Hi community,
Since there was a ... car accident, my xperia arc s phone was damaged badly, firstly the whole display got was broken ive found a display and fixed it, but then i realized that there were two other problems with the phone one was broken lens of the camera and the loudspeaker problem which buzzes at higher volume rates
I tried to tell the camera experts but theyve told that the phone camera lens can't or though they cant replace the lens itself, and loudspeaker i didnt try to get it fixed yet
So i dont know what to do now ((
Ur speaker wont be that much of an issue. U can get it repaired but finding a new camera lens? Thats gonna be a problem. U can ask Sony abt it but they will charge a lot for it.

yeah I hope there will be spare part for camera lens might impossible to find though
I've been loving this phone and camera, took some awesome pictures two weeks ago in Colorado. Just flew in to Seattle, haven't used the camera since i was in Colorado and I've now realized it will not focus. The front facing camera focuses fine but fear facing die doesn't focus at all in auto or manual mode. I tried resetting my phone and even did a factory reset to no avail. Why would it just suddenly stop working? I've had it since release day, it's the Sprint version.
Does it ever make a buzzing sound for a split second like it is trying to focus?
If you shake the phone, do you hear something like a piece broke off?
My phone is with LG to repair this same issue. Those were a few things I experienced.
Hi everybody,
I have a LG G4 LG H812 and I change the screen on it (LCD/FRAME/DIGITIZER).
But after it everything work fine except the rear camera so I supposed that I broke the cable or the camera module and I buy a new one on Ebay for 30$.
Today I recieved it and install it, easy and fast but the new module doesn't work too...
I tried many apps and none of them show me the option to use the rear camera.
Front camera work perfectly...
What do you think? Motherboard problem, 2 camera module dead, or software problem?
Thank you! (yes I search the forum for solution but none of them work)
I have the same exact problem as well; I have replaced the digitizer, resulting in a nonfunctional rear camera (flash doesnt work too). When I load my camera app it only loads the front facing one.
I've replaced the camera with a new one but it results in the same problem. The new camera didnt come with the presumed conductive adhesive tape as the original so maybe thats a factor? My original adhesive foil ripped so maybe a circuit is not being closed somewhere?
my LG G4 works with front cam but not rare. Other apps also don't detect camera at all.
Any luck?

Have you tried a hard reset but back every thing up before you do this so you don't lose stuff.......
I'm still using the phone but only the front camera as work since. I've try everything, factory reset, 1 other new camera, put back the old camera nothing work!
Motherboard problem probably, never had problem to change screen before.
Anyway gonna change my phone soon and will look for reviews on the forum!!!
Thx!
Hello everyone, i have searched everywhere and i couldnt find anything for LG G4 with this problem, there are shuck problems with different models.
Days ago i replaced my LG G4 screen with a new one and the camera had the focusing problem at first. after i reseated the flex cable of it everything was ok forone hour.
After a restart of the phone the rear camera option has desappeared, only front camera is working now.
I have read people had the same problem with LG G3, Nexus and even other brands as Alcatel Motorola and so on.
Does anyone had the same problem, and if can confirm that is software or hardware problem.
My OnePlus 3 rear camera is not working. When I open camera app it shows only black screen and all the buttons, but none of them is actually working, you can only see button's animation and hear a sound of clicking, but you can't take a photo or reverse the camera. However, if I use apps like messenger or snapchat, then the camera is still black, but you can reverse it and use front camera. I put OP3T camera in my OP3, and my OP3 camera in my OP3T. OP3's camera in OP3T works very well, but OP3T's camera in OP3 is not working, so the problem should be in software? Or maybe hardware but not the camera itself? Should I try to reinstall OS, may it help to solve the problem? This is what I see in my camera app: https: //prnt.sc/jzh3c0 (I put space in the link after ( : ), because i'm new here and I can't post outside links :/ )
well, it seems like you arleady know where the problem is.
put back the op3 camera in op3 xD

No, maybe you didn't understood me correctly. OP3 camera in OP3 phone haven't worked normally, I thought maybe the problem is broken camera and since OP3 and OP3T camera is the same, I took other camera from OP3T ant put it in OP3. But then the camera that before was in OP3, worked perfectly in OP3T, so I know, that camera is good, and camera that before was working perfectly in OP3T won't work in OP3. Now the question is if it is software problem or hardware(like maybe something in motherboard could be broken or overheated?)
@daggorlad thanks, but I know how to replace camera and I already did, but it haven't solved my problem.
i see.
regardless, even if specifications are the same perhaps it isnt the same camera.
only replace op3 part for op3 part, would be a good thing to do.
Just try again with new camera part, should be less than $10 usd investment.
Or if you don't want to do that maybe do a facotry reset and see if the problem is software..

Yeah, sounds like probably a board problem then. It would be worth doing a NAND backup and testing a factory reset as stated above. Worst case, it doesn't work and you revert back to the backup.

I ordered new camera before I had OP3T, so I should get it in a week or two. I already did factory reset, the problem still exists, so probably going to sell this phone, maybe someone will need this.
