- Is any one planning to buy this "Note 7+"?
- Any suggestions where's the best place to order/buy it? What colour options available for it? Also, Dual-SIM support?
- Price difference compared with the default (64GB/4 RAM) Note 7 variant? Will it be worth the extra bucks?
- Will it only be available with Snapdragon-820 or will there also be an Exynos-8890 version too with 128GB/6 RAM?
- Most importantly (for me, especially after my N9200 experience) - will this version have much in terms of Developer support/ custom ROMs?
At the moment, the N9300 for HongKong and the chinese market is not available.
If the first informations are correct, it will be a DUOS system with Snapdragon processor.
Let's wait and see, as soon as it is officially announced ...
Word was today right? Seems late in China for an event right now
It is on the Chinese homepage, but it looks more like a 4GB System for the moment ...
Any chinese people here who can find out?
More Infos here in chinese ...
or on the HongKong homepage
I'm also waiting for this variant. If I do get a note 7 the chinese variant is the only one I will get because of the band support + snapdragon + ram/memory upgrade is nice too.
I speak Chinese and the one on Samsung's page is 4gb/64gb
---------- Post added at 07:38 AM ---------- Previous post was at 07:37 AM ----------
I've been waiting because I'd like to snag the 256gb card and sell it on eBay lol. Only two more days
I think Note 7 128gb/6 RAM launches today in China according to some websites - Can anyone confirm this please?

The phone will be available from 2nd September. Pre-orders began today.
Be careful you could end up with a phone where the band's only support China carriers.
Sent from my SM-N930V using XDA Free mobile app
Any updates for this one?
Has this version got a release date yet? In China, anyone?
Up ?
this wont happen, no 6GB no 128 GB storage, no special treatment for china,

Hi everyone,
I know the Xiaomi Mi Max is officially sold in China and India.
Apparently the version from China is compatible with several LTE Bands worldwide.
My doubt is: As of now, is there any hardware difference for this device sold in China / India / (wherever else it may being sold officially)?
Also, is there any differenze in size between Mi Max (32/64GB rom, 3GB ram) and Mi Max Prime (128GB, 4GB ram)?
I am trying to understand this in order to order an appropriate cover
Thanks in advance

there is no difference with respect to hardware btw the chinese & indian manufactured mi max.they have the same hardware save for a few minor differences in make of camera, touch panel, screens, camera sensors etc.although they are frm diff manufacturers, they are specced the same.the diff comes in form of preloaded os.again though both are the same, chinese ones will be preloaded with chinese stable firmware and indian units(which i personally own) have global stable firmware.the major diff in terms of software would be chinese localized app and absense of google apps in chinese stable, while in global stable comes with google apps preloaded.that where the differences end.the overall physical dimensions remain the same.you can cross install firmware if u wish
now coming to the diff btw the 3/32 vs 4/128 there is slight diff in soc.the 3/32 called "hydrogen" has hexacore(2x1.8ghz a72+4x1.4ghz a53) snapdragon 650 while the 4/128 called "helium" has octacore(4x1.8ghz a72+4x1.4ghz a53) snapdragon 652soc.the gpu is the same in both versions.again there will be no diff in the physical dimensions btw the 2 models

Thanks for your answer.
Is it correct to say I can install the Global rom on a device coming from China, and get the very same result (besides minor hw differences) as buying it in India (for example)?
Also, since I understand you have the global edition , could you say if it supports full disk encryption on MIUI 8 (from settings > privacy or something like that), in a way that without unlock code the phone doesn't start at all?
(as reference, there is also this - unanswered - question about this topic :http://c.mi.com/in/thread-4401-1-1.html)
Thank you
yes, you can. but you must look for the right on coz always 2 global roms comes.
One for the Mi max with 16 and 32 gb (hydrogen) or the rom for the 32 and 128 gb mi max (helium).
greets
Peter
PS: Best rom ever, no more need RR
LED-Control, auto Callrecord, dt2wake, fast, super battery, so stable!

for the 1part of the question answer is yes
for the 2nd part of the question,as far as i know, since the data partition is encrypted, after the device boots up,u'll be presented with the password (login) screen, and unless u enter the the password u wont see the homescreen, and no one will be able to access ur data.the only way to use the device is to format the data partition with custom recovery and install new new rom at which point all ur data would be permanent ly erased.
Hello everyone,
I would be interested in the version with the 20mp camera and 6gb of ram.
Unfortunately I noticed that this version is not sold with the banada 20 (800) and is only in the CN version.
Do you expect me to wait? do you think will release the version that I would like to take?
Or I take the CN version trying to put the International / Global ROM and to unlock the band 20 (800)?
What do you recommend?
Thank you
Using a global rom does not "unlock" B20. Global version and global rom is not the same thing. Unfortunately people keep getting confused about that. (Well I mean it is confusing to a general user.)
Chinese version (of the device) comes with the bands they use, the hardware it has does not support B20. You have to wait until Xiaomi release the global version of the device, then you'll have the B20 you need.
As far as I know global version of the rom is only global because it contains all the languages, not just chinese (correct me if I am wrong).
There are some good news
https://mobile.twitter.com/rquandt/status/973921734268276736?ref_
Good news is relative...
Very expensive compared to the price in other markets and no 6/64GB version. With this price, no need for redmi note 5 pro, pay a little bit more and you get xiaomi mi note 3 and others... (with 6/64GB and even 6/128GB, hope there will be a band 20 version soon)

The chance that mi note 3 gets band 20 is near zero. Mi note 3 is also missing 3.5mm jack and there is nearly no development.
For 270€ the note 5 pro would be perfect for me, every other phone has some deal breakers like no development, small battery or something else
Hello everyone, I'm sorry to reopen this discussion but ...... is it possible that they sold this version: "xiaomi redmi note 5 6gb (Cam 12 + 5/13) with band 20 (800)?"
sorry to bring this thread up again but I'm looking for the 6GB/64GB redmi note 5 version myself. (not for me though).
pdadb does list it as band 20 here:
http://phonedb.net/index.php?m=devi...te_64gb_meg7s__xiaomi_whyred&d=detailed_specs
but all sites who sell them don't list enough specifications if its truly the global version.
so this is all really confusing. I don't want to end up ordering a 6GB version without Band 20.
can anyone find any indication that the following sites has the correct version?
https://www.geekbuying.com/item/Xia...nch-6GB-64GB-Smartphone-Rose-Gold-393535.html
(yes needs to be rose gold. it will be a present.)
also does anyone know what image sensor the devices comes with?
I have the same problem.
I would like to take this LINK version but I do not find feedback on the internet.
6gb ram with band 20 (800) ?! does anyone know if this version really exists?
Guys I am not sure but I think the global version with band 20, it comes only with 3/4 GB ram
how to check if the phone really has the hardware and facility to support those mentioned GSM, LTE bands etc?
3GB AND 4GB - Using it myself are called global - they are designed for Europe and they do indeed have bad 20 - unfortunately it seems that there will be no 6gb version that will be for europe - so for now its not an option.
hint: i came from galaxy s8 - yes - and i love the phone so far. in terms of speed absolutely beast and the rom management is way better - 4gb is more then enough - and camera is absolutely beast.... i cant say a bad word about the phone.. seriously for the money its a no brainer.... - only thing i miss is usb c.... but i guess i have to live with that...
so again for now no 6gb..sorry to disapoint...

How is audio over the headphone jack? I previously had an S7 and it was the one disappointment about it for me. Currently have a Redmi Note 4 (mediatek unfortunately) and the audio quality is really decent, much better than the S7. Is it a full metal unibody or are the top and bottom strips on the rear plastic ( for antenna reception)?

To summarize, the Redmi Note 5 beat the Note 3 in all areas (performance, battery life, speed,...).
One advice though: take the Global or Chinese version

The China/Global is better in camera (search for tests on Youtube) and is up to date officially with MIUI 9.5 (android 8.1), unlike Indian version which is officially under android 7 yet (but you can found a leaked 8.1 version )...

Every areas get better than the 3
I feel that only camera is better.. however it really depends because obviously a 4gb ram has a higher chance to improve ur user experience depending on ur mobile usage. I got a 3gb/ 32ram which is much cheaper
i just pulled the trigger and got the 4gb 64gb variant
No need to upgrade wait for any great update
I also have a rn3 didn't find that much difference
too late i just purchased it, gonna keep it for android P gesture
is the 3gb/32gb worth ? got an RM4 (Global) an is awesome, but looking to upgrade to a phone with better camera. here in spain the only two models available are 3gb of ram or 4gb ram. since i have an RM4 with 3gb i don't know if the 3gb RAM is a good choice.

ah good for me, i have the global ;D
Well if you can get the bigger ram / storage version hell yes.
I've gone from the note 3 se 3/32 to the note 5 pro 4/64.
Much smoother, battery life after first couple of days comparable, expect the camera to be better but not stellar.
Up to date official os, better screen. Sure there is more good reasons to.

Hey friends,
I pre-ordered my Mate 20 X today. I'm really excited for it. I am importing it in Canada.
I'm also interested in purchasing an M-Pen, is anyone else doing the same? Any idea where to buy it? Will any version of the M-Pen work with the phone?
Thanks

Hey, yeah I wanted to support a Canadian company so I went through PDA Plaza. Didn't really care about the price.
I really struggled to pick which version of the Mate 20 X, because a few years ago I imported a spec'd out Chinese Mate 9 6 GB 128 GB. Turns out two years later with heavy use, I've only used up about 25% of 128 GB. Everything I do is in the cloud or gets backed up by the cloud, so I don't need the storage. The extra ram would be nice but I don't really trust Huawei's ram management to justify the extra cost. My Mate 9 still does everything I need with 6 GB.
So that being said, I decided to go with the entry level Mate 20 X with 6 GB and 128 GB, Phantom Silver, Chinese model.
Dude, if your waiting around for the Global Model, I would recommend giving up. Its rumored, so take this with a grain of salt, but I heard that the Mate 20 X is only being released in China. If a Chinese model is a dealbreaker for you, then you might want to consider the Mate 20 Pro, which is launching almost everywhere except maybe the US.
I found this. They also have a lot of other accessories too.

New OTA firmware update for the Note + 5G, brings a number of improvements plus September security patch.
Showing up on my handset as well - downloading now and will report back once installed!

...can't say I've noticed anything significant...
Nice to see any updates however small, but this one tackles a few area's....., nice & early in the month to which is great to see :good:
This is good news, I was getting slightly anxious about the update frequency for this 5G model here in Europe, since not as ubiquitous here as compared to S.Korea, feared we'd become the neglected siblings.
Now looking forward to the Android 10 beta, and hoping we'll get an invite to the party. Not so much for Android 10 per se, more for One Ui 2.0, since I don't see much difference from One UI 1.0 and the 1.5 version that we have.
