Ill start from the begging. I rooted my amazon fire phone 2 weeks ago and installed xposed installer for an sdk 19 since the fire phone runs on update 4.6.1. All i installed from xposed was mock mock locations, pokemon go controller and an ad blocker. I rooted it with kingroot. Everything was running smoothly until today July 30th while i was messing around in snapchat my phone reset and started looping on the logo. I hardreset my phone and tried to factory reset it and i managed to factory reset it, but the phone kept looping on the logo. fearing id have low battery to try sideloading I decided to plug my phone to my wall charger and it worked and the phone booted up as normal, but whenever i take the charger off it goes back to looping on the logo and i have to newly factory reset it and plug it in to the wall charger for it to work again. I just now uninstalled kingroot and changed it with super sume and unrooted my fire phone , but it was to no avail, I dont want to admit im stuck, but Im running out of ideas, at most that think 9i can do is side load a stock adb for fire phone , but i have no idea where to properly do this, id appreciate some help

I had same issue few weeks ago. it seems that has nothing to do with root or xposed but battery. I solved by replacing my fire phone battery.
Regards,
try updating to 4.6.6, or using a custom rom to see if its Stock related :/ really hope it's not your battery but I've had my weird days with this phone and some of the things i thought was hardware related turned out to be software.

Yeah, that seems to actually be the problem, considering ive tried everything regarding softwear the only thing i can think of is the fact that i could possibly fry an egg on my phone. It overheated a lot and that was before I rooted it. How'd you get the battery replaced though? I cant find any disassembly tools online.

Turned my Kindle fire off today, and went back a few hours later to turn it back on and it would not do anything, Wont power on, I have charged it for several hours using multiple chargers. Also tried to boot off the fast boot cable. Im assuming im going to have to send it back fore warranty. Whats my worse case Scenario here since it was rooted and had a custom rom installed. any chances of amazon detecting that. If I cant get it to boot back up will they be able to?
Same thing happened to me. Custom rom and rooted. I returned mine and received a new one without a problem. Imho I don't even think they bothered to check the one I returned.
EDIT......Mine was less than two weeks old and I think that is why I received a new one. I don't know if they fix the ones that run past the return policy period.

Yes tried the fast boot cable did no good.
I contacted Amazon they walked me through doing a hard reset, afterwards it booted up fine right into my custom Rom. Anyone else has this issue, They just had me hold down the power button for 20 Seconds let go then power it on.

Had the same problem today on the Stock JB rom by hashcode. Its been 4 days since I flashed over. Turned on fine this morning, then 20min later... blank screen. When I pluged in stock USB the green charging light was on, but still no screen, I then performed the 20sec hard reset, its been working since.
Ok so I have the 1st gen kindle fire and it seems to have a charger port problem of some kind so amazon is going to replace it (a month out of warrenty)
but the problem is its rooted with the play store and several other apps no custom rom or anything . I need to know if i need to unroot before i send it back and if so how ...
It wont take a charge and will only turn on when plugged in and even then it only stays on for maybe a minute then turns off so how can I unroot or should i just say the heck with it and send it back rooted??? will I be charged ?
anybody have any past experience with a similar situation????
I don't know from experience but my suggestion would be don't send it back to Amazon rooted because the act of rooting usually voids any warrenty. It's possible they wouldn't replace it because it is rooted.
they made an exception to the warrenty being out by a couple months and they know its a hardware issue. can't factory reset because the battery wont take a charge. battery wont take a charge there fore i cant plug into a computer to unroot either
this sucks
My Usb died this week and now I'm sending it back. I never mentioned it was rooted but they're still sending me a replacement anyway.

I had the same USB port problem. They sent a replacement. A week later I returned the broken rooted unit. I never heard anything further from Amazon.
Good luck,
The Don
Nice. I'm sure part of their standard procedure is a clean wipe and flash of the factory image.

Also rooted and claimed warrenty
I had the same problem with mine and I just let the battery drop so it wouldn't turn on anymore. Now amazon would have to put a new port on in order to get it working.
I need help my galaxy nexus is not turning on. At first it would start charging when connected to a charger and i was able to turn on my phone(although it would not go past the google screen) but as soon as i disconnected my charger the phone would turn off(even though battery was nearly full).I performed all the wipes but it was of no help.My phone then stopped even charging. Now I cant even get it into recovery mode.
I would apreciate any and all help you can offer
Have you already tried swapping the battery ? Because I once was in a similar situation and changing the battery worked for me.

the battery is fine i have tried another battery but it didnt work
Not so long ago i tried to be the boss and took another guy's i9000 to install CM10 for him, i nailed it, it installed and it was working perfectly fine, then after several reboots the phone got stuck in a bootloop, then it got stuck in recovery, then it got stuck on the samsung logo, and then it just died.(stopped charging) like having literally a brick in your hand, no response.
If you've done alot of mods to the phone I'm guessing something inside died, get your phone to warranty and say you cant turn it on, they'll just change the motherboard and give you the phone back, if you had any custom roms they will never know.
my phone has no warranty that i could claim so my only option is to somehow fix my gnex

Well as i said, you have probably damaged physically some component on the motherboard, it needs to be changed so you can't fix it, find a Service that fixes android devices and tell em it doesn't boot nor makes a reaction at all, they'll prolly say they will change the motherboard if they have one and thats it.
*Edit*
I remember there was a thing called "jtag" that was able to debrick devices broken in such ways. But Rarely do services have them.
Try fastboot, download mode or omap

Hey guys im hoping to see if anyone can find a solution to this annoying problem i am having with my phone rebooting on me in the middle of using it. The phone would reboot once in a while and i never thought much of it, but recently(this past week) its been happening way too much. Im using my phone and then it reboots, but it goes into somewhat boot loop. it restarts anywhere from 1 time if i am lucky to around 10 times! once i get it to stop rebooting i use it a bit and it reboots on me again! This was happening in the stock LG OS and i got annoyed and flashed a lollipop rom and its still happening but it only reboots once. However if i start using it it reboots. The phone is becomeing essentially unusable!!! I then started to notice that if i am connected to the charger my phone does not reboot at all! no problem what so ever!
Any ideas of what i should do?
Is this happening to anyone else too?
I was thinking about unrooting it through TWRP and then upgrading it to the latest stock OS but i dont want to unroot it if i dont NEED to.. Any input is greatly appreciated

I haven't, i was thinking about that too but i am not sure if a battery can cause a boot loop? There is another guy thst posted a question similar to this in the LG G3 thread and he also says the phone does not reboot if its charging
I'd also rather not cough up $20 on a battery if i dont need it #brokecollegestudent haha
[EDIT]- Also my battery seems to be lasting me about the same i am about to go back to stock and not download any apps and see what happens
Similar issue
i had a similar issue after installing the new stock lollipop rom via twrp
it was rebooting on me every 10 minutes or so, and obviously that rebooting was killing the battery.
I had to just pull the battery and fix it.
Their may be a less drastic way to fix it. but I fixed mine by going back to stock completely.
I flashed stock via the ToT method and then upgraded to lollipop via the kbz method.
Fixed my phone, it's now working perfectly and I'm very good battery life again
Given that you mentioned twrp and lollipop I'm willing to bet we had a very similar issue
unrooting is a hassle, but at least it's free unlike buying a new battery
same issue - fixed with new battery
I had rve same issue where it rebooted randomly then after a few days just went into a boot loop. However it worked fine while plugged in. The guy in the shop said it was software related but i went ahead and ordered a new battery from amazon and now the phone is working perfectly.

did you order the anker battery? i saw that many people wrote reviews that when they tried using those batteries they got an error saying that the phone didn't support that battery or somewhere along those lines

no, i ordered the original LG BL-53YH from Amazon. You can get them at more than half the original price. Also as an alternative you can email LG directly and explain the problem. I did that and they are going to send me a free replacement battery.

It's a probably software issue. Try this http://forum.xda-developers.com/lg-g3/development/fix-stuck-custom-recovery-trying-ota-t2907508 or revert to stock. I'd say the best bet is reverting to stock via TWRP http://forum.xda-developers.com/tmobile-lg-g3/general/firmware-t-mobile-lg-g3-t2818667
This phone is quite old but I've only recently had the courage to open it up to try to fix it.
I've tried to flash the stock firmware when I could access recovery mode but it says that it couldn't install it from the SD Card.
I've tried plugging it in to my computer but the phone doesn't boot.
The phone wasn't rooted or messed with in anyway. The battery life on it just slowly went down and down until it is in the state now where it can't get past the boot logo. It doesn't even get to the boot animation either.
I'm just seeing if I can try to restore the phone to its former glory at all, whether it be a parts replacement or a software fix.

It's a great phone!
Just got mine working.... It was so nicely built.
Of course, it's waaaay beyond really practical but it works well. Even the camera is still good as long as you replace the rear cover-plus-lens
You need to replace the battery...cheap from eBay
Replacing it however, is very difficult to do well so find a shop

I actually managed to remove the battery to see if the battery was the problem in anyway. It still acts the same way when the battery is removed. I would spend the money to buy a new battery but I just want to make sure that it is the most likely problem.
Re-download your recovery firmware... Sometimes it's as simple as a corrupt file - is happened to me! Also, Leave it plugged in over night with the battery on.... It won't rescue the battery if it's dead but it's happened when with my last battery it was dead and the overnight got it to at least boot up and switch on before it powered off again.
It's worth getting it running. The only phone slimmer now is the Moto...and that has a huge camera bump!
The screen is great, the colors are lovely and if it's stock firmware, EMUI is at its quirky best.
It's a great feeling in the hands and I'm enjoying using it again.

A big problem is that my phone won't install the firmware from SD Card for some reason. I've also tried to charging but that no use.
Have you tried copying the firmware to phone internal memory?

It won't boot into recovery when plugged into my computer.
Edit: I managed to boot into system and use the local update function to install the firmware. It works once again! This phone has been dead for a couple years now and I'm glad to see it back now. I ripped the ribbon cable for the battery so I'm gonna buy a new one. Thanks for the help!
