[Q] Android M on LG G3

So seeing as how the Google IO just happened.... And how google just released a preview image of Android M....
Will we be seeing any port of this to the G3

Looking at the way LG executed lollipop release for G3 , I would not even hope for a stable M release. I wouldn't even dream about it.

Already is one for the 850.......Fingers crossed - those devs said they wanted to start with 850 & 855 - hopefully 851 is on deck...

There is no announcement from LG.. Just a supposition..

German website says 5.1.1 is in final testing stage and will be ready in two weeks.
Furthermore they say UX 4.0 is also coming with the 5.1.1 update.
South Korean versions of the G3 will get the update first, to be followed by international variants "some weeks after".

Nothing is official but it does look like we will be getting Android 5.1.1. However LG could cancel their plans and only release Android M to us. Take everything with a pinch of salt until an official announcement by LG.

android ice cream sandwich for E975

Hello, i downgraded my optimus g to jellybean, and now i want to downgrade it to the first firmware 4.0.4 or 4.0.3
many websites say that it is shipped with icecream sandwich, and i really want to try it, but i don't know which one is it on lg firmware
can anyone please give me name of the firmware ?

Only korean versions was shipped with ics. International has jellybean.

[Q] Different carrier custom ROM

Hey guys, I have been out of the scene for some time so here is my question.
I recently got a US Cellular LG 4 like new, I know I cannot root unless I downgrade, the question is, can I flash a ROM from a different carrier on this phone or the hardware is different?
I don't get it.
I don't intend to use this phone with US Cellular.

Bands are different for sure... Not sure if anything else in hardware wise but I wouldn't do that if I were you. Look that H811 were porting H815 ROM to have 'clean' G4 experience. There must be some kernel differences as well. Long story short don't do that if you have anything else than Tmo then wait for(possible) bootloader unlock

cant port.. can use lineage OS. for port needs to be in same android version... say we get nougat and G6 last nougat with different features then G4 that can be port.. as long as they are in the same android version .

No need to port anyway, official Nougat update is coming for the G4 this 3rd quarter, it was announced officially.
All because a lot of customers were unhappy with G4 not getting 2 OS updates.

You can't even port h811 rom on h815 with a working camera, how can you port v10 ?
LG g4 camera will not work unless we have these specific drivers. Porting is not only about the cpu !
