Hi All,
I have installed the " Minimalistic Text " app which added 13 widgets to the widgets page.. Actually I am using only one of these widgets.
Is there a way to remove all the widgets of this app except the one I am using ?
or maybe a way to put all of them in one folder ?
Thanks in advance,
To remove them long press and drag them to the "remove" bin that appears at the top of the screen.
I don't think you can put widgets in folders, though I've not tried; you could try long press and drag one on top of another to see what happens...

Go into Minimalistic Text setting > Global settings > Widget sizes and untick the ones you don't want to be shown.
To hide the widgets totally in your app draw you will need to install a 3rd party launcher like Nova or Apex.

This will only work for you dock.
With better cut (paid app) you can just long press the home screen, shortcut, better app, installed application, pick the app, rename the app title (for home screen) change the icon, pick picture, navigate to the picture, and your done.

I've just downloaded this and have no idea how to get it to work, it says to long press on home screen and select widgets, but it doesn't have that option. Not supported for ICS??

Obviously not tried this with beautiful widgets. Their widgets do not show up in app draw. Only way to get them to work is 'long-pressing' home screen, which we know doesn't give a widget option in ICS.
As far as I'm aware, you would need a custom launcher which has long-press home screen for widgets option. Not worth it imo. I uninstalled my BeautifulWidgets App within 10 minutes of paying 10p for it yesterday, not wasting that kind of money!
I had this problem, beautiful widgets not showing up in app drawer.
Restarted my phone and they show up now.

aspudgun,
WOW! can you say [email protected] to youself? I have the program... I have a GN and I use the widget on the stock launcher... how about u shut your mouth before you run it like a moron... sorry for being rude but i'm not going to take crap from someone who thinks they know it all...
but here are the steps to prove as I just did it on my GN again to make these steps.
1. hit app drawer.
2. select widgets at top of the screen
3. slide over to right until you see the Beautiful Widgets...
4. press and hold the widget of your choice for it
5. place on the screen of your choice you want it to be on
6. remove finger from screen to drop widget on screen
7. screen pops up to setup the widget how you like it (you can get back to the settings by selecting the weather icon in the widget and then hitting the menu soft button which is in the upper right corner)
8. then hit the Save & Apply button and done
Amazing how things work isnt it aspudgun???
again sorry to Jlovell and others for having to read this to get working steps...

What are you talking about? You use beautiful widgets just like any other widget. Did you happen to look at all the widgets that started with the word beautiful in the app drawer? I'm using it now and its super easy

You sometimes have to reboot for widgets to appear in the app drawer... You guys really take this stuff personally LMFAO
Thanks for calling tech support, have you tried turning it off and on again?
Lol, about half the widgets I've downloaded required a reboot to show up in the app drawer...when something doesn't work right, reboot.
A question, when I go in my widget setting to try and change it as I want to change something, I go into settings -> general and it force closes on me, I'm trying to get the black squares to disappear for the Ice Cream Sandwich Super Clock skin by a person named Tama-Chan.
If you can't do it using the app, is there any way to edit a current skin? I just want to remove the black squares and change the font to Roboto to match the ICS font? Any guidance would be much appreciated!

There was an update this morning that mentioned ics compatibility so maybe you can now edit preferences for a widget properly or you could try this:
I did it by removing and re-adding the widget. When you re-add it you get a dialogue asking you what settings you want to use which works.
In ICS, is there a way to hide apps that I don't use much, or to hide widgets that I don't use at all in the drawer?
Is there a good app to download to organize widgets in the drawer? I have a lot and most of them, I don't use.
Thanks
For widgets I'm not using I just delete them from the screen (hold 2 secs, drag to the bin at the top) - that doesn't delete the programs you can always re-add them from the home menu if you change your mind.
Hide app shortcuts - drag them on top of each other so there's one drawer for the lot.

You can disable apps you don't use. Can't really do that with individual widgets though.

Check out AWDLauncher. You can organize apps into different groups and swipe left and right to switch groups.
If you want to totally hide apps check out Launcher PRO.

as in the "clock" app/widget? just go back into your Settings > Apps and scroll own to the bottom, it'll be grayed out. Click on it and re-enable it.
Hey guys,
As the title says I am looking for a way to disable that stupid function when you install an app there will be automatically a shortcut added to the desktop.
Didn't find any solution for that, even using different launcher and no sense launcher.
It really ****s up my beautiful desktop screens.
Thanks in advance.

It's in the market settings ('Auto-add widgets')
you can also just long press and drag the widget up to where it says "remove" at the top of the screen. i prefer downloading the widget and then deciding if i want it visible or not.

thanks for the clarification. as i said, i prefer deciding whether it should be visible or not, rather than having them all not visible (and maybe having to hunt for it).
I normally use a blank page for this: First navigate to that page, then install the applications.
Now this page has all applications I have to try out.
It's some sort of todo page.
I mean the left page on touchwiz with calendar, mail etc, i don't use this and I'd like erase or hidden it.
Thanks.

Use nova launcher or google now launcher
I tested it but I don't like because the apps don't fill the screen
Use Nova launcher and change the settings. It's under desktop and margins. That will give you the full screen to use.

You can just hold each widget and slide it to the trash if you do this for all of the widgets the first whole window will disappear... as far as the second window goes you have to leave one widget on there, I left the calender and it doesn't do any harm I use the calander a lot so it's useful for me other then that I dont really swipe to the left.
