Hey guys, recently bought a N910V 'GSM unlocked' from the US to NZ so I can save myself a bit of money. Holy **** i was wrong.
I've spent 3 days so far trying to fix it because of no signal, carrier searching error etc.
Its currently Boot loader unlocked, Custom ROM installed, Modem flashed. Still nothing :crying:
Only thing left I can think of is messing with CSC, EFS, QCN (started learning 3 days ago so pls excuse my newbiness :silly: )
Could someone with experience please point me in the right direction and pull me out of this world of trouble?
p.s IMEI is clean and I haven't deleted any partitions.

Do you need a sim card for the carrier you're trying to use?

Yes i do. i have been trying with two different carriers/sim.
Do you have the proper APN?

Apparently you need to activate the phone with a verizon sim card first before any other gsm cards will work in it.
Sim just arrived and nope still no signal even with factory reset activating it with a verizon sim

Ok, so you have a RHOD500 which is a CDMA device first and a GSM device second.
What I mean by this, is if you're using for GSM in the US, then you have to get the SIM slot unlocked.
Installing Android will do nothing at all, whatsoever to your SIM - so lets just leave that on the side.
With all that said, if your SIM worked before I'm really not quite sure what could have changed to break it. The SIM unlock I was talking about earlier wouldn't apply, if the exact same SIM worked previously.
So perhaps explain in detail what you've done and what you're trying to do. Have you changed carriers? SIM's? Anything like that? Does it work on the stock ROM?

Ah makes sense, I didn't even think about suggesting that. Enjoy!
Most roms will not load a radio, but a few will. Perhaps when you reloaded your rom changed the radio out. it If you watch the white screen during a rom load it will usually tell you what it is loading. I have some nhb files that will only change the boot screen art. So it is possible to mix and match what is loaded.
Glad you found the issue.

Hey guys, this is my first post. I am very desperate and nothing seems to be working.
I have a Tmobile Galaxy s4 SGH-M919 On the version 4.4.2
The baseband is m919UVUFNB4
I tried a bunch of methods Including the
ww.droidviews. com/sim-unlock-t-mobile-galaxy-s4-android-4-4-2-kitkat-firmware/
ww.droidviews. com/how-to-unlock-sim-locked-samsung-galaxy-s4-gt-i9500-and-gt-i9505-for-free/
Where i flash the NB4 For the AMDL to get to the service menu and change the PERSO SHA256 thing to off.
This didnt work, and something i noticed, ( I dont know if this is supposed to be like this or not) but when they tell me to do the NV rebuild thing, i checked the menu and the PERSO SHA256 goes back on after the NV rebuild backup. So wtf.
So i reset my phone and root it and tried the region unlock. No luck there either, was really hoping.
So can someone please tell me what i need to do exactly step by step to unlock this damn phone. I'm currently live in russia ( for school), so i bought a sim card already but cant use it since it keeps saying invalid sim card, prompting me for the sim unlock code.
I dont know if maybe i did something wrong, like not having the sim card in at some steps or having it in, or if i should combine the steps.
Oh and can someone verify the NV Rebuild thing? Is it supposed to go back to (1) after the NV rebuild backup?
Also, is there a method where i can maybe go to 4.2.2 and do the unlock and then go back to 4.4.2?
Please someone help me. This is killing me, and ive been spending way too many hours in these days messing around with this phone.
Hi all. I have G3 bought from my carrier it is on stock lolipop recieved over the OTA. Only thing I was messing with it is TWRP and root.. As I thought it is sim locked I put another carrier sim in it. It boots without asking me for sim unlock code but can not connect to network and not allow me to enter network settings to o it manually ( it is greyed out ). The other sim works fine in another unlocked android phone.
Someone have an idea what is going on??
I have no idea. Sorry man

I had my share of rooting and installing custom recoveries and ROM-s for a long time, so my current thought is, is it possible that it is just software locked somehow?
I never saw this before..
Solved the problem, it was built in the Rom provided by my carrier "Vip.rs" grab my hand on new Sim card of different carrier on Fulmics 3.1 and it is carrier free. Just to tell you, if more people in Serbia have the same problem.
Hi all, I use Sprint Note 4, but I'm unlocked sim to use Cricket. I understand that by doing SCRTN resets the device to like new before service. So my question is, is it safe for me to do this? Will it affect my sim unlock or IMEI or EFS folder?
Any info will be appreciated, thanks.

Thanks,
I could always unlock it again. My big concern was my IMEI and EFS folder.
I'm not currently going to do it. I have no need to, but was just trying to understand it more. In case I was to sell phone and reset it.
Thanks for your reply
Hey guys I havnt been on here in a long time had to make a new name, couldnt remember my old name. Anyway I have been researching non stop and I am still confuesed on what firmware file I need to download....
So here is my problem. I just bought a very nice s9 off my boss. he has had it on verizon for years. he upgraded to the s22 so i bought his old phone for $100. We called verizon and had the sim card unlocked. I restarted the phone and installed the sim card out of my Blu View 3 running on Straight Talk...Phone said new Sim need to restart the phone, so I did. Once it was back on everything appeared to be fine such as the phone having my phone number in the about phone section and I was able to make calls. The problem is that my data will not work...No internet. So I began researching and found out that I need to flash the firmware from G960U to G960U1...This is where I get confused...I was unsure If I am supposed to flash a Verizon version of the firmware since the phone is verizon, Or am i supposed to flash a tracphone varriet? I researched more and I think I am supposed to flash the XAA CSC one so that it wont have any carrier info on it and i think then insert my straight talk sim and it should be good??? idk. So I was searching for the XAA firmware download which i think is supposed to look something like G960U1UEU......But I cannot find the one with the correct bootloader version I think it is? In my S9 for build number it says G960USQU9FVB2. So am I right in thinking that i need the firmware to have a 9 in it? Can someone please guide me in the right direction please...I feel lost...
