ive been currently trying to flash new touch HD rom downloaded from Xda-dev
i tried to use softSPL method provided in this thread

however... when i try to run either hardSPL or softSPL (tried both and on 3 PCs) in all 3 cases i get all the time the same error
cecopy.exe application error
problems with initiation error 0xc0000142 click OK to close the application
just regular windows error :/
the hell whats the problem ive been googling for few hours for solution to this error and all i could find was some bullshitting about administrator rights (lol i have one acc on my pc )
what can i do :? ehhh
reinstalled windows :/ fresh installation
drivers + active sync .... still the same issue :/
any ideas ?

I'm dual booting xp sp3/ubuntu 9.04 and can't install the CeCabMgr. Every time I double click it (in xp, of course) it says that another uninstall is pending and to restart the computer, to allow it to finish (which I've done 5 or 6 times) and when I go to install CeCabMgr again, I get the same message.
Does anyone know why or how to fix it?
And/or would someone who has CeCabMgr please just repack the IIWPO cab with my info in it for me? TIA!

Downloaded and used Cabintegr to be used on the ppc itself. A little more difficult beacuse of how ppc's are, but a pretty good program.
Anyone ever found a solution to this? I can use it under Windows 7 but under XP it states that a installation is pending. It must somehow find something from the Windows 7 Installation. Its annoying because Photoimpact stoped working under Windows 7. Now I need to keep switching back and forth. Used Filemon and Regmon without finding a way to circumvent the check and force the installation.
I tried using the jailbreak tool provided in the forum and when i run it i always get the ERROR Message : error the system was unable to find specified registry key or values
does anyone else get the same message? and has anyone been able to fix this?

Never seen that. Does it print any other messages before or after? Does this happen before the UAC prompt or after?

i´ve got the asus vivo tf600t with Windows 8.1 rt installed. I´ve got the same error, that, after prompting administrative rights, the specific registry entry or value couldn´t be found. my System language is german, does anybody has a solution to solve this Problem? i would appreciate this !!

I believe the error is because this jailbreak method only works in Windows RT 8, not 8.1. They blocked the jailbreak in 8.1

I've got it too and I downgraded to windows 8 and still no difference,,, always saying ERROR MESSAGE.,, and am running windows 8,,some one could help me???

I have the same problem, im in test modus now but cant install anything, when i trey to run the jailbreak i for the message; the system was unable to find the specified registery key or value. Waiting for uptime to reach in 2 minutes, but closed in 20 sec... What can i do?
Did you try the UMCI disable tool from Ring of Lightning?
