I have a OnePlus 3. Unlocked bootloader, rooted(2.78), xposed and boeffla kernel(beta 4)
havent been able to switch on the dark theme. when I go to settings and click on the toggle, it shows a popup with "Change system theme", but nothing happens when I click ok.
Any suggestions?
You must update official oneplus build or try freedom os. This room is based on official oneplus rom, so has same features plus vipersound adway xposed

I have installed latest CleanROM 4.5 successfully.
However long pressing the back button doesn't open the Multi Window Display.
I have previously installed the WanamLite ROM successfully and the same problem occurs.
I should also say that a few weeks back I installed the Omega ROM which did mess up my phone eg. no phone reception from my provider.
Also I get the message: `factory test has stopped working`
Any ideas on how this can be fixed.
Thanks in advance.

Yes it is on.
Sorry, I should have mentioned that.
Did you do a factory reset/data wipe when installing?

Yes, did that also.
Omega rom has simplistic framework doesn't it ?
And you must have got a control app for it.
Check it's settings.
There was an option related to this.

Whenever I reboot my device after the samsung logo animation my screen always displays" ANDROID IS UPGRADING-starting apps "!
which is quite a bit irritating.Pls someone help.I dont want that thing.
If you're on CM based rom then you see this message after boot & its normal thing.
when you add some mods / clear catch / did something with your CWM / any recovery then this message popup after boot,
this means its rechecking all updated apps & preparing your device for use.

The tweaks that you might have flashed through recovery might be causing this.
Some tweak scripts zipalign on every boot and others edit and apply values into your system on each boot. This would make your phone say "Android is upgrading" on each boot
I think you needa delete dalvik cache

i found out that a setting in Link2SD can reproduce that problem, it's Relink dex files at boot. If it is checked it will show android is upgrading every boot but if unchecked it does not show. i hope this helps
clr cache n dalvic cache
i could work

I was scouring xda for a fix to my problem for days.... I had recently deodexed my stock ROM on Sony Xperia T2 Ultra, and my link2sd had that checked ... so I had that frustrating problem. Thanks a ton

Stock Rom
Apex Launcher
When I switch from dalvik to art in settings and after the reboot, I'm still in Davik. There's no compiling of apps after reboot either. Is there something I'm missing?

Do you have the Xposed framework installed? If you do, and try to turn on ART, it switches it back to prevent a bootloop.

Dalvik now is just as fast. I installed these new mods on my N7 and N5, and see a big increase in speed.

Alright, I uninstalled Xposed; wiped dalvik and cache; rebooted; selected art; rebooted…and still on dalvik.
I don't know why it won't switch to art. I do have the franco kernal installed.
Any suggestions?

Reflash Rom, enable Art.
I have a been a android user for a while, I have recently found out about ART.
So I went into the the developer settings and changed it from dalvik to ART.
It reboots but it doesn't update the apps.I check if its booted into ART but it says it is still in dalvik.
Please help I'm rooted and have the stock ROM.

Are you using xposed? Cause xposed doesn't work with art so it automatically reverts to dalvik

This is exactly what happened to me when I was using xposed and tried to enable ART. It will reboot and every time it will revert back to dalvik.

Yep I have been using xposed. Is ART worth getting rid of my xposed modules and the installer?
IMHO, no. I've got my UI tweaked just the way I like it with Xposed modules; any minor improvement in speed would not be worth the sacrifice for me. YMMV
You can try installing from settings or download this image and move onto device

I just noticed the same thing.. went to clear cache and nothing..
Not installing this until I see a few successful attempts, or just stay patient and wait until it comes up on my updates.. lol.
Edit: got super impatient.. installed from SD through stock recovery and everything seems to be working. Didn't format anything, yet. Just wanted to make sure it worked.

The only option is to install a custom recovery to obtain custom options. I've tried mounting the system part to see if any more options came up and nothing. I believe the ROMs are baked to clear caches before and after flashing. With how long it takes to boot after flashing, it's definitely repaging something..

Yes. Old phone.
"Some time ago, in the days before Nougat,*Android used a system cache*to store system update files. Android has since moved away from that, preferring*a different method*for installing updates.
Many modern phones don’t even have a system cache now"

So, is this method (installing that .zip via Recovery) working in order to unlock the bootloader?
