Not working wifi and bluetooth - G3 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

My LG G3 wifi and bluetooth stucked at turning on. Tried factory reset and flashed the ROM but still not working. Have not tried changing to another Kernel yet, you know one? Could it be hardware problem? I read Marshmallow update would be the solution...or install another rom. Please someone give a solution

What kind of professional tools are we referring here?

probably a hardware issue...
Hi there!
First of all, someone in the forums mentioned that this (your) problem could be caused by the battery, that changing the battery may solve the issue.
Second, I had the same problem on my G2 and I believe this sort of problem occurs mostly on all kind of LG devices. I wrote a detailed post of what I have researched, you might want to check it out here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/general/help/qa-wifi-stuck-mac-020000000000-g2-g3-g4-t3452133
Good luck!

i heatead the wifi antenna at 180°C and now are working !!

Cingular 8125 HELP!!!

Okay I need some major help. During an exhaustive search to find out why my Cingular 8125 does not have BT Stereo capabilities I found this forum. According to a couple of threads the v2.17 ROM Upgrade should fix this issue. Well I ran the upgrade and not only do I still not have the wireless stereo, but under my device information....my ROM version is showing 1.8.11.1 WWE....NOT 2.17. I dont know what to do......does anyone have any ideas? In addition I cannot find a thread that tells me how to unlock my SIM. My model number is WIZA100.

As far as the ROM flashing goes - I had a similar problem where the OS ROM wasn't updating. Mine was from one summiter ROM version to another, but I found that flashing back to the original Cingular ROM (using summiter's stock 1.8 Cingular ROM) and then flashing with the 2.17 ROM worked.
Thanks CameronJ....so, did you run the add on seperate from the ROM upgrade in order to the A2DP working? According to summiter, the 2.17 upgrade was supposed to include the A2DP. Ah well....I will try the addon and see if that works for me. Thanks again.
I actually don't really care about A2DP - I don't use my phone for listening to music - so I can't help you with that question unfortunately.
Same issue
I have the same problem but doing as you said did not correct it. Any ideas what I might be doing wrong?

Your problem is with the OS upgrade not taking? Are you sure that you have unlocked your phone? What's your current OS version?

red button as well as "end" do not work after ROM update

Hi community - I updated to VP3G and now either the red button nor the end button finishes the call - this is bad - any idea what I can do ?

Tough to answer with any certainty without knowing more details. Could be your radio - I had that same problem with some radios. Since going with this ROM I have not had the problem. Also what apps do you have loaded?
Mark.
peter, it is something you have done as no one else has had this issue.
What radio? What software have you installed? Using a different Dialer? Hard reset?
We need more information besides "it doesn't work".
And as long as we're giving advice, this forum prefers possible concerns or issues be posted in the already available thread.
For example; if you're having problems with Black Majik, no need to start another thread, just post in the already available thread.
Thanks
Berd
Yes first I thought it is the radio so I switched to Radio 1.43 but the problem is still there. Now I found out it is more the case when I`m connected via GPRS that the button as well as the "end" software button dòn`t work ...
Applications which I use - no extra phon software, but magic button or the as follows: sk software, skype, sprite backup, webis etc.
It's your hardware controller card, gone bad. After some time all of your front button will stop responding. I had the same problem, sent to Dopod service center and got it fixed.
Its not any of ROM issues what so ever. Its a common defect of some earlier batch, as told by the techies at the Service Center.

Heh, I made the same assertion once and was told on no uncertain terms that I was wrong.
It seems that it is not the hardware because it is wonderful working when I`m not online with GPRS or 3G !
So what elese can I do ? Should I try another ROM or can I just install an updated file for the GPRS issue ?
PLs help
please remember this is a Dev forum and I believe you answered your own question try flashing another ROM and see if that fixes it. I have no idea about updated GPRS software - you mean a radio ROM? just flash another OS and see if that works its not a problem with 3Gvp's rom but maybe you had a bad flash

Hmmm... that's an interesting twist on the problem I've never heard before. I would suggest a) hard reset b) reflash my ROM c) flash another ROM. I'd probably also go with a Cingular version of the radio for now ... 1.40 or 1.48.
VP - shouldn`t I start with a new radio rom version before I reinstall your ROM ??? At the moment I`m using the 1.43 version
Up to you, but I thought you said you'd already changed radios. I'd probably go for the hard reset and see if it works before installing anything else.
Hi VP, your advice worked - I changed to ROM 1.48 and now when I dial the online connection is stopped and reactivated after the phon call.
THANK you so much !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Best regards
from Germany
Active Sync Error
VP - it´s again me - pls can you look at my problem: My Tytn is telling me -in the meantime several times a day -that I have to resynchronize and after I got the warning to resynchronize there comes the next warning that there is no IP number !

BT issue on Schap's WM6 Pro 3.54b

Hi all,
I've upgraded my HTC hermes to this *nice* ROM. I'm having some issues with BT. It seems configuration stay in a read only mode. Every time I change the config (for example "enable file sharing") , next time I enable BT it's not keeping the options...For example..every time I start tomtom I have to type the security code for the BT receiver. Everytime...it just loose it all the times. Is there a workaround?
anyone using Scap's rom is having this issue?

yeah this is generally known. I had a problem too with BT, so I reflashed to the org. HTC WM6.0 ROM.There isn't a fix. Use a later version of Schaps ROM.
Thereby you already ask the same question here Like my experience is there too. Why start a new thread again?
Is this a known issue? I've search but found nothing on this...I don't want to upgrade to latest Schap's rom cause there is just 2 supported languages...

Read the thread you post your message before about the 3.54b ROM.
No man you failed to read my post. I don't have of these issues. I don't have any dutch version. I don't get any bluetooth disconnection. I don't have any crash activating BT or deactivating bt. I work perfectly BUT BT pairing doesn't keep the passkey! So everytime I have to manually provide it...

OMG. Seems you don't understand. Compared to the issues posted in that thread, bt for me is working. NO crash, file transfer it's ok and so on...Do you see any user reporting an issue for rom loosing the passkey? NO

I understand perfectly what the problem is. I don't understand why you have to start another thread if you have ask that same question in 2 different relevant threads, in English and Italian.I am now gonna unsubscribe this thread now.
Lets face it, that is a very old ROM and if you can't find previous mentioned issues in the original ROM thread then you're probably not going to get any solutions. There is hardly anybody still using that ROM who still visits this forum.
Hard reset or reinstall the ROM see if that changes anything, use a newer ROM or just live with it.

Hendrixus, the problem is that you never understood what my issue was and you started with this "read this read here read that". So please don't start questioning about threads. Do you mind if I reply to one user reporting the same issue? Seen Wam? Se replied with a clear answer READING what I wrote.

And I found out that also some users with the mAdkoE ROM reported the same problem...

[A] MIUI MARANGE 2.6.8 Wlan Problem

Hi to everyone! Installing this beautiful ROM (it has happen only in this version) I had a lot of problem; one of this is that is the "Wlan turning on"!!!!
In few words, the Wlan doesn't start; the switch became "I" for only a second and come back to"0"; in the mean time, nothing happen!!!! (Only the screen that freeze to "Wlan turning on" white screen).
I tried a lot of installation configuration and I solved NOT Installing the Dictionary Patch....I deduced it by myself. (For me no Dhcp or Adhoc needed.... those hadn't solved my problem during my tests)
Hope it's useful!!! Matteo.rek
ps. Thanks to Marshes for this wonderful porting!!
using stock hboot resolves wlan issues, i think its mentioned in dev thread,

You're right!
Installing the "dictionary patch" the system go out of memory; I've solved avoiding to install it, but the real solution at the moment seems to be the Stock Hboot!
Thanks Yasir!

WiFi problem with Miui v.4.0.4

Hey guys!
I have just installed MIUI ICS 4.0.4 by Marange on my HTC Desire.
Just as previous version, it is not able to find my wireless modem signal.
I have switched between a range of channels (1-14 one by one) and regions over modem console, but problem still remains
I also tested the solution explained by dk_zero-cool , here, but it didn't work as well.
Does anybody know how to solve this issue?
I had a problem similar to yours with Sandvolds Rom. During install I could choose between two DHCP-Clients, with the first one I didn't get a connection to my wlan, the second one worked...

Thanks dude,
But I could fix it temporary by changing the wifi_coumtry_code into 'JP'
instead of default one in secure table inside /data/data/com.android.providers.settings/databases/settings.db
The bad point is, each time phone restarts, i should set it again.
Is there any way to write a script for that?
P.S: You live in Stuttgart yes?!
I am about to head off to Stuttgart in September, and am going to stay there for 2 years. Which mobile provider do you suggest me to use? Thank you...
Maybe you should try to change the Radio,I use the 5.14.05.17.
