WhatsApp - Frequent Chat history corruption - OnePlus 3 Questions & Answers

Hey,
So I have only rooted and unloacked this device but recently there are frequent whatsapp chat history corrupt errors which usually result in losing most of the recent conversations.
I am using greenify but whatsapp is not in the hibernation list. Can anyone please help?

Make a backup of your chats. Go to settings /apps/whatsapp /storage and click on "delete data", then open whataspp and try it again. If it doesn't work yet, uninstall and reinstall whataspp again. It should work in this way.

That will result in losing all backups and chat history?

You should make a backup before deleting data. After rebooting, whataspp will charge your last backup

Not at all. Even if you uninstall the app, the backup will be kept in a folder inside internal memory. When you install it again, whatsapp will recover automatically your last backup

Okay, I did that as it was the only way to go since whatsapp wouldn't open now, it kept asking for restoration of backup again and again, it was kind of in loop. So, I had to delete data and uninstall. its stable now but lets see.

P8000 no network signal

Hello guys. i´m from portugal. i bought a P8000, I insert the sim card and when i turn on the phone, he does not have network signal.....Can you help me? do i need to configure something?
Thanks
You get it to work ?
buen día compre un elephone p8000 y no agarra red, simplemente dice sin servicio, que puedo hacer??
Did it come like that from factory?! Or did you install anything on it before trying?
My guesses would be that either you have a faulty device, or you have a faulty SIM. Try using a different SIM on it!!
If you installed anything on it (like a ROM, for example), I would try reflashing from scratch.
Regards.
that have version a and b ,,,you make sure that device version work with your carrier

if you just insert the sim and turn it on . the mobile data cant work.. you have to enable mobile data in settings/data usage/ your provider / enable mobile data!
and look at your baseband. does it say something with .......p10 at the end? (settings/info)
if yes i can provide you a solution

flash my eragon rom and it will be fine
I have a similar issue and have tried the Eragon ROM (and other stock ROMS) - none of which solve the problem.
Some screenshots to show what is going on. The SIM is fine in another phone. Other working SIMS do the same in this P8000.
Really need some help with this. It was all working perfectly up until the recent OTA and a factory reset.

Hi,
I've tried that already and it did not work. I may have killed the NVRAM.bin in doing so. Would that give me this problem?
Thanks.

Yes. If the nvram is killed you need to restore your imei via engineering mode
Gesendet von meinem P8000 mit Tapatalk
IMEI have been restored via engineering mode - still can't get a mobile signal - it finds networks, but will not connect.
---------- Post added at 11:18 AM ---------- Previous post was at 11:01 AM ----------
When the IMEI are back in place, does that mean that the NVRAM is back to normal?

Yes ..should be.
Have you rebooted after you restored?
Gesendet von meinem P8000 mit Tapatalk
Yep - rebooted and then rechecked using engineer mode to make sure that the IMEI were still there. They are there, but I get no connection to the mobile network. It finds the network but I get the "Can't connect to the network right now. Try again later." message

Doesn't work Miracast/Screencast on rooted Devices or Custom-Roms?

Hello, maybe anybody here can help me...
I have a Microsoft Miracast-Display-Adapter connected with my LG TV which worked perfectly on offical p600 KitKat 4.4.2 Rom (unrooted), but I don't find a way to use it with other Roms. It doesn't work on Hyperdrive KK 5.1 Rom (after clicking on Screen Mirroring the window closes), on Temaseks cm 12.1 Rom (it starts to connect, but then fail) and even with the official Lollipop 5.1.1 release (rooted) by Samsung I get the message, that there is a hardware problem.
I'am very frustrated and now I went back to cm 12.1 by temasek.
Someone wrote in a forum that it could depending on Knox, but on cm it also won't work.
Is it maybe a general problem by Lollipop?
Has anybody the same problem with his p600?
No, i think the problem is caused for the custom recovery.
Anyone knows if i change the custom recovery for the original one, make me loose the root ?

Thanks, but i found a solution for the screen mirroring problem just before 5 hours.^^
It is a general bug with rooted samsung devices.
I had to change something in the system folder and now everything works perfectly.
Here is a video tutorial to fix this problem: https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=A0JqRf6sygM
Can you say me these instruccions?

If you have uninstalled Hiboard, then installed Google feed and THEN update the firmware, well the Google feed is gone. And Hiboard as well.
Or better....Hiboard has been disabled only. I assume you have "uninstalled" (disabled) Hisuite via ADB commands (usb debug enabled). Then installed Google feed and everything was fine.
But, I think, then you update the firmware via OTA and both are gone.
If this is the case, then you have to re-enable Hisuite (via ADB commands) and then re-do the procedure to replace it with Google feed.
And you have to do this every time you perform a firmware update (OTA)....

thank you for the reply... and interest...
I have factory reset the device now... after updating to 9.1.0.127(C00E127R2P1)
and Like a new device, I started configuring & installing the google apps.
then uninstalled the hiboard, and I can see the google feed option in "home screen settings" I have switched ON the google feed.
but nothings happening, google feed doesn't start.
whenever I restart the phone, the google feed gets auto switched off in the "Home screen settings"
:crying::crying::crying:
also.
I used the Dload method to update my phone... now the build number has been changed.
my build numbers changed ( from R1P17 to R2P1 )
PREVIOUS build Number = 9.1.0.123(C00E121R1P17)
NOW build Number = 9.1.0.127(C00E127R2P1) ( after DLOAD method of updating )
I tried to use the System recovery via Hi-suit to fall back to 9.1.0.123 and it has been downloading ( 9.1.0.123 "R2P1" ) which is different build... but reverting back to 9.1.0.123 failed as not compatible.
so I am now running at 9.1.0.127(C00E127R2P1) everything is fine except the Google feed. which I tried a hard reset and reconfiguring the phone but unlucky it is not working !!
except google feed, I don't find any other issues. Yes, the build number also changed...
