Hi guys I rooted my desire using the live cd method, powered up my phone before installing a2sd and I could see all of my download history on the market with access to all apps. After this I booted into recovery using step2 on the live cd and installed A2SD. When I turned the phone on again all of the download history was gone and I can't see apps like Google Earth, National Rail etc.
I thought I did something wrong so I wiped the device and installed the rooted rom update again with a2sd at the same time. The problem still exists and nothing has changed.
Could you please help me because this is very annoying and I cant set up my phone the I want until this is resolved.
Very strange... Use Market enabler > http://market-enabler.googlecode.com/files/MarketEnabler_latest.html
install, apply new settings and reboot, problem solved
Thanks for the suggestion but the market enabler doesn't solve it, I tried it.
Another strange thing that I found is I have an .apk of CoPilot which I was using before rooting and when I tried installing it now it gives me an error "Application not installed".
I still haven't solved this problem and its really bugging me.
I un-rooted my phone and used a different google account with no luck. I still don't see some applications in the market.
Just to let you know I am in the UK using a generic sim free desire on 3 network. Could you please, please, please help me out. I am running out of options and I thought unrooting would fix it.
Weird issue you are describing. As far as I know it depends on the fingerprint of the build.prop in the ROM (and if Google added it to the white list(?)) or not.
Many people are using the rooted ROM (all the same build.prop) and they can access protected apps just fine. So probably the problem lies elsewhere.
I have a similar problem, before I rooted my device I could see all apps I bought in my g1 days. After I rooted first of all none showed up, after a day or so only a few showed up... rebooted a few more times (only ever flashed once using Windows with apps2sd) now I have a few I had before show up not all just a few and thats how its been since. weird. I had half results :/

Same problem here with one single application.
Had SlideIT paid version installed on stock firmware.
Once i rooted it gave me the message "application not installed" once i tried to install it.
Funny enough the SlideIT lite version is still able to install fine.
Definitely want it to work again, so i hope someone knows how to fix it
I tried a couple of different ROMs today and had this same problem, clicking My Downloads would just show a blank screen, and there was no "Top Paid Apps" tab. I tried unrooting, rerooting, nothing fixed it, until I found this;

Pushing that xml file (note the spelling mistake before you do it) fixed it all back up, no idea what caused it to get all messed up and why it wasn't fixed by wiping and reflashing.

I tried to push the file via adb shell in windows and got permission denied. Am I doing it right or do I need to root the phone again to be able to push that file because I have reverted back to the generic stock rom?
Mine was rooted when I pushed it, try re-rooting it and pushing it again I guess.
I finally got around to re-rooting it and tried your solution with pushing that file but no change to my market
Just to be clear I can see the Top Paid apps tab, but I cant access copy protected apps like Google Earth.
I've go the G2 and its rooted.
Anyway, I was checking to see if I did the root properly and ended up resetting my phone to the factory settings , and I went on applanet to get a few of the apps I lost and I'm trying to download, but wheN I do I get a download error message.
Anybody know what the issue may be?
Are you currently properly flashed to a stable rom?

are you downloading it directly to the phone via the phone browser?
sometimes the browser doesn't play nice with certain file downloads... just manually stick them on your sd and open them with a file manager
I have whatever ROM came with the phone lol.
Yeah, looks like I may have to manually do it until I fix the issue, because this has never happened before so I was trying to understand why now.
you can try a free app called "download crutch", it's no longer on the market but if you use a little google'ing you can probably find it. All download crutch does is enable your browser to download files regardless of format
Hello guys. As you saw in the title, gallery app can't recognize these pictures. Let's say I download one picture on chrome. When I go to file manager app is there. When I go to check to gallery but it isn't there. Anyone knows what's the problem? I am in Android MM v20d by the way.

If you're rooted go into your build.prop, find "ro.lge.adoptable_storage" and change the value from false to true. I'm not 100% sure that is going to fix your problem but it might. Either way it won't hurt anything if it doesn't, and can easily be changed back.
Thanks for replying but that's not my problem☺ @rick09 and everyone else, try to download a picture from chrome. When downloaded go to file manager at download folder. The picture is there. Now, go to gallery app. The picture is not there. Sometimes appears of I reboot the phone but I can't reboot all the time. Hope you understand me now☺

Nope bro reboot is just a temporary solution. The problem will appear again. I find out a little workaround that we can do. Uninstall the updates of Google Chrome and use the factory version that came with a phone. Everything is perfect after that. So it's a Chrome problem. Tried other browsers like CM Browser and Firefox and worked well every time. But that's not a solution because I use chrome as my main browser. We have to send them an email I think to fix this.

My wife is experiencing the same problem on her G4 (not rooted). We tried viewing the image in both a gallery app that she installed and also in Photos, and neither one will pick up the new photo in the Downloads folder until after a reboot.
I am experiencing the same problem.
anyone can pass me the lg g4 stock gallery zip for flash please ?
Chrome has a recent update. HOwever, it's the same I think it's a bug from MM that conflicts with Chrome. I don't have other MM device so not sure.
I hope LG will have an update soon.
Hi,
I'm hoping someone can help me, my partner has an Xperia play running on android 2.3.4
He deleted some apps and now play store is running properly, and nor are a load of other apps. One app he deleted was google talk, which we haven't been able to get back, we have tried reinstalling it through apk files but they won't open on the device it just says error loading file.
The actual error we're getting is:
Error while retrieving information from server. [RPC:S-7:AEC-0I44J]-CLSE-RIATW
I have found a lot of solutions for the first part of the code which hasn't help such as clearing this data and cache and that uninstall reinstall restart, force stop, downloading apk files, rooting the phone and doing this and that. But nothing's working, so it must be mostly a problem with this whatever the second part of the code is CLSE-RIATW which I can't find anything about online. So I'm hoping there's a genius out there who might now what the issue is?
I also keep getting the message google talk authentication failed, please log in, but as I said above he deleted it, and we cannot find it anywhere in the phone.
Thank you
If deleting app data/cache or factory reset doesn't help, the best way is to reflash the firmware.

Thanks could you possibly tell me how I would do that?
PC Compqanion should have Repair function. It will download needed files.
Or You can use Flashtool and ftf firmware: how-to:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2054486
Of course You don't need to flash 4.0.2.A.0.62, which is provided in the tutorial, but for other firmwares You will need to look for ftf files in internet or use XperiFirm to download them.
I think the best one is 4.0.2.A.0.58 Enhanced (v1, v2 or v3 makes no difference, but I prefer v2).
I will not be responsible for any bricked devices.
DO AT YOUR OWN RISK.
1. Firstly you need your device rooted with magisk.
2. Then download(file attached below)and flash 'MIUIGLOBALthemepatch.zip' module in magisk manager.
3. Reboot your device.
4. Your stock theme app will be patched to Chinese version which fortunately has import option by which you can import .mtz themes into your thememanager app.
Enjoy your themes.
Hello there. I've come across your magisk module. I've installed it and the Theme Manager app has changed. Even so, I can't find the way to import a theme. Can you help? Thank you
Never mind, it's working. Removed module and installed again. Thanks! It's brillant!
Sorry to be here asking again for help, but my phone has updated the Theme App by System Apps to global version. I've removed the module with Magisk, re-installed it again. Disabled auto update System Apps.
Don't know if that's the reason, but now, I can't browse any themes: I receive the "Can't connect to the network" message. Any idea how I can fix this?

Having the same problem I think you have to manually browse themes on websites and then import them.
Btw you can try using a VPN and set it to China
Thanks for getting back to me.
Nope, doesn't work. Not even with a VPN and connected to a China server. It's ok, I'll just use the import. What I've noticed is that I can't apply the imported themes once I upgrade to global version. It says it can't download the theme.
What is this message that comes up when installing... Is this author trustworthy? Did I just give this guy full access to my phone by installing this? I'm genuinely scared now. Am I gonna feel the pain soon? @Manjotbenipal

It is a famous quote from Naruto. Not a message threatening you.
Oh, I see
I can't even root my phone because I have a bank account
Edit: I already did
@Manjotbenipal I've screw up. Updated to MIUI 14 and now the module doesn't work anymore. Any chance of checking it out?
Well, tried to solve the mess and I'm halfway there. I've edited your zip file and replaced the ThemeManager.apk inside by the new version 3.9.9.2. The global app is replaced by the chinese one. I can import MTZ files again but when I try to apply them, I receive the following error:
"Can't connect to the network error: downloadRight|100002|824"
Any idea how to solve this?

Use 'modded' china themes app not the original one
