.

Thanks, I'd tried holding the power button but it wasn't doing anything. It actually turned back on last night, complained that the battery was flat and turned itself off again. Plugged it back in to charge and it's working again this morning. Although my Pujie Black watch face isn't updating as it should and I'm not getting notifications like I should either.
Think I'll give it a factory reset just to be safe.
Aaaaand won't turn on again this morning. Been holding the power button for ages, does nothing, won't connect to Xperia Companion for a reset neither.

Hello there, I was installing Recovery using this, http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1746682, I only went up to the first part of unrooting the phone where it asks me to connect my and install te recovery, my phone after the root did not want to turn on. I tried using the Volume +/- along with the home key, nothing, it just vibrates and nothing. I tried pulling out the battery and the same thing happened, no matter what I did, it vibrates and won't turn on. Also when I hook it up to the charger and try turning on it vibrates and it keeps vibrating in loops, around 2-3 sec apart. What is wrong with my phone? Please don't tell me it's a brick, I just got it yesterday ;p

I think this kit is honestly the easiest way to brick your phone. There are simply too many options, most of them have no real use for this phone, and the free version never gets updated. Honestly think it's a bad move for people who are new to the game.
To get in download mode:
Start with the phone off.
Press and hold the home button and volume down button.
Press the power button until the phone vibrates.
Release the power button.
To get in recovery mode.
Start with the phone off.
Press and hold the home button and volume up button.
Press the power button until the phone vibrates.
Release the power button.
Release the volume up and home button when the blue text appears in the top left corner of the screen.
If these won't work, you are bricked. Time for JTAG.
I agree 100%. That kit seemed pretty helpful for some when this was still pretty new, but recently it seems there are more reports of failures (or worse) than successes. When you get this fixed I suggest reading all the stickies and then take it from there.
Good luck

Dears, help me please!
I have my nexus 7 for 3 months. It was working pretty fine before... BUT... last thursday I left it charging overnight, I woke up turned the tablet alarme off and put it on a backpack to travel.
When I tried to turn it on the screen just did nothing!! The strange thing is: when I got mail it notifies me... the pulse light is active but the screen doesn't show.
I tried to charge it, hold the power button, hold the power + volume down buttons and nothing solved.
Anyone has/had the same problem?
I have the same problem. It happened a couple times already but I could not figure out why it happens. When I push the power button long enough it just restarts. It happens only when its laying around a couple hours like over night.
The tablet returned from the repair.
It seems like they changed the mainboard. Sadly there was something behind the camera glas and there were scratches on the screen. So they had to send it in again. Then they also changed the screen. All this took about 3 weeks.
I suggest claim for repair its definitely a hardware issue. Now my Nexus is running flawless and I am waiting for the Lollipop update.
You could also just try holding volume down + power for about 30 seconds. I've had a couple of freezes before where holding down the power button did nothing. But, holding down power + volume down worked. This is assuming you weren't flashing or doing something else, this is only if you were using the tablet as normal and it just suddenly won't turn on.
I had my phone sitting on my desk, pressed the power button to check the time, and set it on the desk again. Suddenly, I felt it start vibrating over and over and over, and when I pick it up to check what's going on, I see it's stuck on a restart loop. The phone turns on, the "HTC Quietly Brilliant" logo appears for about two seconds, and it turns off, again and again. The same thing happens with the phone connected to a charger, and if I press power+vol down when it's turning on, I get to the bootloader screen, and it shuts down again (can't scroll through the options using the vol keys). The phone is running on the stock ROM, and I did the OTA update like three months ago. Any thoughts on what's going on would be greatly appreciated.

your power button is stuck in press position try press it to release it
The button seems to be fine. It doesn't feel stuck, and has a normal clicky sound. I tapped on it, and wiggled it a bit, and the same thing keeps happening.

yes the button it self is ok but the back side is stuck try hit the phone near to power button with the hand to release it
Either the button is stuck or your power flex cable has malfunctioned. Power Flex Cable can be replaced and should solve this problem - see the below thread I made some time ago regarding this:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2638916
My issue was water damage but would cover any damage to the power flex cable.
I was starting to download some digital magazines I'd checked out from the library using the Zinio app. When I started, the screen flashed for a second and then the screen went black and the animated Samsung logo popped up like the tablet was powering down, or like you see when powering up. The only problem is that it's been that way for about a half hour now. It's not doing anything that I can see. I've tried to power down and it won't shut off. I've closed the magnetic cover, and it won't go to sleep. I've tried the volume up/power button reset, and that does nothing. I guess it's just going to stay like this until the battery dies completely. Has anyone ever seen behavior like this? Any ideas?
Thanks for any advice or opinions.

Try holding Power+Vol Down+Home at the same time. It should reset to the bootloader screen. Then you can press Vol down to reset the tablet.
Thank you for the suggestion. I'm back in business!
It did not reset to the bootloader. It just went dark and reset completely. No options or anything that I could see. Or maybe that's what you meant by the bootloader screen. Anyway, I didn't have to press any other buttons after holding down the Power+Vol Down+Home buttons for about ten seconds. It completely shutdown/rebooted and, once it came back up, everything seems to be fine.
Thanks again for the suggestion.
This is a strange one.
HTC 10 2PS6500, Android 8. Has been working fine. Today I took the phone out of the pocket, to find that it's been turned off. Strange, I know the battery was almost full, so it's not a power down due to low battery.
Tried to turn it on with the power button, didn't work.
Held the power and volume up + down at the same time, a few seconds later the phone vibrated and powered up. Battery at 92%. No sign of what might have happened. Phone was working. I wondered what happened but soon forgot about it.
A few hours later, I charged the phone back to 100%. While using it, the screen timed out, when I pressed the power button again, a message popped up saying "HTC recovered from an abnormal reset, send it to HTC" or something like that, and it tells me to tap it twice to send. I tapped it twice, the screen came up. I have the option of Send to HTC or Cancel. I pressed Cancel. The screen froze after that.
Buttons are unresponsive. I pressed the power and volume buttons to reset it, it went black.
Since then I have not been able to get it to respond.
Power button alone - nothing. Tried even holding in excess of 1 minute.
Power + Volume Down - nothing. Held for 10 seconds, 20 seconds, over 1 minute.
Powr + Volume Up + Volume Down - nothing. Held for different durations of time, no difference.
Connected it to a charger, no response, the light up top where it lits when charging does not light up.
It's completely unresponsive. No boot screen, no vibration, nothing at all.
Any idea what else I can try?
well some new development...
I was trying to do the hard reset on the phone periodically. Sometimes with the charger plugged in (but no light on top indicating it's taking any charge). A day later, I was doing another hard reset (not expecting it to respond) but it vibrates and boots up. Since then it has been behaving normally. Strange that battery was at 21%, when it was at 80% when the screen froze. I charged it to 100% then backed up the data while I had it on.
I got about a day of usage out of it, then while I was on a browser scrolling down on a web page, the screen froze again. Battery at 75%. After trying to reset it, the screen went black. Since then, no response on attempts to hard reset.
I have a feeling if I leave it alone for a day and try it it will come back alive.
Doing a search on the net yield nothing except I did see a post someone made saying after the screen froze had to wait till the battery drains 100%, then charge it back up and it will boot again. Is this what is happening? If it's bricked how is it consuming battery?
Anyone has any idea sure would like to hear it.
