Hi everyone i am new to this.
Basiclly I have a Galaxy Note 2 LTE and i recently flashed a stock rom of Jelly Bean 4.1.2
My problem is before i flashed it, my startup and shut down was the stock Samsung one and now its the annoying T-mobile one
After flashing it also installed a few T-mobile apps and also T-mobile ringtones. Can someone tell me how to get back to the original Startup animation and also how to remove all this T-mobile crap!
You flashed a T-Mo branded firmware. Flash any unbranded on from sammobile and branded apps and boot logos will revert to sammy ones.

Haha just do what he said and flash a stock firmware.
You can just replace the startup and shutdown animation files if you want. But its easier to just flash an unbranded rom if you don't know what your doing. All your apps and data should stay in place.
Zip included just in case. Ps this zip is not for flashing, do im manually with root explorer Instructions included.
thanks for all the replies.
this rom i flashed wasnt an official UK one and it said nothing about t-mobile. it said i needed an unlocked phone before flashing so was kinda shoked to see the t-mobile logo lol.
so do i just wait for the stock UK rom to come out then???
thanks again
It has already came out

I'd imagine it would be rather odd seeing a network logo on an unlocked phone!
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1896696&highlight=cf+autoroot
Yes, no UK one is out yet for unlocked. I'm waiting for the O2 or unlocked one. But I think it doesn't matter which one you use since it's only the first initial start up screen will come in that particular language, so you could use another countries. I just want to wait Should come out some time this month, if not in a few days.

I just flashed this ROM on my uk N7105, working great,
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2072621
OK its been tweaked to be rooted etc but I always root anyway.
Nice one
Could anyone shed a little light on this subject for me. I bought my N2 N7100 online about a few months ago, I'm in the US. Took screen shots of all the settings before I decided to root/flash anything. I decided to go back to factory, everything is fine.
My question is; from what I had gathered from the info about my phone was that the factory build was from Argentina looking at the numbers. So when I flashed it, there was a ton of Spanish apps and stuff on it. When I originally got the phone it wasn't like that at all, it even has a Spanish boot animation. I'd like to go back to the build that should be on in the first place. My phone was made in Vietnam, and I have a picture of the phone settings before I did anything. If anyone could let me know the proper build I would appreciate it, or suggest a better one. I'm using this phone in the United States. Thanks
At kies you can put the serial number and download the latest version of the firmware which was your phone when you bought it.
Look this video
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6WaAMwMk1i0
but better don't trust kies for flashing see the exact firmware version csc etc from the firmware that kies downloaded at kies download folder and download the firmware from sammobile and flash it via odin

I recently had to downgrade my rom so I could use of of the unlocking methods I found here on xda. I went over to sammobile and downloaded the appropriate rom ( android 4.1) for my carrier and phone, I flashed it using mobile odin, turns out it was a rom for a rogers phone even thought the description and even the file ended with BMC and not RWC which indicated it was for bell, any case I unlocked the phone all went back an restored the system image from cwm all was fine till about 24 hours ago when my phone started acting up very glitchy and i decided it was time to to a full clean up and resort the stock rom. I again mobile odin to flash stock but for what ever reason the apps being loded on to the phone are for rogers carrier. I am using I317MVLBMA3_I317MOYABMA3_BMC which by all indication tells me its for bell, so what the hell is going on ? I have downloaded this and flashed it both from mobile odin and from my pc and ever time its a rogers rom. any help would be great.
They're the same roms. All Canadian versions are the same except the system carrier apps included. Your glitches probably happened from something else. Is there any app that you've installed in the last 24 hours or have you done something unusual on your phone in the last 24 hours?

they are for the most part the same roms with minor differences for instance the rogers rom displays a 4g icon where as the bell displays a HSDPA icon or something lol, and also the carrier bloatware is not the same bell has its own bloat, even the browser launches to rogers website. I even removed the bloat with titanium and when i flashed the new rom it came right back so i have no idea why this ghost apk files are coming from.
update, I downloaded the telus firmware and tried to flash that with odin, flashed fine but rogers apps are still there. can not return to bell stock firmware, any help would be great.
Download csc changer from play and set it for bmc whats funny is mine is rogers but when I flash it I get all bell stuff

worked out great thanks a lot man, I was racking my brain why this was not working.
I picked up a at&t phone off eBay and I work off a regional carrier that doesn't have this phone. Is there any generic firmware that will still get updates like a blanket Motorola version? Or am I stuck with rooting and using someone's packaged rom to get away from at&t customized stock rom?
Been a while since I've rooted and changed firmwares on my phones so I apologise for the noob question.
Thanks
If you are talking about normal OTA update then you should be fine
in a few days i will test flashing the retail firmware to my at&t device and will let you know more then if it works or not.
Awesome. Thanks. Yes would love to remove the at&t apps and branding from this phone.
Any luck??
still waiting for my new device in the mail.
Greetings,
I'm super new here, also a tech noob so pls be gentle.
I purchased an unlocked At&T Note 10+, and i am living in Malaysia. Little that I know At&T would never send updates to out network, and that I require an At&t SIM in order to get the updates. Currently I am stucked with Android 9, ONE UI 1.5, with no hope of getting anything higher than that.
My question is, how can i get the updates besides flashing a new firmware? I tried connecting to Smart Switch on my laptop, and all it can says is that my software is up to date on SJ8 (ATT).
Hope there's a way other than flashing. HELP.

Hi Mohd Azrimny,
Am in the same boat as you. In Malaysia and have the note 10 plus at&t version. How did you manage? I am using Odin and getting error message connection failed. Not sure what is the problem.
Can you point me from where you downloaded the firmware? I am suspecting that is the culprit.
Thanks!

I'm sorry but I don't think there's other way around, you'll need to flash another firmware.
I have an Unlocked Verizon Note10+, the first thing I did after getting it out of the box was flash the unbranded firmware (CSC: XAA).
Ever since, I've had OTA updates as quick as they're released for N975U1.

I see...tq man. Can u help me out with one last thing? As they are thousands of firmware out there, which one should i choose? Can i simply choose any unbranded firmware (N975U1) from any month security updates n just flash it? I just need a stock ROM, not the latest should be ok as the OTA will take care of the rest.
Right now i'm at nov 2019 security updates SJ8 (ATT).
Thanks in advance.

Well, unfortunately I'm not sure about previous versions, however I'm leaving attached my SW information, my CSC is XAA.
You can download it from sammobile or frija (this is way faster).
Hope this helps,
Regards.
So, knowing you are a noob is half the solution already...
I highly recommend you look for Frija on the internet. Download the tool, search for the phone you have , it is a SM-N975U , and since you want to get rid from the AT&T version, you can install the SM-N975U1 version with XAA as CSC, that Samsung themselves push updates to. Even if they will not, you can always download the next revisions..
I assume you know how to use Odin..

No worries, as Odin and the phone check revisions and suitability. If not the right firmware, it should not write it.

and after a month or so, it cant detect my local carrier as well (maxis) and i receive a message constantly about the sim is not verizon sim
so i was hoping , flashing the firmware would eliminate this problem
what i did was :
1) download odin v3.14
2)download frija 1.4.3
3) download firmware SM-n975u1 csc XAA from frija
4)tried to flash using odin..and failed multiple time
5)tried download a patched version of odin 3.14
6)download a bunch of other firmware from USA verizon, malayisia and others
7)failed and failed and failed again
so sifu please help me?where did i go wrong? will flashing new firmware fix my carrier problem? or its a verizon issue?because it was working fine a month ago ..please help..
