Facebook video bug on OnePlus 3 - OnePlus 3 Questions & Answers

Hello,
Am I the only one having a problem with loading videos/GIFs in the Facebook app when I am on LTE/4G with my OnePlus 3?
When I try to play a video on Facebook it buffers for about 1 minut and then it turns black. As soon as I connect to WiFi it works perfectly (I have tried different WiFi connections).
I ran a speed test on my LTE/4G and it gave me 100 mbit - so the connection is fine.
Running complete stock OxygenOS 3.2.4 with no root.
Any suggestions?

UPDATE: I just flashed the Resurrection Remix ROM for OP3 and now the videos on Facebook are working with LTE/4G connection. (Tried Hydrogen OS but it has same bug)
I guess we can conclude that it is a software bug in Oxygen / Hydrogen OS and not a hardware bug in the phone.

WiFi / Router connection problem ! SOLVED

Here is the issue I am having with my Galaxy Nexus while connected to the wifi / router (2Wire Bell Canada) at home
All happened 3 days ago when I was trying to open the play store and noticed that it stucked on the loading... screen
till it gave the connection timed out error.(Never happened before)
I tried to open the browser and been able to browse light sites..Heavy ones though were taking forever to open and
everything that need " sign in " as hotmail..(from the browser) didn't open at all giving an error of not connected to a network.
I run a speedtest >
Download : 6.2 mbps (I have 7 mbps plan) - Upload (took forever to load) : 0.03 mbps (I have 0.7 mbps plan)
Strange enough that next day I tried the above at work over wifi and all worked smoothly !
Tried over 3G and all worked smoothly as well ... !
Went back home, connected to wifi and same issue.., play store stucked on the loading... screen and all the above.
Note that I didn't change any settings neither on the phone or the router... except few updates for my installed apps.
I cleared data / cache of the play store, fastboot erase cache, changed channels on the router but nothing helped !
I was thinking of factory reset or reflashing ...but since it is working at work and over 3G I don't see the point of doing that...
Any help/suggestion will be appreciated.
Thank you,
i have almost the same issue here, but mine is with additional problems like :
"i experiencing extreme slowdowns
- ui is very smooth for the most part, but some actions just have the phone freeze for 5-20(!) seconds
- several (most) apps keep getting the "is not reacting"-screen, even when i'm not using the device
- this freezing sometimes results in complete lockups of the device, device is running but doesn't react to the power button to turn screen on/off (either at all, or for around 20 seconds).
- just extremely slow wifi connection take me forever to download anything."
thing i did :
factory reset, wipe everything , reset everything , tried different roms (4.1.2 ; 4.2 )
the interesting part is when i'm not connected to a wifi i don't experience these problems ..
thanks if someone reply.
and thanks for letting me use this thread.

I tried many tricks without any success ... I wonder if it is related to the internet speed especially that while using my phone at work (extreme high speed connection) I have no problems at all - But at home with a regular high speed connection I have all the problems : can't open the play store stucked on loading, very slow browsing, network timed out ...etc.
Does anyone tried with a higher speed internet connection ? ... what speed are you getting on your phone when all these problems occured...
Thank you,
One thing that most people don't know about it is wifi channels. I had the same issue with my phone not to long ago. None of my PCs were affected by this, so I checked the WiFi channels been use by my neighbors and I found 3 WiFi signals( including my) using channel 6. This is means trouble so I changed my to channel 11 and problem solved. It doesn't mean you r having the same issue but worth a try. Download a WiFi utility software if you wanna check.

Thanks for your input...I tried that too with no luck ! ...But it is true that sometimes changing channels helps solving such issues.
Hello All,
after debating to find a fix for the issues I was having with my Galaxy Nexus and the Wifi / Router (Bell Canada) - Read issues in the first post.
I called Bell for the 3rd time and I was lucky to talk to a smart agent who told me that the problem is from Bell - They are having issues connecting to the https sites (secure sites) and they are indeed working to solve the problem as soon as possible !
So if Bell Canada is your internet provider and having problems connecting to the play store (which needs access to username/password), slow internet browsing, etc... hopefully everything will get back to normal soon !
Cheers,

Network connection error.

Hi all,
I need your help with my issue.
I have a problem with my internet connection on some games. (WiFi or 4G) If i tap on retry, it is working as it should. Except Clash of clans. It keeps disconnecting. i can play a minute or 2 before the messeage appears. On 4g Clash of clans is working perfectly. (Strange)
I tryed 2,4 and 5ghz band of the router. (Asus RT-N66U)
With my HTC m8 on the old firmware everything worked perfectly. (Android 4.4.2)
Since Android 5.0.1 and firmware 4.16.401.10 i get these errors. I tried several ROM'S. (SkyDragon, Leedroid, Insert Coin.) So it's not the software i suppose.
My HTC One m8 is S-Off and have Super CID.
For what it's worth, i'am living in the Netherlands.
Could it be a problem in the firmware or am i supposed to use another firmware? It looks like the WiFi is unstable. A speedtest is not constantly. Could it be a problem with my router? (Laptop is working fine)
Router WiFi settings: https://www.imageupload.co.uk/image/ZZrn
I hope you guys and gals have a solution for my problem.
Thnx in advance!

It's a common problem with Lollipop. With other devices and stock ROMs as well. The next update should fix this.

This is a solution I've never heard of till now. It's been reported to work for others, obviously, or you wouldn't have posted this. Specifically, on what networks/carriers?

Same issue here. I have noticed if I go in to airplane mode and back out my data isn't bad for about 45 min. Also my phone is a clean setup, I did not recover from backup and my phone has the bootloader unlocked. I only have a handful of apps on it.
Strange! You guys purchased from official store? Cause, no connectivity issue here at all. Check xiaomi authentication online. Check my speedtests:https://paavelo.tumblr.com/post/631930203952824320/speedtest
Please check again after you disable the gps and bluetooth...
And do it not from the drop down curtain, but from the menu...

Suddenly extreme slow wifi speed

Hi guys. I have 100mb fiber internet in my home. I bought a Mi A2 Lite in monday of last week. My Mi A2 Lite stock Android 9 4/64gb works fine, the wifi signal and speed was never a problem, but in the last 3 days my wifi speed goes extremely down. Youtube can't even load the thumbs, the videos don't open, It takes a lot of time to download some app from Play Store, etc. All the conection is extremely slow, like a 2G internet or older. The phone was working fine until the last days, I didn't have installed any new thing, don't touched the wifi router... PC, notebook and another Android devices working fine in Wifi, except my Mi A2 Lite. The 4G in the phone works fine. I've already turned off the bluetooth and location and nothing happens. Already reseted the wifi configurations and nothing, changed the wifi channel in router and no way... This is as far the worst Xiaomi I've ever bought :crying: :crying: :crying:
With speedtest apk the donwload and upload speed can't eve reach 20 kbps. No way to use.
What can I do? Mi Mi A2 Lite is brand new, last Android 9 (10.0.18.0) that I updated in tuesday (and make a factory reset), all working fine until this sh** starts...

Same problem here. Nothing changed, no ota update the last days. Very slow internet connection, tested with different router. Of course phone not dropped or something. Sometimes the speed goes up to 50 mbit and the download also is optimal and reached 10 mbit. I can't see where the problem could be because it sometimes seems to work normally.
Remember this coronavirus thing that's happening worldwide now? Your WiFi is probably slow because most people are home and have nothing to do but stream movies etc.
Yesterday I was supposed to get a free upgrade from 20Mb to 120Mb on my fibre subscription but during daytime I see 2-4 Mb only.
