No Heat sink as you will see but some Thermal Pad stacked between CPU and Box Lid, will see how it goes may add a bit of copper shim between the Pads
to give it a bit more pressure against the CPU and Lid,

Bit of a look on the Inside:
Look at the bits that make it Tick:
As you will see fired up nice and quick first boot, I quickly tested remote, good coverage.
Good looking UI something a little different and boots fairly quick.
A quick look around the UI.
https://youtu.be/FQ8u6mHz1N4
Now that's the easy part done now for some BenchMarks soon to see what this beast can do.
First impressions looks good, solid feel and presented well.
Great Looking UI and appears well made

Update with some Benchmarks
First the Quirky bits I have found while testing so far
When using Keyboard (k400 plus Logitech), pressing enter gives you a Q on screen, other keyboard command appear to work fine just can push enter to complete line entry
Some apps I used for testing will not Rotate and stay Portrait in Landscape, some will start/intro sideways then rights itself in main application other times just runs sideways.
Could be Apps or Android 6, yet to try any orientating Apps and setting in Android 6 does nothing at present.
No upper or lower task/Notification bar at present, maybe a Android 6 thing
ALT and Tab lets you scroll thru recent apps, Hold Alt you can Close or Pick app you require.
WiFi is Ok appears to like Higher Channels on 2.4ghz
Working well at 5Ghz and ethernet 10/100 OK.
Now for some Benchmarks for those who need to see the Numbers
How compatible these bench testing Apps are going to be I guess we will find out as we go along
Temps while Running these test mostly around 50c most mid to high 40's
3Dmark and Antutu took it mid 50's and it struggled with Slingshot 3dmark.
Temps running in Upper centre of screen only an indication accuracy not guaranteed.
CPU-Z with the some Info
DRM level 3 had a quick look at Netflix No Hd but very watchable
Vellamo and the scores
Antutu Scores OK
An Oldy but the Numbers look good :biggrin-new:
Geekbench Url Below for full details

3DMark tried with Slingshot but could not make it happen to well, but things kicked into gear with other tests below

Simple free Yahtzee game [updated 29th AUG - high score table]

Version Updates:
* v0.8.0 - Fixed chance bug + fixed High Score not recording correctly
* v0.8.5 - Added high score table
I had some issues with the high score saving. I've now added a full high score table. You will see this when you finish a game. My testing is showing it saves between games but please let me know if there are any issues.
Roadmap for next few weeks:
* Main screen where you can choose to play, check the high scores, see an FAQ etc.
* Multiplayer (player 1 up / player 2 up)
* Bigger high score list
* Yahtzee success "animation" (when you get one)
* Yahtzee bonus pop-up and score guide when you get a 2nd, 3rd yahtzee etc
I've been working on an 'arcade' style yahtzee game in Flash and used the Adobe Packager to create a neat cab file for it. You'll also require the flash lite player from Adobe. The links are below.
I've tested this a lot with family and friends on my Touch HD and to be honest I'm addicted to it myself.
If you like it but discover any bugs let me know and I will fix and repost the cab file.
Also planning to add high score table, audio etc.

nice tool, but can you make this game skinnable
greets

I don't know how to play Yahtzee but I do know it works on VGA screens with a little resizing that does not impact play
Here you go: http://www.fuzemobility.com/yahtzee-timei-mean-yarboo-time/
By the way, just realized I don't know how to exit the game except for just hitting the home key and closing it through task manager...maybe in v .0.0.6 you can add an exit softkey within the game
exit game
Hi, thanks for the feedback
This rules info page is good.. http://grail.sourceforge.net/demo/yahtzee/rules.html
The cab should provide a 'quit' button via flash lite. I will look into a sofy key exit button though.
This is a very sweet game... boy flash sure makes these games look REALLY good.
really nice dude !!!
thanks a lot
Nice game thanks a lot.
Quick question : for me, the Chance roll doesn't work. If I try to add the score to "Chance", I'll get a 0 input. Anyone else ?
yep your are correct.
Will upload updated cab this evening. I think it was down to the late change I made to support the yahtzee bonus system.
Thanks
Richard

Oh. I read this as saying, ... makes these games look REALL
lol, they are real, and they even are good.
never mind
PS: I have spend many many many (WAY too many to even count) hours with
a handheld version of yatzee, in the water closet over the years....
Now I have to promise myself to never do that with my PHONE!!!!
Well done bro, thank you for this!
The high score is not working for me Each time I reopen Yarboo, it is reset to 0...
It would also be nice to have a high score list panel
cheers
High Score
Hi
Seems to be working for me however I noticed if you click 'menu' and then 'rewind' on the bottom flash lite menu bar it shows the latest high score
I'll fix this though and repost a cab
cheers
Richard
High score fixed
there was a minor problem on some devices of the high score not showing. I reckon this has been fixed (new cab file uploaded)
Download cab: http://www.yubaba.net/download/yarboo_0.8.0_English (US).cab
thanks a lot dude !!! I will try it ASAP
you should update the first post and the title also ...

so the high score record during the game is fixed but it is reset to "0" when you exit the game
Then, it would be also great to be able to cancel a choice by clicking one more time on it because if you click to fast on one field then you only have your eyes to cry lol
And one last question : how is the "Yahtzee bonus" working ? because I never was able to win this once Even if I make several Yahtzee I always have "0"....
High score
The high score table has now been added. I'm SURE it saves now
I'm checking the yahtzee bonus as well and will repost if there is a problem.
You can only put an extra yahtzee in the right hand list (lower sections). thems the rules.
Thanks a lot for the update dude !!!
But your high scores on the scores are pretty bad... lol
high scores
ha ha... those are testing 'high scores'. Should have posted them with false numbers
* "Yahtzee/Yarboo" Bonus clarification *
If you get a second "yarboo" and there is a space free on the right hand side then you can put it in any box and it will score the same AND you'll get an extra 100 points.
For example if you score 5 X 5's and there is a space free in the high straight you can put it in that box. You will score 40 points and get 100 poits extra as a yahtzee/yarboo bonus.
Cheers
Richard
Multi player (PC?)
I would love this as a multiplayer modus, via internet. Thus having my friend in France playing the game on her PC, whilest I'm playing it in Holland on my mobile.
I haven't come accross a good internet-multiplayer Yathzee (Kniffel) version for the PC, so it might be a bit too much to ask to have one that can do Windows as well as Windows Mobile.
multiplayer
Well in theory there should be no difference between mobile and desktop versions.
* You login into a server via the application (username/password)
* Type in your friends username to see if they are online
* See there score and selections.
The tricky stuff is setting up all the back-end server php code, SQL databases etc.
It would be a neat project though.. watch this space?

Bluez IME: Use your Wiimote to Play Emulators

Can anybody confirm if this works on the Epic with the Wii remote?? I know Wiimote never worked on Galaxy S devices, but this?
How awesome would this be along with Tv-out working!!

We’ve all seen old videos of people hacking various devices so they could use them in ways never meant to be used. While I can’t teach you how to wire your PS2 controller to drive your car, I can tell you that using your Wiimote to play Yongzh’s famous emulators. And believe it or not it’s incredibly simple. So, you’ve gotten Yongzh’s famous emulators for free and you want to really game. You have a phone without a physical keyboard and you’re sick of just playing RPGs. The virtual keyboard just doesn’t do Super Mario 64 justice, does it? Well, welcome in Bluez IME: The tool that’ll redo how you play emulators on your phone.
Step 1: Download Bluez IME from the Market. Sadly, the app only is confirmed to work with the following devices:
* HTC Desire 2.2
* HTC Desire 2.3.1 Oxygen
* HTC Evo
* HTC HD
* Samsung Captivate
* Samsung Galaxy S
If you don’t have one of those devices, try it out anyway. It may work. If not, email the dev and see if you can convince him to support your device.
Step 2: Go into your settings menu, select language and keyboard, and activate Bluez IME.
Step 3: Go into Bluez IME settings and activate Bluetooth. In the Select device driver menu, select Wiimote. Click Select Device and press scan. While it is scanning hit the sync button on your Wiimote (that red button right next to the batteries)
Step 4: Use the Select IME command in the settings to select Bluez as your keyboard. You may need to redo the syncing in step 3.
At this point, your phone should send you a message saying that a device as been connected. If not, redo step 3 and make sure all of the settings are correct.
You’ve got it connected now, you’re almost there!
Step 5: Go into your favorite emulator, and go to menu>settings>other settings. Make sure “Use input method” is checked. You can now go into your Input Settings and map the keys anyway you want! Enjoy your playing!
I don't even own a wii but if someone confirms this works I'm buying a wiimote
Sent from my SPH-D700 using XDA Premium App
Didn't work for me. I tried every option w/ gameboid.
Btw I tried a wiimote. It found the wiimote, connected to it, but then gave me a connection refused error. this app is definitely the closest to using a wiimote on galaxy s.

Man I wish we could use ps3 controllers... now that would be bomb.
cd's or tapes?
This didn't work on the EVO either until CM6... so maybe when we see CM7? Someone could give the current build a try. Worth a shot.
Definitely watching to see how this goes. Anyone emailed the dev who has downloaded this?

http://code.google.com/p/android-bluez-ime/issues/detail?id=7
from what I understand it's a kernel thing..
does this mean it can be fixed with a custom kernel?
if so, would it work with a custom kernel on a TouchWiz or Sense ROM?
Comment 46 by project member [email protected], Jun 6, 2011
Yes, that is my understanding, a custom ROM will enable L2CAP and thus this. As I understand it, Sense and TouchWiz are "just" homescreens + some bundled apps. But since HTC/Samsung own these, it may be hard to get/make a custom ROM with Sense/TouchWiz.
Comment 47 by [email protected], Jun 10 (3 days ago)
I'll get specifics for you later on, but from when I tested it, the official Classics Controller did not function. Oddly enough, a PS2>Classics Controller adapter I have that fails to register on another Wiimote IME did take button inputs, but the wrong physical buttons were pressing the wrong virtual buttons. I'll get a more exact mapping typed up to specify.
Comment 48 by project member [email protected], Jun 12 (2 days ago)
@ChicoK: Could you post me a Logcat showing what happens when you connect the classic controller? Are you using the MotionPlus plugin?
Comment 51 by [email protected], Yesterday (27 hours ago)
Works fine for me exept one big bug. When you try to change mapping for Left thumbstick left (nunchuck) it automatically changes the mapping for Button A (remote) thus making either button or thumbstick unusable. I dont think this even requires a wiimote to test, so should not probably be a problem to fix
P.S. Both buttons do actually work, they only map as one.
Comment 52 by [email protected], Yesterday (26 hours ago)
Looking at the source. They definately have the same id.
svn/trunk/BluezIME/src/com/hexad/bluezime/WiimoteReader.java
Line 67 "KeyEvent.KEYCODE_A, //Byte 1, bit 3"
and
Line 121 along with line 147 "KeyEvent.KEYCODE_A, //Classic, Left stick left"
Comment 53 by project member [email protected], Today (16 hours ago)
Oops, there are too many keys
Attached is a debug version which has the left-thumbstick-left reassigned to Q.
I will put it on Market shortly.

A good mini BT keyboard with trackpad UK layout?

Have been struggling to find a decent mini keyboard with trackpad and UK layout. Anybody got good suggestions?
I'm waiting for this one:
http://www.ebay.com/itm/280894176961?ssPageName=STRK:MEWNX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1497.l2649
I will let you know if its worth it. My main purpose it's to link the S3 with my TV by an MHL HDMI cable, and control it in the sofa.
Another alternative, if you want to use it with a mouse:
http://www.ebay.com/itm/110927748012?ssPageName=STRK:MEWAX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1423.l2649
Or:
http://www.ebay.com/itm/160832382759?ssPageName=STRK:MEWAX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1423.l2649
Another
http://www.ebay.com/itm/360479170092?ssPageName=STRK:MEWAX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1423.l2649
Interesting, but a little pricey:
http://www.ebay.com/itm/380453969866?ssPageName=STRK:MEWAX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1423.l2649
I didn't use any of the above. The second ones was a alternative that I considered.
Good luck.
Hi Bruno, the OP is looking for a UK layout keyboard, as am I. The ones you pointed to are all US layouts. The UK layout has the £ sign over the 3 rather than #. It also has an extra key to the left of Z for the \.
I too am looking for a reasonably priced UK layout keyboard but the only ones I've found are pricey. Probably because there are so few of them!

Thank for your replies guys. I ended up with the Logitech diNovo Mini UK layout. I also have a MHL HDMI cable in the post. Got a 64GB MicroSD in NTFS on the phone so main use is play music and films when I am out at friends' without having to carry my laptop or get up from the sofa every time I need to pause or something. Considered the Allshare Cast Dongle but I am using CM10 ROM so no Samsung apps and I would generic set ups so everything would still work when I upgrade in the future.
Using External Keyboard Helper Pro app I've assigned the Record key to Home, and left Windows key to Menu. ESC works as BACK anyway. All the media keys work. All the keys are mapped correctly. All the FN keys on the main keyboard works. Media Center key opens Apollo, Explorer goes to Home which have yet to figure out how to assign to Chrome, PC Power key turns screen off. The Zoom keys have been assigned but are not working. CTRL+ALT+DEL shuts phone off. Bonus of the app is you can set SHIFT/CTRL/ALT memory so you don't have to use both hands.
This is by no means a cheap set up but it has everything I need in a tiny and portable package.

Oh penis! That means I am going to have to back up all my apps and move to a Samsung based ROM... D'oh!
That's how I read it.
Wanted to get a Cyanogenmod ROM myself but after reading about the lack of MHL I'm not so sure anymore. After all I mainly used an CM ROM on my HD2 because of some of the functions that Samsung has in it's ROMs. I guess I can live with a rooted but otherwise stock SGS3.
All backed up! Going to give this Omega ROM a go:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1663656
All the Samsung Apps are there so should work.
Wish me luck...
I would be kind of surprised if they could do what the CM team can't.
Would be nice though. The ROM sounds pretty interesting to me.
Keep me posted.
So far I can confirm exFAT works on it (had to use NTFS work round on CM), all Samsung apps are present including Allshare. I have read reports that it works although my cable has yet to arrive so will let you know when that arrives.
I can confirm that everything works on Omega ROM as intended. Although the phone charger doesn't have enough juice to run the cable so a more powerful charger is needed.
Allshare Cast Dongle also works perfectly. I am able to stream 1080p with no lag. I also have a NAS, streaming from NAS to TV via phone I managed 720p with no lag. I will have to do some serious tweaking to see if I can get 1080p to run smoothly from the NAS.

Plugged in and on,
Small green LED in the front and Its not to bright.
Remix Logo or F2 to enter recovery
Get greeted with language selection,
Set up WIFI 2.4 GHZ only then check for Update. (system has the Latest version)
The Remix Mini features a capacitive touch power button unlike any PC of its kind. Rather than awkwardly feeling around the back panel for that elusive power button, just gently tap the top of your Mini.
Within seconds you'll be able to start doing what you need to do.
Apply a bit of pressure to the Top of the box or one Tap, Unit goes to Standby mode....Nifty tap again to wake up.
Plugged in K400r Logitech, looking good.
Screen Capture has a resizable/Snap square to capture all/or any of the screen.
This Is going to fun, and it is after a few days
This is a fun box if such a thing can exist, very much like running a MS$ Windows, all similar features with desktop
Installed Apps appear as a shortcut on the desktop.
Right click copy and paste, Close or minimise Apps with corner icons,
Software detected and running in 64 bit mode. Antutu bench test score 2100 64 and 32 bit
WIFI speed Good, as ether,
Did the usual install a heap of apps at once from Play all apps in no lag.
Using apps require one click as we know and using Remix is more Double Click I have found, may be a setting somewhere.
1920 x 1080 test
1280 x 720 test
Circle is the show desktop button.
Flyout window on the right click 3 horizontal lines Lower R/H.
Customise Icons on Lower Task bar as well as Hide lower task bar.
10th November Netflix is now Working.
Plex In and running looking good.
In the Left Corner of the screen there is a back Button for Remix this appears to interfere with apps that have a back button in the same location
Plex and Antutu Video tester so far I have come across.
Changing Resolution 1280 x 720 to 1920 x 1080 requires a restart how
windows 95 is that.
Some minor issues with running certain apps don't like being in a window environment but all will be sorted by the people at JIDE
This O/S could be a big game changer.

Absolutely true, I tested this feature yesterday and now the REMIX works like a charm.
now Premium Play (italian app) don't works and Plex stops film's view after 20 seconds and returns to home
Edit. Since the WiFi antenna is covered could it be possible to use a more powerful own WiFi antenna modifying the software?

If you are handy with a soldering iron, and working with the connection as seen on the PCB you could attach an external Antenna that may improve performance or check channel allocation maybe find a clearer/less used channel.

Currently use wifi at home.
Haven't tried the ethernet yet, but wifi was working fine.
It did have its hiccups at the beginning and once I updated to the latest release it was coming together. I did notice on Twitch that once you clicked on the pop out window it would get stuck on the right corner of my screen, without being able to close out or anything. I would have to quit Twitch and get into it again.. other than that everything was good!

P.S. Can you add the ability to tether with a phone? I tried and it has no success. Thank you

More testing in that area soon as with many other test,
More to come
Does this device come rooted ?
root
There is no root for GT1.
I wonder if the Geekbench 4 scores would differ from those posted here.
Also, it would be interesting to see how the S912 runs LibreELEC. Hopefully one will surface soon.

Looks great, professional test.
Just got mine in the mail. It appears to be a bit faster than my Ugoos UT4. Now I just need root access...

Hope he will support the A912 owners as well!
He just said he does not have it yet. I am pretty lucky to have one with 9377 WiFi/BT chip.
Sorry for the double post, I tested the custom ROM yesterday. Netflix works out of the box, without the need to modify anything. Everything else is pretty much the same. It does have some apps preinstalled that I do not want. I went back to the official one, especially since the guy in charge for the ROM does not have the device anymore and did not develop a version for the box with the other WiFi chipset.

I found the ROM quite a bit better then the 106 firmware.
-seemed a bit smoother (although this is highly subjective)
-kodi dark screen issue is gone
-I like the reboot app he added
-youtube works perfectly as is up to 1080p
most importantly, it looks like he might be continuing development, some of the members at freaktab are working to get him some donations so he can buy another GT1, hes very close to having the enough to buy another GT1.
I never had any black or green screen, none of those issues that some other people complained about with official firmware. I gave it away, since I got the Q10 Pro at a very good price. I will continue to monitor it because I gave it to a colleague and I want him to have the best experience he can get on the GT1.
You could get a GT1 for Free

Ugoos kernel, sorry for now my kernel have some problems with this ATV framework(Hard Lock) and still trying to figure it out where is the problem!
Android TV Version
Spoofed as MIBOX3 International

Ported the new added stuff from ugoos AM3 1.0.0 rom(Thks ugoos for the nice work) that includes:

DEFAULT UNROOTED
Bugs SCV9-ATV:
On 1º boot when you setup in english language the on screen keyboard may not show when you going to put you wifi password, to fix it go back and change to another language go to the wifi password click it to show the on screen keyboard when it shows go back to the language selection screen and choose english again and it should be ok now on the wifi password. YOU ONLY NEED TO DO THIS ONCE!
Only update "su" if you are going to to stay at root if are not going to stay at root and you are going to be doing a lot of changes between the two dont update it! Or you will get a boot animation loop...
Ugoos Firefly after you enable it and reboot still says its off but its not true, its on!
Google cast dont work(missing Widevine L1), use ugoos Firefly for casting videos and pics of your phone to the tvbox.
