Airplane mode will not turn off - One (M9) Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hi all, I've been battling this problem for days now. Airplanr mode is stuck 'Turning off...' and wont connect to my mobile carrier. Things I've tried:
Restarting phone with and without SIM inserted
Factory reset from settings
Factory reset from recovery mode
Flashed to the same build twice using the flash from SD card method (build 3.36.709.3)
Turned airplane mode on and off with wifi/mobile data/NFC turned on or off
I have no idea what to do next. I doubt it's a hardware problem as the phone detects the sim card when I put it in and asks if it's O2 pay and go or pay monthly, so it can even read it, it's just the phone wont come out of airplane mode.
I am on holiday without a PC but feel free to post ideas that requires one. Device is currently S-on and unrooted. I would rather not root or s-off the device just yet, and would rather stay on stock ROM as it's still in warranty. Problem is, it's in the UK and the warranty is held in Taiwan, which means sending it internationally to get it fixed. It's also a problem as there is a language barrier between me and their support for phone calls and their live chat button appears to always be greyed out.
Edit: I found this for the M8 which I think is in the right direction:
"Even I started thinking same way but it wasn't hardware issue.
I used ##786# to reset the phone completly (it did asked me my MSL/SPC) and everything was wiped from the phone. ( I am sure this reset is different from normal factory reset)
now my phone is up and I can toggle Airplane Mode On & Off however now there is another thing which I came accross
1. No roaming option or extended options in "Mobile Data" option under Wireless & Settings
2. No Network Sharing option
Even tried after running RUU_M8_WHL_K44_SENSE60_SPCS_MR_Sprint_WWE_Harman_2 .16.654.4_R2_Radio_1.08.20.0612_4_NV_SPCS_1.52_003 _release_384670_signed_2"
How do I do this with the M9? aLogcat comes back with no MSL so I need a free unrooted way to get that, and that # code doesn't do anything on the M9 either!
Edit2: Tried*#*#4636#*#*
Option is there to turn on the radio, but pressing it does nothing. Changing preffered network type does nothing either (I select any option from the drop down and the original choice remains). SIM is with O2. Currently set to GSM/WCDMA/LTE
Please help -_-

damn you really tried an m8 RUU on M9? please don't be stupid! it will never work lol. is your phone unlocked, so you could flash twrp recovery? otherwise you need to find a RUU matching your mainversion/CID. but this time not from m8 lol

The M8 RUU was a quote from someone having the same issue on their M8. Sorry if that wasn't very clear. I am running a fresh M9 latest RUU, I'm not dumb enough to put an M8 RUU on it and the stock flash utility (download mode) isn't either.

I still haven't found a solution to this. Can anyone help?

tried in *#*#4636#*#* on the menu button the frequency option? if you are fully stock, ask HTC, if they have no other fix, send it for warranty

I've tried everything in that screen. Here is what I have also tried today:
Bootloader unlocked
Custom recovery installed
Rooted
Model number and CID changed to developer model
Developer rom installed (android lollipop) same problem
Latest developer edition firmware installed
ViperOne 4.3 installed, same problem
Cryno... Something... I forget the name, but another custom rom installed, same problem.
It's fair to say that the problem is probably hardware related. The SIM card is detected, but the radio willnot turn on. In this instance, what is the most likely hardware cause? Is it worth replacing the sim card reader or is it more likely to be a chipset issue? I would be happier replacing the sim reader if the sim was not detected at all.
Btw, all the custom software stuff was done because HTC Taiwan said they wouldn't touch it. According to them it's out of warranty even though UK support say it's in warranty with the taiwan support centre.

[Q] Simlock on bootloader function??

Hi, I have a question about the simlock option on the bootloader screen of my Desire HD, unbranded and fully rooted & have sucessfully done HBoot.
After installing a new radio (i'm still trying to figure out which one is best for me) via the PD98IMG.zip method, as opposed to pushing a .img file to the phone, I decided to have a look around the bootloader menu as I have not really done so since having the phone.
I (foolishly?) clicked on the Simlock option on the bootloader thinking it would take me to another menu. Something happened, but then the only option was to reboot the phone (no error messages). What does this actually do, as it is not very clear? Is my phone now simlocked to a network?
I'd appreciate an answer, thanks.
does anybody have an answer?
It does not do anything unless you have just the correct files in your SD card that define the network and so on. Only service centers and network providers have such files. So you are fine, nothing bad happened.
thanks very much

IMEI unknown, but phone working normally

Hi folks,
strange issue, I bought the HTC One X locked to our network, from another guy. It was rooted via HTC dev with Mike's revolution over it. Everything was ok, except it was locked to a network I dont want to use with.
So I tried with HTCSimUnlock.com, purchased unlock code, received it instantly, and tried several times to insert it. But every time, display showed "unknown password" and no luck.
What I discovered when I took to record the procedure of unsuccessful inserting the code to claim for money back, was that imei number is missing, and actually in the settings imei showe as "unknown". The most interesting thing is that phone is working normally, with of course, sim card from the network that the phone is locked to.
I wrote to HTCSimUnlock.com ,and waiting for the answer, but I dont know should I do something, try to get the RUU back to stock rom, or hard reset, but am little afraid that phone could stop working...

you could try the hard reset or RUU. whether the phone will stop working or not, i personally would try it, but you make your own choice. its a risk best thing i can suggest is play it safe, sell it on and get an unbranded one
How could you buy a unlock code without IMEI in the first place? And secondly, if you reboot into bootloader and choose "show barcode" then I guess there is a IMEI? In that case, just try a new rom, or better yet a ruu.
Download the appropriate Ruu and update it, this is a common issue on the S2 as well with ics during flashing, possibly someone updated it before you and it didnt go according to plan.
first time i have come across IMEI known, i know the serial number came back unkown once, try the RUU, like i said i dont think it will mess up your phone because your restoring it to factory conditions obviously.

no, imei was there in the first place, and after my attempt to unlock it, it dissapeared...
Then, I listened to you, and went to barcode, and imei was there normally.
Now, when I bootup, imei is here! Crazy staff...thanks...I really dont understand what happened...

[Q] Problem with phone already activated on VERIZON INC2

Dear All
first of all, sorry for my bad language.
my problem started when i purchased an used Inc2 from swappa, i am expert in flashing ROMs for HTC phones.
when i got the phone, i s-off, installed recovery and installed custom ROM supports GSM, as i am living outside USA, and everything was good (GSM and data)
one day, suddenly the phone was not able to get a H data, only E, so i decided to factory reset to solve the problem, i return to stock ROM using RUU, then when i turn it on for the first time i discovered that its still connected to verizon Network and gave me a roaming signal, i know nothing about verizon network or how to disconnect my phone from their service.
don't tell me to contact the original owner, because i purchased this phone more than one year ago and i totally forgot from whom i toke it.
THE MAIN PROBLEM NOW, every time i insert my local SIM, the phone switch from roaming mode (CMDA) to global mode (GSM), which is OK, but when i receive or make a call, it restarts automatically !!!!
i had tried all the ROM, RUU, radios in the development section, with no hope, so, i think the problem is occur from the conflict between CMDA signal an GSM signal!!!???!! or something else, so i guess the first thing i have to do is disconnect the verizon service, BUT HOW?? somebody please help me
any thoughts folks?
Can you post your phone's settings, mainly the ones under "About Phone" including kernel, mobile network type, service state & software information, etc.?
With a local Sim card, it is possible that you device would boot up & switch to Global Mode (by default) with preference for CDMA, but you should be able to manually change it & semi-lock it to GSM only? What happens when you tried that?
There is a # of GSM only Rom that you can flash, assuming you've rooted it again & maintained S-Off with a custom recovery re-installed - and, that it was properly Sim unlocked.
Im on GSM with chilly's beanstalk 1.30 (4.2.2) and I have no problems, check if a wipe with antivenomSDW, helps.

Stuck on HTC load screen after attempted rooting

Recently got a sprint HTC One M8 to transfer my service to. Being a noob I thought this would be a simple process, so suffice to say 24 hours ago I didn't even know what APN settings were, and that's what launched me down this rabbit hole of trying to unlock my bootloader, flash a new recovery, and s-off my phone all so I can get to the damn APN settings. So I followed the "wonder how to bootloader unlock" instructions (2nd result if you google that phrase because I can't put links in here) almost exactly and got my bootloader unlocked successfully and rebooted with no issues. I downloaded superSU-2.79 onto my phone, downloaded twrp-3.0.2 to my computer and then flashed it. I forgot to clear my caches before booting and it got stuck on the HTC screen, so I rebooted it in recovery mode and wiped my caches (yes, including dalvik) and rebooted again with the same issue.
So now i'm kind of at a loss, I don't know if I should try to reflash with the sdcard method using the stock RUU or a TWRP file. I feel like I made some obvious fundamental mistake that I didn't recognize and well, I kinda need a working phone so any help would be greatly appreciated! :fingers-crossed:

Would any of those pose a problem with my s-on, I feel like I've seen comments here and there with conflicting views on flashing through twrp with s-on. I don't want to go back to started over with the sprint m8 RUU but I don't know what would be easier/more possible with my limited knowledge of this stuff

Can u post a pic of your bootloader screen .
Power off phone .
Press POWER+ VOLUME DOWN .
click pic and upload here .
If you are having s-off phone then be caution while flashing RUU . A GSM RUU can hardbrick your device .
Post a pic of bootloader i will post the links of the specific files .
If you dnt want to go through the RUU route then flashing a custom rom is best option now .

U have a sprint htc m8 ( Harman kardon edition).
The easiest option is download a stock rooted rom or a custom rom.
Stock rooted rom --(credits to @Captain_Throwback)
https://basketbuild.com/filedl/devs?_e_pi_=7,PAGE_ID10,6926975543
Procedure -
Same as custom rom.
There are many custom rom in ANDROID DEVELOPMENT SECTION . Download anyone and flash zip via recovery .
Procedure:-
Download custom rom zip
Reboot to recovery
Wipe - advance wipe - data, cache, dalvik, system
Install - select rom zip
If u want sprint ruu .( credits to @OMJ)
U have to relock bootloader for this to flash .
https://www.androidfilehost.com/?_e_pi_=7,PAGE_ID10,2505757169
Procedure:
Download RUU.
Rename to 0P6BIMG and place in root of SD card .
Reboot bootloader and Relock bootloader via fastboot commands .
Place sd card in phone
Again reboot to bootloader
It will automatically read the RUU.
Proceed with RUU.

Any conflicting view is simply incorrect. You do NOT need s-off to flash ROMs (with TWRP). Folks who say you need s-off are wrongly referencing older HTC devices (where you had to manually fastboot flash the kernel, or otherwise have s-off for the kernel to flash). Or the other exception is the Verizon version (which prohibits unlocking the bootloader via HTCDev.com, therefore s-off is required) which also does not apply to your device.
Thanks a bunch guys, I've been busy with work all weekend but I'm giving it a try today, I'll let you know how it goes. Also thanks for pointing me to an appropriate ROM, I was having trouble deciding what to use

Ooooohkay, so I eneded up downloading ViperOneM8_6.1.0 and installed it with no problems, phone booted up in like 45 seconds and seems to be working great. Now I'm trying to do the last bit of S-Offing the sona ***** with firewater and when i go to reboot it with adb i get this: "This adbd's $ADB_VENDOR_KEYS is not set; try 'adb kill-server' if that seems wrong.
Otherwise check for a confirmation dialog on your device." I've looked it up and tried to delete the adbkey.pub and adbkey under C:/Users/$Name/.android but it still comes up with the same message. Any suggestions?

firewater won't work, no matter what you do. firewater requires an online server component, which the devs took offline in December 2014. So the firewater method no longer works since then.
Currently, Sunshine ($25) is the only working s-off method.
But what exactly do you want s-off for? Most folks don't need it. You don't need s-off for flashing ROMs, kernel, root, or a great many other things (s-on is fine for those).

uh... oh, well that's one vital piece of knowledge i missed, didn't realize it was an online thing. That's what is so ridiculous about this, all i need to do is change my apn settings and name and switch to gsm to get access to my current provider's network and i'm having to do all this just to be able to access those settings and sim unlock my phone. If there's another way to get that done I haven't found it, being all locked up tight by Sprint and all. Feels like i'm taking a real scenic route to get to the destination.

Are you implying that accessing the APN settings will SIM unlock the phone? Or you are trying to SIM unlock the phone and also access the APN settings?
Not only are they 2 different things, but I don't believe s-off will help with either of them.
With Viper on the phone, you should be able to change the APN settings. Is that not what you are finding?
Also, no amount of changing the APN settings will result in anything, if the phone is SIM locked. There is not working mod to unlock the SIM. Your best bet is probably to buy the code from an online vendor (around $10).

No I know that won't sim unlock the phone, I already have a sim unlock code but can't get into the apn settings to put the thing into my phone, and no, calling any combination of *765# will not input it and my phone doesn't automatically ask for sim unlock code. I also thought that having viper would solve that problem, but when i go into my connections to change it the apn settings are still blanked out, unable to be selected. From what I understand, the S-ON status is keeping me from accessing those menus, like I said, scenic route there all to just change the apn.

I've never seen anyone enter a SIM unlock code through the APN menu. Maybe I'm missing something here, but I've never heard of anyone doing it that way.
Typical method, is when you insert another carrier's SIM, the phone will ask for the code. Are you saying you inserted your carrier's SIM (non-Sprint), and it didn't ask for the SIM unlock code?
You would probably then have to enter your carrier's APN info, in order to get cell internet service. But the SIM should work for voice and SMS without even touching the APN settings; as those only apply to cell internet/data.

So you can't add a new APN, and you are locked out from changing the individual settings on the existing APN (presumably Sprint APN).
The Sprint CDMA variant has some peculiarities, and I can't claim to know for sure. But on the GSM M8 versions, even if the APN settings for the carrier are locked (can't change the existing APN), you can usually still add a new APN. So its unusual to see the option (to add a new APN) locked out, especially on a custom ROM.

Last night after looking around some more I found out that this is a common problem with either the Sprint model or the Harmon Kardon edition, doesn't matter which in my case. The problem being the APN settings editing and saving, the proposed solution is to reboot your device until you get access (or factory reset which is what I did) and then using the back button instead of the save button (which deletes it...) and that actually allows you to save edits to the original APN or create a new APN. I however, have found that I am only able to edit the original and not add another, so I now have the correct APN settings in my phone for my carrier now but stil, STILL, cannot get the sim unlock code prompt to show up or find a way to enter my code. I know the two should be unrelated, but I was hoping fixing one would fix the other, like if I got the sim unlock code entered it would be able to save the APN settings or vice versa, especially with all the weird kinks this phone has. Could this all be as simple as a faulty sim card? I've only found a handful of people that have this sim card prompt issue with the M8 but it seems that about half of them got a new sim card and it worked and the other half just gave up, which I do not want to do.
Going back to your previous reply, yes my carrier's (straight talk) sim card is in the phone and no prompt. I can connect to wifi (if that's what you mean) but no calling, text, or mobile data. I expected that to be the case with the phone being sim locked, is that not what you mean?

Could be. It happens. Especially if its a new SIM, and you haven't validated (and/or not able to validate) it works in another device. Most carriers will give you a new SIM for free, so its worth doing. If nothing more, to at least eliminate as the problem.

Yeah, that is basically what I meant. You didn't explicitly say you had another carrier's (non-Sprint) SIM, and tried inserting it. I assumed you had; but its better to confirm the seemingly "obvious" in the event the issue is something easy.
Interesting heads up, and correcting myself a bit here:
Apparently, sunshine s-off includes SIM unlock. This is according to the sunshine developer, beaup starting at Post #4933 of the "Help" thread: https://forum.xda-developers.com/htc-one-m8/help/help-thread-htc-one-m8-questions-t2897783/page494
Surprised by this. Along with a few other very knowledgeable helpers (that you will see responded to beaups post), I also was not aware of this for the longest time.
So apparently, $25 for the sunshine app will get you s-off and SIM unlock.

Sunshine, of course, worked perfectly. After all of the trouble I had doing everything else I expected it to tell me some error message in the prescreening it does but I had no problems at all. I really wish I had known about this before I put all the time and effort into tying to do it myself, definitely worth the $25! Turns out Sprint is just REALLY good at making their phones locked up tighter than a nunnery. Thank you so much for your help red!

Radio issues among others

Could use some help. I've purchased a HTC 10 Sprint version on ebay. The seller said "This device is LOCKED to the Sprint network and cannot be unlocked to any other network." I did some research and felt this was inaccurate so bought it anyway. Then I proceeded to unlock bootloader, s-off, and SIM unlock using sunshine. I then installed stock WWE HTC rom. Everything seemed to work well except the cell radio. When I go into airplane mode the cell radio never turns off. I've gone into the dialer and inputed the code to view the radio info and when i press the turn off radio button, nothing happens. Additionally in the battery history the cell signal shows red even during the time i'm in airplane mode, meaning the radio is still on and going into airplane mode, in the settings page, the notification gets stuck on "airplane mode Turning on...".
Dunno what the issues is. Do i have the wrong firmware, radio, or is the radio simply dead? This is the only issue i have but as you can imagine, it's a pretty significant one. What I'd like is to have an unlocked stock ROM that allows me to change SIMs on demand once every 2 months or so as I have on my old htc m7. Any ideas? Could really use some help here. I'm at a loss. Definitely rusty as I haven't modded in like 2 years or so, but this is a new issue i haven't had before. Any help would be appreciated.
In case this helps. I started with
CID: spsc_001
MID: 2ps640000
Then changed to SuperCID and MID 2ps620000
(bootloader) kernel: lk
(bootloader) product: htc_pmeuhl
(bootloader) version: 1.0
(bootloader) max-download-size: 1579200000
(bootloader) serialno: HT64xxxx
(bootloader) current-slot:
(bootloader) imei: xxx
(bootloader) version-main: 2.41.401.3
(bootloader) boot-mode: download
(bootloader) version-baseband: [email protected]
(bootloader) version-bootloader: 1.0.0.0000
(bootloader) mid: 2PS620000
(bootloader) cid: 11111111
Should I be trying different radios, different firmware? No idea.

If you have some time to spare, erase the modems in bootloader:
fastboot erase modemst1
fastboot erase modemst2
Then install the Unlocked US rom downloaded from HTC - nowhere else. Get one for US Unlocked (AT&T or T-Mobile) or get one for your listed carrier.
http://www.htc.com/us/support/rom-downloads.html
Then do a factory reset.
Restart and see if the radio problems are gone.

Why AT&T or T-Mo? US Unlocked would be the best choice, and there is an RUU for that in your link.
Before you do that though @vijn, you'll have to change your MID to 2PS650000 of course
Thanks for your help guys. I erased the modems. Installed the only unlocked ROM available (http://www.htc.com/us/support/htc-10/news/) . There's definitely a difference. While I don't have a working SIM card in the phone, the Cell Network Signal is drawing much less power than before. I still can't turn off the cell radio. But now I have the option of selecting which preferred netwrok I want, which before was grayed out. So it's progress. What bothers me is:
1. I still can't turn off the cell radio with airplane mode or by clicking the Turn Off Radio button when accessing the phone info via *#*#4636#*#*
2. Airplane mode, when i toggle it in the settings "page" doesn't finish turning on. It goes gray, and says Airplane mode turning on... and stays like that until i exit the settings page and return to it. But it seems airplane mode works aside from turning off the cell radio.
3. The mobile data toggle doesn't work. It stays in the toggled on position but shows in gray, but at the same time says disconnected because the radio was turned off.
When I click on it, I do have access to the Preferred network and other options, so, I assume that's a good sign. Just not sure why the other stuff isn't working as it should. Any ideas?

Would bet a nickel that 60 seconds after inserting a live, working sim card for your preferred carrier, all these items will be resolved.

Never even occurred to me, but yeah........
Nice catch if he doesn't have one in already
Nah, it's not the SIM card. I tried a card that works, from AT&T and it doesn't even recognize that there's a SIM in the phone at all. And there was no other impact on the phone (ie. airplane mode working properly, etc.) I think the issue is with the phone itself. I think, unless you can provide some alternative point of view, that this is a hardware issue. The SIM tray/card issue is apparently quite common for the HTC10. I think I just got unlucky. What do you guys think?

If a good sim card didn't cure this, then likely it's a hardware issue as you suspect.
eBay's return/refund program is great. Write up a little synopsis about the problems, then
contact the Seller thru eBay and tell the story to start the process. Refund in a week or two.
Ok, this is definitely software. The seller stated on his page that "This device is LOCKED to the Sprint network and cannot be unlocked to any other network." Now, I never heard of a so called- hardlocked HTC 10 version, so I got it anyway. But I'm wondering if indeed this is what it is, because I've reverted to the Stock Sprint RUU and have the Sprint inactive SIM card in the tray and EVERYTHIGN works as it should. Airplane mode, all toggles, etc. Of course I can't get mobile data because the SIM is inactive, but it's working exactly as it should. So, my question is, is it actually possible that this phone cannot be used on any other network no matter what software/firmware is used. I have a really hard time believing that but I've tried a number of RUUs, including a custom ROM called Maximus and all have the same issue, SIM not recognized, radio not being able to be turned off, high battery usage due to the radio. Does this make sense? The original MID was 2PS640000, which doesn't really show up anywhere on the net. I could really use some context here. I need the phone to be unlocked because I won't be in the US for the next couple years, so.. If it's locked to Spring for real, then I gotta send it back. Any thoughts. Would love to solve this mystery.
Another question is, is it possible this is a CDMA only version? Would HTC even make one for the US market that is only CDMA from a hardware standpoint? That's the only thing i can think of. Maybe the actual radio chip is CDMA only and that's why it didn't recognize a GSM SIM. Is that possible? Why the hell in this day and age would there be a CDMA only phone when even Sprint offers LTE? Reading up on it, apparently for Sprint, some OEMs use the SIM for LTE and the ESN controls any other protocol. I'm starting to think this could be too problematic if my plan is to switch carriers from country to country as I travel as the phone seems locked to CDMA with only LTE via the SIM, meaning wherever I don't have LTE, I won't have network access at all. The difference in price though for an unlocked htc10 is massive. Ugh.
Guys, if you're still around, I have a question. What would be the symptoms if the Sunshine SIM lock hadn't worked? How would that affect the phone? I'm wondering if this is what happened, the despite using sunshine to SIM unlock, that somehow it failed without informing me and I proceeded thinking everything was fine until I encountered all the issues. If the SIM unlock had failed, would that cause the phone to not recognize a SIM card? Would it cause the phone runnign different firmware and the new radios, to not "connect" with the Sprint based SIM and radio, causing airplane mode to not recognize what radio to turn off, and causing the battery to drain as the radio ran at full tilt because there were no "drivers" linked to it? I'm starting to think this may have been the issue but wanted to confirm with you guys. I don't know if I should return the phone or try to SIM unlock again. I don't want to pay the extra $25 for another attempt at SIM unlocking unless there's a good chance it'll work, so I figured I'd ask you guys first. Would love your thoughts on this.
Update: For the record, I'm unlocked bootloader and s-off. I've tried running Sunshine again and it tells me I'm s-off and there's nothing to do. So I'm confused as all hell here. What could be the issue?
The only thing Sunshine does is give you S-off, meaning your bootloader security is off. It serves no other purpose so there is no reason to run it again. Sunshine does NOT unlock your SIM, but in many cases S-off is required as part of the SIM unlocking process. There are more steps to SIM unlocking than just simply being S-off.

I think that's it. I think I missed the following steps. I misunderstood and thought Sunshine would unlock the SIM. But I've used the NV method now and hopefully that means the phone is actually SIM unlocked now. Not sure as I don't have a SIM to test with, but I just wanted to thank you. That lil piece of info has helped quite a bit.
Dammit, I can't get this phone to work properly. I'm really confused. Everything works great with the Original Sprint stock rom. I have an inactive Sprint SIM and with the Stock Sprint ROM everything works perfectly. I've used NV and got a success report, which I assume means I'm SIM unlocked. When I install and unlocked Stock Rom, the phone doesn't recognize that SIM at all, meaning it doesn't even know there's a SIM inserted. Additionally, when I try to go into Airplane mode the phone just says turning On but doesn't turn off the radio.
This is what I've done.
Unlocked bootloader
Used Sunshine to S-off
DM On
Installed TWRP
Used NV to sim unlock
Rooted
Installed the stock US unlocked ROM
Then the radio just stays on no matter what I do. I know it's not a hardware issue, or at least I can't see why it would be as on Stock Sprint EVERYTHING works perfectly. I don't know what I'm doing wrong. If I look at the phone info, the IMEI is 0. I'm confused. Anyone have any idea what the issue could be, or what I may have done wrong? This is driving me crazy cause I'm sure this can be fixed. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
LOL. As an aside, when I check the battery, since installing the latest RUU, the battery, which isn't charging is showing that it's gaining charge with time, rather than losing it. Never seen this before. I'm sure it's connected to the radio issue. Just found it funny and maybe it'll provide some context.
what happenned? did you find and answer?
