Tw mm 6.0.1 rom porting - OS Porting

Greetings to all the senior devs on xda....
I need some help in porting custom tw rom to my device which is note edge N915F.
I have seen different guides but none of them worked for me.
I have deodexed my stock MM 6.0.1 ROM.
Can anybody tell me how to port any custom tw based rom to my device.
What changes i have to make in the ROM files and which files needs some editing.
Any help will be much appreciated..
Thank you...

I don't there there is a custom ROM for your device. You'd have to develop one yourself. Best off using Xposed framework to make the modifications you want.
Dont change the ROM
Many of the alcatel's are not tested with custom ROMS, i hope 8000d has the better android version. if you really want to change the OS, go for cynagenmod which is tested in many devices.
What is with all of these mediatek device requests? Mediatek doesn't share their source so now good custom roms will come to these phones

[Q] ROM development/Kitchen?

OK I'm getting pretty interested in cooking my own ROMs. I've seen several tutorials/How To's on XDA.
What I wanna know is which one should someone just getting into ROM cooking for the G Pro use?
I personally prefer custom Stock based ROMs over CM. Does that make a difference?
Is it easier to build CM or Stock based?
Any help\ suggestions would be greatly appreciated ..

I'm no dev but I'd say stock ROMs are harder to make. I don't think anyone can just compile a homemade version of LG's ROMs without proprietary software. It's done by lots and lots of smali modifications. As for AOSP, there was a post on the XDA portal about Builduntu which is a stripped down version of Ubuntu with everything you need to make a ROM. All you need are the sources.

No DN3 v5 hasn't got any bootloop. It doesn't require S5 Mods Pack. It has already a lot of from S5. If you want a lot S5 app you should use this topic :
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2690997
or use this pack :
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2704873
I think you flashed DN3 v4's S5 Mod Pack and you get bootloops. Because this pack isn't compatible with DN3 v5.
And I am using Emotion Revolution 6.0
I can say it has very good features but its apks are very outdate. I can't understand ROM Makers why they don't update apks in ROM. For example Xposed's latest version 2.6.1 but in ROM version 2.6, App Setting's latest version is 1.9 but in ROM 1.7.1 etc. I think it is important.
Also there are a lot of extra bloatwares which is not stock app for example Android Music Player. I am using different music players and I don't want this in my ROM but unfortunately they included it.
And I have a bug. I switched on Private Mode in Settings but it doesn't switch off.

yep,you are correct ,i flashed s5 mods v1.5 with DN3 v5 and got bootloops...actually i quite liked some s5 features..so my fault here
regarding the apks being outdated...i think we can make them user apps in titanuim backup application so to update them...or else completely remove from system/apps and install as normal apk..so updating them would be just as easy as normal apps
and how did you turned on private mode...this rom is deknoxed and private mode need knox components to work

Does anybody know of any good roms my note 4 is unlocked with TWRP?
Yes. There's a lot of awesome ROMs. Check out the Development Thread.
I'm currently running the Grace7 Rom by Chevyrhoads. Pretty darn fast and stable. Obviously CyanogenMod is a safe bet as well..
PaulRizz new ROM is good for stock TW feel, Dr Ketans 5.1 is good for an s6 port ROM, Cyanogen for AOSP

"official" Lollipop/Marshmallow on i9195

good morning.
I'd like to know if there's any way to get an official (I mean directly from Google) Lollipop/Marshmallow rom and flash it on an i9195 and, if yes, what's the procedure to do that.
I don't mean custom roms that we can all find even here but just basic ones.
maybe I'm asking something strange/obvious, I bag your pardon but I'm not so expert...
thanx

No. Basically you have the "official" touchwiz rom for your region/carrier/device(developed by Samsung and the carrier) and you have custom roms.
Only Nexus devices have vanilla AOSP roms that are more or less stock android. It is possible to have stock AOSP on this device but it is a LOT of work for a developer to get it to work properly. This is why most roms are based on CM because of the existing development and code base

I keep asking down here because I don't want to overload the forum, even though this new question of mine could be in another post: as I flash a new rom I guess I'm getting a "bulk" android, so does anybody know if there's a "good" (i.e. reliable and working!) tool/app/mod/wth that can bring TouchWiz back on the device?
I feel very comfortable with Samsung's TouchWiz and wouldn't like to lose it...
thanx again

I wish more XDA users would think before they overload or post off-topic in threads.
When you flash a custom rom, you are entirely overwriting the /system partition. This is where the touchwiz rom also needs to reside. To flash a stock touchwiz rom you need a tool called Odin(for windows; Heimdall is similar but works on Linux). You can get Odin from a lot of different places, I found one in here, there are a few versions but this one works well in my experience.
You can search for youtube tutorials or tutorials on XDA for how to use Odin. Search for "stock rom i9195" or "Odin tutorial" or something....
All you need then is the touchwiz rom in .tar.md5 format which you can get from a number of sites including sammobile.com and samsung-updates.com. You will get a .zip file which when unzipped gives you the .tar.md5 file. Be aware that most of these sites require a premium membership for fast downloads. You can still download at slow sppeds but it is really slow. Just choose the latest rom for your region

No, Touchwiz needs Samsung proprietary files etc to work.
Edit; but you may be able to get a similar feel by applying a "touchwiz" theme, but it's not real touchwiz

No, it's either one or the other. When you flash a custom rom it completely wipes the /system partition(either manually or automatically within the installer script). Normally you need to wipe your data as well because of incompatibilities.
So, you don't "put touchwiz on" the custom rom or vice versa. You replace the whole operating system. Hope that makes it clearer
:crying:
what do you think about these things I found on Google Play?
CM13/12.x Galaxy S7
CM13/12.X GalaxyUI Themes
CM12.x/CM13 Galaxy S6
TouchWiz for CM13
TouchWiz Style CM12 Theme
Touchwhiz Apex/Nova Theme
