I don't there there is a custom ROM for your device. You'd have to develop one yourself. Best off using Xposed framework to make the modifications you want.

Dont change the ROM
Many of the alcatel's are not tested with custom ROMS, i hope 8000d has the better android version. if you really want to change the OS, go for cynagenmod which is tested in many devices.

What is with all of these mediatek device requests? Mediatek doesn't share their source so now good custom roms will come to these phones

[Q] What is the difference between room and kernel?

Can somebody help me?

Well first its not room, its ROM
Second
A ROM is android itself, when you install a ROM, you install a new version of android, and replace the old one, a ROM includes all parts of android
The main part is /system
That is what makes android look like android
/data is where all of the user stuff is stored
A new android installation wipes(erases all data) from both of these
A kernel is different
A kernel is a piece of software that runs underneath android and let's the operating system communicate with all the hardware that's on the phone, with out a kernel, your phone won't boot into anything
Kernels are very specific, you can't install a sense kernel with an aosp ROM, the kernels have to also be compatible with the ROM you want to run as well
Usually(in fact, its rare in the case that it doesn't happen), when you install a rom, you also install the kernel for that ROM, such as a CyanogenMod kernel and a CyanogenMod ROM, but not the other way around
If you ever want to install a custom kernel, install it AFTER you install a ROM, or else when you install the ROM, you will overwrite the custom kernel

Up to your preference, I prefer CM10.x, other prefer TW-based ROMs, there is no answer to that question. Look through and pick one, you don't like it, try a different one.
And if you run into terms or other things along the way, search xda for a lousy of definitions. There's a couple of pretty good ones that you may want to bookmark for quick reference. Also read the stickies.

Go through the custom ROM's, check out screenshots, features and bugs. Read the instructions, and search!! Follow this and then if You have any problem, ask it here. Kindly do not expect someone to spoon feed You.
As for MIUI, I don't think it has been updated lately(somebody correct Me if I'm wrong). You can also go for Existenz or Honami Style.
Next time mention what is Your current state, like if You are rooted, bootloader unlocked, which ROM You are on currently, recovery is intalled or not etc.

Porting Help Needed

Hello Guys!
I need help in porting (or building from source) a jellybean rom to redmi 1s. Can you please suggest a rom which is worth porting and how I should do this? I know I can use ROM Kitchen and i know how to use it. But what I think is that the ported rom might not work if we use MIUI V5 as base rom cause it is already heavily modded. So any suggestions for that
You can port miui too see adria ROM it also based on miui stock and its awesome ROM bro so go for it..And do some thing diffrent..all the best.:good:
If you want to port a JB rom, then you'll need a JB Rom as Base. And if im not wrong you might be porting 4.2.x not 4.3
So basically we dont have any 4.2.x rom which can be used for base.
But if you are porting a 4.3 rom then there is a Rom available, AOSP 4.3 but it has some bugs which has been mentioned.
But as you also stated that you want to build from source, then go ahead start building the environment in your PC.
Remember Porting Rom from another device is a different thing and Building from source is another thing.
Good luck.
Can anyone upload cm11 for redmi 1s
Link broken cm removed our device
Pls
bootloop on ported rom
Hi xda
I am trying to port slimkat from moto g to our device , it is in bootloop stage

Need help in porting rom
Even i am trying to port this rom but no success. I am just learning to port so help will be appreciated.
I am using mokee as base rom. After i boot, it shows mi logo and then stucked at slimkat logo.
I tried changing Bootclasspath but it directly goes to fastboot. Any change in boot.img is directly taking me to fastboot. Please help me to learn porting.
If anyone had ported any rom then please tell me what base rom you used and link for port rom.
Thanks in advance.

"official" Lollipop/Marshmallow on i9195

good morning.
I'd like to know if there's any way to get an official (I mean directly from Google) Lollipop/Marshmallow rom and flash it on an i9195 and, if yes, what's the procedure to do that.
I don't mean custom roms that we can all find even here but just basic ones.
maybe I'm asking something strange/obvious, I bag your pardon but I'm not so expert...
thanx

No. Basically you have the "official" touchwiz rom for your region/carrier/device(developed by Samsung and the carrier) and you have custom roms.
Only Nexus devices have vanilla AOSP roms that are more or less stock android. It is possible to have stock AOSP on this device but it is a LOT of work for a developer to get it to work properly. This is why most roms are based on CM because of the existing development and code base

I keep asking down here because I don't want to overload the forum, even though this new question of mine could be in another post: as I flash a new rom I guess I'm getting a "bulk" android, so does anybody know if there's a "good" (i.e. reliable and working!) tool/app/mod/wth that can bring TouchWiz back on the device?
I feel very comfortable with Samsung's TouchWiz and wouldn't like to lose it...
thanx again

I wish more XDA users would think before they overload or post off-topic in threads.
When you flash a custom rom, you are entirely overwriting the /system partition. This is where the touchwiz rom also needs to reside. To flash a stock touchwiz rom you need a tool called Odin(for windows; Heimdall is similar but works on Linux). You can get Odin from a lot of different places, I found one in here, there are a few versions but this one works well in my experience.
You can search for youtube tutorials or tutorials on XDA for how to use Odin. Search for "stock rom i9195" or "Odin tutorial" or something....
All you need then is the touchwiz rom in .tar.md5 format which you can get from a number of sites including sammobile.com and samsung-updates.com. You will get a .zip file which when unzipped gives you the .tar.md5 file. Be aware that most of these sites require a premium membership for fast downloads. You can still download at slow sppeds but it is really slow. Just choose the latest rom for your region
sorry, maybe I didn't understand well: can I put touchwiz back on a CM custom rom or not?

No, Touchwiz needs Samsung proprietary files etc to work.
Edit; but you may be able to get a similar feel by applying a "touchwiz" theme, but it's not real touchwiz

No, it's either one or the other. When you flash a custom rom it completely wipes the /system partition(either manually or automatically within the installer script). Normally you need to wipe your data as well because of incompatibilities.
So, you don't "put touchwiz on" the custom rom or vice versa. You replace the whole operating system. Hope that makes it clearer
:crying:
what do you think about these things I found on Google Play?
CM13/12.x Galaxy S7
CM13/12.X GalaxyUI Themes
CM12.x/CM13 Galaxy S6
TouchWiz for CM13
