Long story short I wanna buy a tripod for my HTC 10 and maybe use it with a DSLR that I m going to buy later this year. Any suggestions?
I bought this adapter: https://www.teknikmagasinet.se/till...nBr_9vmvRkgNdqJycjY6yYwBLXX30l54lIaAoL48P8HAQ
And now I can use the phone with any regular camera tripod.
I personally have the Gorillapod Hybrid from Joby along with the same "adapter" as @ro_explorer is using. Works great, can fully recommend both of those products.
But if you wish to use a full blown DSLR on it as well, you'd probably want a beefier Gorillapod, maybe the SLR Zoom or even the Focus.
The Hybrid one can support 1kg of weight where as the big boys can do 3kg and 5kg respectively.
Here's a nice flow chart of the different models they have available
Joby also has their own smartphone adapter, the Griptight and Griptight Pro. The Griptight isn't anything to write home about (about same as the one I have) but the Pro one looks much better.
If you end up buying a Gorillapod, I'd recommend you to buy another one of those quick release adapters so you can have one quick release adapter on the smartphone adapter and another one attached to your DSLR.
And do make sure you buy a Gorillapod which has the ballhead, makes lining up your shots so, so much easier. Hybrid has an integrated ballhead where as for the SLR Zoom and Focus they are optional.

Picked this thing up from Amazon for right at 100 bucks shipped. It comes with a bracket that allows you to use it with a case (although it does not specify which case) still on the tablet. It sure doesn't work with the Motorola case that I have which I believe is the standard hard case that transforms into a stand.
Pros:
Sound quality is amazing. Really took me by surprise
HDMI out port
Cons:
Docking is not as easy as it should be, but not nearly as difficult at some of the reviews on Amazon say. Line up the dots, get the right angle and it drops right in.
The angle at which it sits in the dock should be adjustable but its not and its pretty steep
I imagine Bose will come out with a $199 or more version, but I don't see the sound surpassing this one by much if any.
Overall i'd give it an 8 out of 10
Thanks, for the quick review, any chance of some shots? Thanks.

Yeah i can do that....
So was it worth the coin?
I don't get any more than 720p through HDMI port on the XOOM itself and I'm uncertain whether that is even normal operation. I imagine this limitation still persists with the HD dock too? Been curious if Motorola locked the output to 720p in software. Then when it detects it is connected through the HD dock, 1080p output is enabled?
I have noticed Samsung came out with a camera phone in a more literal sense. But, I'm curious as to why the custom lenses are not a more popular item? Being able to change out the lens on my phone as I need to would add a huge level of customization and not too mention make the companies more money. Especially for well made premium lenses.
We've all seen the clips and attachments on Amazon or other websites. But, none of them are really thought out well. The clip moves around easily. The cases are ugly and useless for anyone who wants a protective case.
A lot of the lenses have defects even if they are small. Sure these items are cheap. But, that is my point. I spent some time looking and always got sent back to these ones. There's no higher end models nothing. I'd assume that would be because this idea is perceived as gimmicky. But, it's really not. Give me the ability to take a small plastic ring off my phone around the camera and attach my own custom lenses. You could charge oodles for higher tier lenses too.
Would reduce all the stuff I have to carry around with me everywhere for my camera.
Any thoughts as to why they don't support or carry their own custom lenses? The camera being an important feature for many of us on our phones. An improvement/addition like this I cannot see anything but perks of.
you should check sony qx10 and qx100
Either you have to carry your phone in a case with the lens attached, or take it out of your pocket and put on a lens each time you want to use it. Much easier to use a zoom-enabled digital camera, and the quality of photos is between better and much better. I always wondered why are they even produced. Yeah, I use my phone camera once in a while, but if I care enough to take a photo, I have a Canon rebel.
Hello all,
I have became curious about this technology and wanted some feedback and recommendations on which one is best for our phone, my main use will probably be, movies and a little of gaming.
Thanks...:good:
Howdy,
I bought a cheap 20 Euro VR headset and also the Homido VR headset which cost me 80 euro and I ended up selling the Homido! simply because the screen is placed way to close and it's horribly pixilated which I was soooo disappointed about :crying:

Go for something like this, not much pixelation and cheap to buy :good:
The Homido VR did have better FOV and overall was of better 3D quality due to it having nice Optics for it. I would go for something like I showed you but find something with good lenses for an overall better 3D experience ^^
Thanks for the suggestion.
I made the Google Cardboard one to see if I would like it before I invest in it and I loved it so I will be buying a more advanced pair. I saw some on Ebay that had bluetooth remote for $28 free shipping

I got a cardboard V2 and it works very well
I picked up the View-Master goggles (like Cardboard v2 but plastic construction) when they were on sale for $20 a week (or so) ago. I'm using them with my Zenfone 2 with good results.
A couple thoughts though:
- I'd recommend Bluetooth headphones with this - the headphone cord will be pinched by the closure if you are using wired. You can also hear the built-in speakers through gaps in the case, but you lose stereo effects.
- It is a bit heavy on the nose - I find it is more comfortable pushed up higher on my face.
- They are really cool & I do recommend them.
I went through (and discarded) a few movie apps before settling on "VRTV free". Some of the others had more difficult controls and didn't seem to get the spacing right for the 3D effect (very obvious on text where it was "double vision" instead of 3D). VRTV has a virtual theater mode for 2d movies and then 180 & 360 modes for 3d files. It also has a "re-center" command which is important since I am getting some gyro drift (in fact I came here looking for some sort of calibration app).
Hello, I' here yet again with another set of questions!
I am planning on using my OP3T to make short movies. It has a great powerful camera competing Galaxy S8 and Iphone7 so why not use it, right?
I am currently looking for rather cheap but quality equipment such as mounts and lenses. (I own a tripod, light and mic already).
I came across some really cheap stuff on ebay: Flexible tripod, 5-in-1 lens set, 8-in-1 lens set...
I have no expirience with those lenses... Are those clip ons any good? Could someone point me to the ones you think are the best sets?
I've been searching alot and i don't wanna buy some crap, so any shared expirience will be greatly appreciated!
Thanks in advance!
I have some really cheap clip on lens and they're of really bad quality. The lens used is very bad. If you want good ones maybe buy Aukey or Mpow lens. Btw the wide angle and 12x lens are kinda okay. Fisheye is really bad. Macro was the best out of them.
Sorry I'm afraid your wrong go for the s7 edge if you want to make small films

For the last 7 years I've been keeping notes in my mobiles, sometimes with better, sometimes with worse results. My previous device was the Samsung Note 4, after which my note-keeping standards reached new heights. Now that I switched to an LG G6, I tried to find a decent alternative. I tried a simple one, one of those Adonit Jot knockoffs and the results were near perfect, in terms of writing, but the transparent disc at the tip is distracting. My next purchase was a cheap USB-powered active stylus, and it was also perfect, but the need for charging kept me from carrying it with me. So I bought the Gosin.
First of all, its built quality is absolutely great, it feels like an ordinary, good quality pen in terms of weight and materials. Its handling is also identical to a heavy, good pen, which makes writing on screen even more similar to writing on paper. Its main difference is that it's powered by an AAA battery and that makes it very independent. You just have to carry one more spare battery in your bag and you have enough energy for days of writing.
One other feature that actually works is its adjustable power. I tried the stylus on my notorious Xiaomi MiPad and on low power the results were terrible, as usual. When I turned the power on, my writings were actually usable. Keep in mind that the first and most important factor in note taking on mobile devices is the device's Digitizer. A good digitizer can make note taking a whole lot easier. Are there any cons? Just one, the battery cap is plastic, I'd surely prefer a metal one.
Bottom line, this is a great active stylus. It works very well, it feels great in hand and is power independent.
Hello. Can you "actually" write notes comfortably on the G6 with this pen?

Hi, as I said, you can actually write notes on G6 with every stylus, at least those three I have tried. All three were great, I have never missed a single dot. G6's digitizer is very sensitive and works great. The sample I uploaded was all written on a single try and, as you can see, even the finest line has been put on the screen.
The Gosin is great for me because it feels like a real pen in my hand, it uses an AAA battery and has a very fine tip compared to those with a disc on the tip. It's more expensive than other solutions though, so I'd recommend that you first tried a cheap one and if it suits you, then buy the Gosin.
I have had styluses recommended that were as fine tipped as a rolling pin. I could see from your samples it obviously looks great - and isn't a rolling pin - but had to ask. Thank you very much for the review.
