So I don't even know when this started but it's stuck in demo mode. Yes, I know you can factory reset by holding the button and then click unpair & factory reset but that simply does not work at ALL. It will just reboot and stay in demo mode. I have no idea what to do.

Same issue. Unfortunately, the reason why I was restoring the firmware is because I'm trying to get it RMA'ed for a hardware issue - the volume up button is (nearly; I can get download mode to function occasionally) non-functional. I thought it might be buggy software, so I tried a different ROM, but no dice. As such, I'm unable to get it to boot into recovery - it just shuts down because it's only registering the power button when I switch to holding all three buttons after the LG logo pops up. Any suggestions that don't involve using the volume up button? If not, I'll just chance the RMA - I don't think Newegg checks tablets.
I just updated via the update in settings to 5.0.1, and now my phone keeps crashing after 1-2 minutes. Even when there isn't any apps open and its on idle, it keeps crashing. I've tried to restart it, close all apps, and turn it off for a few minutes, and nothing seems to work. Has anyone else had this happen?

It crashes before it shuts off to reset. I'm going to take it in to best buy tomorrow and have them look at it
There is a key Combo you can use to go into the recovery mode and do a factory reset from there. That is all Best buy will do. I think it is hold both volume keys down while holding the power button then let go when it starts and it will start in recovery then do the reset from there. Mine did the update fine with no issues so far. Hopefully it stays that way.
Power unit off and try to boot in safe mode by holding down volume down and then hold down the power button. When it starts to boot, release the power button while still holding the volume down. Once it boots up then try a reset.
A friend of mine brought me his phone to do a factory reset.
But when i try the power button and volume down hard reset it doesnt work.
When the LG logo appears i release the power button and press it again, but it just goes to the Verizon screen and boots as normal.
Any suggestions besides the factory reset in Settings?

Hi, I have an LG G4 that is boot looping, I have changed firmware in the past using LG UP and factory reset G4's before.
But when I hold volume up and plug in the usb cable, it goes to the 'download mode' screen but never reaches the firmware update screen, anyone had this problem before? This happens every time I try.
And when I try to do a factory reset by holding vol down and power and release and re pressing the power button it goes into the factory reset options, but it freezes on the last screen and won't actually start resetting.
So I can't use LG UP or LG flash tool as it won't go into firmware update mode.
Any Ideas?

Open "Device Manager" in windows and see if windows is not changing your device driver automatically...
I have got it to go into firmware update mode, and I used LG UP to install 5.1 firmware and used the big core disable tot, it was up and running fine, then suddenly turned off.
Now it's boot looping again and when i go to go into recovery mode, it's on the download mode screen and just goes black and turns itself off again.
Any ideas?

Hello, I did normal factory reset form the setting of phone and when the phone start I must do the first startup ... so I connect the wifi and it start checking updates, but it checking forever. I tried to skip it but after that it says couldnt sing in. I want to do factory reset again but I am wont able to boot the phone into botloader. I hold the power button and volume up and phone only vibrated, when I stop holding it ... phone boot into normal system. I dont know what to do please help me.

I'm having the same problem. Factory reset just leads to the same problem happening on setup again.
