Hi all,
I uninstalled the secure folder because it is conflict with NOW launcher. the app drawer is not showing any app. Anyway to reinstall it?
Thanks.
Do you mean the secure folder? I don't think there is a way. They don't like each other. I've only been able to run either Google Now Launcher or My Secure folder. Uninstalling Secure folder should make the app drawer work properly. if it's not showing properly, you man need to reinstall the launcher.

Hi it is an add on app which is called secure folder. i uninstalled it and the app drawer for NOW launcher appears.
Check through your settings if there is an installation option. If not maybe the Samsung App Store?

If you want to re-install Secure Folders, go to Settings -> Lock Screen and security. Scroll down to where it says Secure Folders. This will put it back in.
However, Google Now Launcher will stop working. If you want to put back the TouchWiz, you can either uninstall Google Now, or go to Settings -> Applications. Select Default Applications in the upper right. Near the bottom is Home Screen, select that and change it back to TouchWiz.
Thanks all. Either now or secure. Sad

angka8, have you tried Nova Launcher? You can get it to look pretty much like Google Now if you want. It's pretty customizable. The only think you can't get is Swipe Left for Google now. You can have it activate other ways. Some people have it set when you swipe up. I have mine to activate when I press the Home button on the home screen. I'm a huge fan of Google Now, but was Nova was recommended to me. It looks exactly the same and Secure Folder works with it.
Strange, both are working fine together for me. I have no problem accessing my app drawer.

Hi All,
I have installed the " Minimalistic Text " app which added 13 widgets to the widgets page.. Actually I am using only one of these widgets.
Is there a way to remove all the widgets of this app except the one I am using ?
or maybe a way to put all of them in one folder ?
Thanks in advance,
To remove them long press and drag them to the "remove" bin that appears at the top of the screen.
I don't think you can put widgets in folders, though I've not tried; you could try long press and drag one on top of another to see what happens...

Go into Minimalistic Text setting > Global settings > Widget sizes and untick the ones you don't want to be shown.
To hide the widgets totally in your app draw you will need to install a 3rd party launcher like Nova or Apex.

I've just installed the Google Now Launcher but some icons, like calendar and notes, are missing, showing only a green android.
Is there a way to fix this?

Please use search, this topic has been discussed before.
The icons for certain built in LG apps do not appear to show up in third party launchers. Some folks have found icon packs that you can install to work around the issue (this only works with certain launchers).

Got it, thanks..
Another question (I've just found out).. How can I disable google now launcher (to use again the LG launcher) without uninstalling it? If I go in the app menu the disable button, the one to delete the preference for that app, is grey..

That's not working as I said, the button is grey, I can't clear the defaults like I do with the other app!
Okay I misunderstood your first post on this. The LG launcher is called home. launch that and it should ask if you want it as the default.

If you hold the recent apps it will bring up an option for system settings, if you go to your settings that way it will show you the settings in tab form.
Yes that settings go to the rigt one.. But if i click shortcut or in app driver settings gies to list one
sent from me. :]
Hi! This is because LG actually put in 2 different settings apps, one in tab view and the other in list view. You can see this when you change the view for settings in the upper right conrner of the settings app and then look at your recent apps. The thing is that nova launcher, and also a lot of other launchers (Google Now Laucher for example), only have the listed-view settings app in their app drawer. You can get to the tabbed view, as mentioned above, by holding your recents button and selecting settings from there or you can hit the settings button in the upper right corner of your notification pull down tray..
Ohh so thats why...thank you

I just noticed that when using noval launcher ,theres a slight delay after pressing apps like messaging , phone, gallery to launch. After trying back stock launcher, they kind off open instantly. Anyone experience that too ?
Yes i noticed too.

This'll help
I whipped this up in tasker. It'll make a shortcut (available in app drawer) to get to the tabbed settings... First run is a little slow to load. You can put it wherever you want (folder, desktop etc)
This helped me alot. I have the LG G Stylo/Rooted/Nova Prime. Setup is great and I keep it with a stock look.
Finally Samsung has release Secure Folder to the Galaxy App store for the S7 and S7E. This is one of the truly great features I missed from the Note 7.
Now to find a way to transfer the My Knox files to Secure Folder....
How is the Knox folder different than secure folder? I have shortcuts in a folder on my public homescreen to my Knox secured apps. I call this folder "secure folder". I am running a note 5.

The only real difference is you can't see whats in Secure Folder until you login to it unlike My Knox that shows icons of the apps installed prior to logging in.

Ahh, I see. Makes sense I guess. I have used Knox for a long time even on my s6. It never bothered me to see the folders inside. They still needed my finger print to get in. So you could put your file "secrets to everything" in secure folder and no one would be the wiser.

For those who like using Pixel launcher, Secure Folder will cause the latest version of Pixel launcher to force close. It will also cause other launchers to show no apps in the app drawer.

Hi to all!
Simply question: I want to remove the google assistant in the bottom corners of the homescreen, so i go settings>apps & notifications>default apps>assist & voice input>assist app and i select none and till here nothing to say. The problem is that everytime i reboot or switch off the phone, google assistant return as default app instead of "none" and it's a lot weird. There's a way to definitely remove the app? i don't want to uninstall or disable it, only remove from the corners. Maybe a fake app to put there instead of google. Thank you!

If you're rooted, just freeze it with titaniumbackup. If not rooted, use adb to disable.
Edit... N/m Check the launcher settings? I use nova launcher so never seen it.
Which os are you on?
when I follow that route (settings>apps & notifications>default apps>assist & voice input>assist app) I just have Google, no option for "none".
i use the MS launcher and I've never had the Google assistant on the home screen, switched back to the 1+ default and it wasn't there either
I'm on stock oos 10.0.12, I've taken a screen.. and I'm using Nova launcher

I've said I don't want to disable it because I think it could give problems
EDIT: See now from PC that your sentence was crossed out. I'm using nova too, is there a setting inside launcher that i don't see?

I'm not sure.. I have mine set to 'none' as I don't use the assistant. I haven't had any issues. In fact, it's been that way since I set up the phone some 9 months ago.
