Hide 2nd Non-Data Signal in Status Bar? - OnePlus 3 Questions & Answers

Running 3.2.4 OOS, Rooted, XPosed Framework, Gravity Box.
I recently added a second SIM, and of course, I only need to track the data signal / LTE status for the one SIM that is running data.
Does anyone know of a tweak, setting, or XPosed module that will hide the 3G signal of the other SIM? I am receiving calls on it, but I don't really need to see the signal and it's cluttering up my status bar.

There is an Xposed module called Flat style bar indicators which allows you to do that as well as choose from a range of custom icons. I'm using that and I absolutely love it.

Ah, I've used that before on a different phone. I had issues with battery drain but I can give it another try on the OP3. Thanks!

I don't see a setting to block one of the sims. The data setting takes both together. The only dual setting is the offset between the two icons.

[Q] Provider name on notification bar

Is there any way I can get the notification bar to display the network service provider?
The area I work in has difficult coverage, but T-Mobile switch over to Orange if there is no signal.
I would like to know when I'm on Orange without having to dial out.
Cheers
Paul
App or a mod for that. Why would you want to know. It tells you in the lockscreen anyway.
I've normally got it on the dashboard, for sat nav use.
Knowing which provider I'm with at that precise moment would save wasted time & data - better to move to somewhere with my home provider signal, rather than try a connection that isn't up to it.
switch to a custom rooted ROM

No Wi-Fi icon showing on the notifications bar

Hi guys, I am connected to Wi-Fi with a strong connection however the usual wi-fi icon is not showing up.
I have rooted my phone, installed busybox, xposed and xprivacy.
Could any of these apps be conflicting with it?
The icon for the mobile data works so there is no problem with the notifications bar.
I have also been deleting bloatware off my phone. Just stuff like Samsung apps, wallet and optus zoo.
Could this have gotten rid of the WiFi icon in the notifications bar? Would really like to get it back.
Thank you.

[Q] What app/module can hide the signal strength icon on the notification bar?

Zenfone 2 - ZE551ML 2.3/32gb - rooted.
I want to hide the signal icon of both sim1 and sim2 but could not find any solution on google.
I installed a xposed module called SB Icon Hider and it did work :fingers-crossed: . But it also hided the wifi signal and LTE/H+/3G/2G signals as well. :crying:
I just want to hide sim1 and sim2 signal icons, nothing more, not the wifi and cellular icons.
Any app/xposedmodule can do that?

Any good App or ROM capable of displaying signal strength in dBm on status bar?

Honestly, when I was still on some older phones I loved the feature that could display signal strength dBm on status bar, which existed since CyanogenMod (CM7, maybe even earlier). It gives me a better understanding about the surrounding signal quality, rather than some unhelpful signal bars.
For example, when I used to be on a 2G network, sometimes a signal as low as -80 dBm would result in a slow or even unusable web experience, despite that it still appears full for signal bars. (From what I remember, things perform good when the signal is at -60s, with -51 being the highest. Those values all appear as a full signal bar, which makes it meaningless)
However, it seems all recent custom ROMs (LOS, RR, AOKP, etc.) ceased providing this feature (while still allowing customizations for battery icons), not to mention useful solutions (both Apps and ROMs) were virtually nonexistent and even after googling I couldn't get any valuable answers (most of those were years ago and not applicable to the recent Android versions nor dual-SIM devices). Maybe the dual-SIM nature of our devices (like Z00A) is what kept us from having such feature as dual-SIM implementations differ among manufacturers and/or among architectures.
There are some apps available on Play Store for such, but I found none that could support dual-SIM universally. They mainly either only display values for the first SIM, or Wi-Fi signal strength, or crash in case of it being incompatible. Back then with another dual-SIM phone using KitKat, I even tried NetStrength Xposed module. Its duostack looked beautiful (showing the dBm of the first SIM and Wi-fi strength below it if available), but it still can only support one SIM card and there were fewer activities than before and no mentions of Nougat support yet (even though unofficial Xposed Framework for Nougat has been released, just it would cause the device to fail Safety Net tests, including the systemless version).
So I really wish for a reliable solution that could bring back the signal dBm display on the status bar, and for both SIM cards at best.
Since there is no data support on sim2, you really only need it for sim1

Maybe yes, but the problem is, ROMs ceased to have built-in support for dBm display even if it's just for the active data SIM. (Even up to Jelly Bean both CM and AOKP have such features)
Technically it's possible to switch the SIM card to be used for LTE (i.e. you can set SIM2 for 4G and SIM1 for 2G if wanted). However, I couldn't find the switch in AOKP settings, but Stock may have this capability. So maybe it's more like you'll need those value for the SIM you're using the data from, rather than just SIM1.
By the way, with CMTE (Theme Chooser) it was always possible to theme the battery icon into showing percentages for ROMs that don't natively support such back then, apparently by creating at least 100 icons, one for for each percent state, plus charging and such. Many good CM themes were capable of this. I dunno if the same can be achieved dBm / ASU wise, though I have found virtually nothing about this part even back then.

Is it possible to change status bar?

You should see your mobile network icon above your wifi network icon, practically on top of each other. When one is being used or unused it is highlighted or shaded out appropriately. At least for me
What exactly do you want? If data is being used, how much data? or what?
I want to make sure when I'm at home or work that I'm on wifi and not using data
Well, there is an indicator just for this, beside the signal bars, if cellular data is being used, 2 arrows will appear, and the type of connection present, 2g, 3g, 4g or lte, so, what else do you need?
Cool tool (https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=ds.cpuoverlay) will allow you to actually see the quantity and or rate of data usage. Plus a million other options.

There's also QuickStar (or Quick Panel Star) on the *Samsung Store*.
Well, if the stock indicators are not good enough for you, as san diego says, there are more options via apps, You can try network monitor mini, it is highly customizable, it is a floating indicator, so, it will be always visible, can even auto hide when there is no traffic at all
