Anyone has noticed this? Almost every time I look under my watch the heart rate monitor is glowing green. Is this normal?

what watch face are you using? I noticed this yesterday actually using a community face from Watchmaker Premium. I am thinking it has to do with the face you are using.

Yes maybe is that. I'm also using Watchmaker premium and some watch face founded on G+.
I just changed it to the default Dandy watch face.
I'll report back if this helps.
It's not Watchmaker.
Changed to default Dandy
Uninstalled Watchmaker
Factory reset
Uninstalled Google Fit
Removed all apps permissions for body sensors
And after all that my watch is still glowing green from the heart rate sensor.
Any ideas?

I think it was Google Play Services bug.
After the update to 9.4.52 there is no more green lights
Hi.
I have Google Play services 9.6.83 and have the green light almost always on problem. Anyone found an solution?
I have also noticed this bug recently, since the last update. It's becoming a major issue as it drains the battery real quick
Guys, I also have same problem.
May you please, affected with this strange HRM behavior, put Android, wear and play services versions, to analyse whether relates to particular cases?
Mine are, Android 6.0.1, Wear 1.503153324, PS 9.6.83
Also, I found on internet saying automatic HRM is a feature of Marshmallow. Any thoughts? (sorry, being noob here restricted to post links)
I've sent an email to huawei support. Let's see if they can help.
The battery life is terrible now.
Yep, I also have the same problem, and it has also been reported at the Google+ Android Wear community. Other watches seem to have this problem as well. I think there's a bug in the latest Wear update, as the problem started right after the last update.
I noticed this as well. I never had any problems in the past, but since a view days/week(?) I sometimes notice that the green heart rate monitor lights are on without reason. There was a Android Wear update recently, I currently have version 1.5.0.3250495 installed. I wonder if this is the reason. I'm also using Watchmaker with the same watchface sind months, but the last update of Watchmaker was in May, so it's unlikely that Watchmaker causes this.
@Theratron
Can you please link the Google+ Thread? I could not find it in the Android Wear Community.
I don't even have Watchmaker, so it's definitely not the app causing the problem
I wanted to post the link, but there's some nonsense about new members not being allowed to post outside links. I'll Try to PM you....
Troubleshooting for Heart rate monitor
We suggest that you try a factory reset on the watch by holding down the button for 60 seconds. If this does not resolve your problem please call Huawei support at 1-888-548-2934. (SP)

Thanks for posting Huawei's reply! That reply is a little worrisome to me though... it means they are completely unaware of the fact that every (updated) Huawei Watch out there is having their battery drained by a software bug....
Hmmm, it does seem like others are reporting the problem too.
Because of this random behavior of the HRM, I am losing on average 15% battery over night.
Check the Google Fit app. I just did and noticed, that it has measured my pulse several times in the last days without my knowledge. I usually do not use the app, so this is strange.

I also noticed that.
I uninstalled the app from the phone and it reverted to the old fit version on the watch. It doesn't log the HR anymore on Fit but the problem of the green light and the battery drain continue.
Hi, I've also had this problem. I've manage to resolve by unpairing my watch, restart both my watch and phone and start all over. Now, after a week, problem solved.

Unfortunately you're right. I also uninstalled fit on the phone and disabled fit on the watch, but the HRM still activates sometimes.

I updated, but don't see anything different on my watch.
Yeah.. That's the funny thing.. Nothing new in the change log too... They were the same features from earlier version... May be the interim one needed for the coming big update of v2.0 and wear OS w5.0.1 rumoured to roll out coming Wednesday

Same here, no difference. Probably needed for the new upcoming update.
I did get my watch rebooting when I installed the update.. I thought, new update, but no.. ohh well.

It updates Play Services to 6.5.90 (from 6.1.xx) on the watch.
I updated to this and paired my 360 with my new Moto X. I've been getting the "OK Google" at the top every time I look at the watch. I'm not sure if its the reset/pairing or update.
Anyone have this?

Say "Ok Google" and do a few voice commands and it will go away.
My standard stock watch faces no longer display the date.
Is anyone else having this problem?
After i updated the android wear app, my whatsapp notification no longer vibrates the watch. The card's are there though.
Even calls won't vibrate my watch.

Of course. I had the date showing on my watch faces before the update but it disappeared on the watch itself. I restarted and customized the faces and selected to show the date but it still doesn't show.

I'm not having any issues with dates not showing up. They show up just fine and correct.
the latest update fixed the "show me my steps / heartrate" command. Previously it was displaying a google search result instead of opening the steps/heart rate app.
The new update broke a ton of functionality for me. I can no longer turn off the watch face while charging through turning ambient mode on and off. Voice commands also stopped working.
Anyone else have these issues?

Both of those features are still working fine for me. You might need to reset the watch and resync your faces/apps.
I am now getting Hangouts notifications for Chat messages as well as SMS messages.
Previously I was only getting them for SMS messages.

How do you turn the watchface off while charging? Anyone else that's updated cannot, short of rooting and editing the build.prop

Fixed call answer
The new update also fixed an issue which some people had, about not being able to answer phone calls (only the red circle emerged to reject calls). Now both answer and reject are working again
My heartbeat sensor will turn on whenever it's covered. Almost like a proximity sensor in a reversed fashion.
In the one call I've placed since the update I've also noticed the front proximity sensor having a major delay in turning the screen off after putting the phone to my face to talk.
Anyone having these issues? Any fixes?
I've used S health to measure my heart rate in an attempt to correct the issue like one guy mentioned but I think he spoke to soon as it is not a fix.
Sad to say, it was merely a temporary fix, I did speak too soon. I have since tried disabling S Health altogether and that still didn't fix it. Today, I'm going to attempt flashing all the way back to original firmware via odin and then taking the OTA's back to lollipop to see if anything changes.

To report back: I backed up, flashed back to 4.4.4 via Odin, took OTA to 5.0.1, factory reset, then restored data and signed into all my accounts again. It seems the solution lies in waiting for AT&T to clean up their mess. The problem has come back for me.

Thanks for tanking one for the team!
At least we have gained the knowledge that going through a full wipe won't help :good:
i noticed this today when i was wearing gym shorts. restarted the phone and it disappeared, for now.
i use the sensor a couple times a day out of curiosity.
please report back if you find a fix
update: after reboot it went away, then i noticed as soon as i plugged it in to charge, it came back. i used s-health to check heart rate, then it went away again. unplugging/replugging into charger did not make it come back.
I was having the same problem and did a search online that I found fixes the issue. Just uninstall Google fit. If you need it, just re-install and the issue is resolved.

Uninstalled Fit, opened S Health, checked pulse, then had hr light stay on lol
But I like the idea of removing the app that causes it, I just think it's S Health, I tried disabling S Health and so far so good (but I'm pretty skeptical)
Solved: See post #7
I used to be able to Ok, Google and say "set countdown timer 2 minutes and 30 seconds" and it did it. Now when I do it, it brings up a screen to choose between either 2 minutes or 3 minutes. Did this start with the last update, or is there a setting I'm missing?
Edit: I contacted Moto 360 chat support and their response was to take it back to place of purchase!!
I was just about to complain about this, it was so handy to set count down timer without the need to touch the watch. Now it will just show the blue bullet menu and you have to confirm by touching the watch.... stupid....

The issue has been posted in a few forums. I went ahead and did a review of Android Wear in the Playstore to report it. It probably won't hurt to have a lot of users report it via a review in the Playstore.
I think I found a fix for the countdown timer. On your phone, say OK Goggle, set countdown timer to 2 minutes and 45 seconds. (Any off the wall time will work). After it's done on your phone, try your Moto 360 now. It's working for me. If someone would confirm that it works, I'll rename to title of the thread to help others.

Have had the Huawei Watch for a few days and it seems to have a deal-breaking bug. Frequently, after the watch has been in ambient mode for a while, it won't come out of it. If I touch the screen, the ambient display gets brighter, but that's all. No response from swiping or button presses. Sometimes, after a very long pause (a minute or so) it'll come back to life, but usually I have to hold the button until it restarts. Anyone run into this before? Ideas? Any help is greatly appreciated.
Using it with a Nexus 6. Android wear version 1.3.0.2176821.
Thanks!!!

Forgot to mention that the time sticks at whatever time it freezes and so it doesn't even tell the correct time. Sigh.
Have tried a factory reset. Didn't fix it.
Sounds like it's maybe in need of replacing. Like any new product release, there's bound to be a certain percentage of failures. Depending on how you look at it, you're either really lucky, or really unlucky
Well, just in case anyone else encounters this issue, I called Huawei tech support and described my issue. After a few minutes, they came back and said it was a known issue that effects some but not all watches. They said it would be corrected in a future software update but he was unable to tell me when that would be. So I could either wait for that update or send it back for an exchange. Since it happens frequently and renders the watch temporarily unusable, I opted to exchange it. They send an RMA label next day. The joys of new tech. Hope this helps someone else.

I have absolutely same issue. In ambient mode it freezes from the first day I bought this watch. Thank you for investigation and info.
got my hwatch and experienced the ambient mode freeze. to unfreeze, i enter and exit theater mode. it works. but now i'm never sure if the ambient time i'm glancing at is accurate or not...
Similar problem with an HTC M8. I'll try the theater mode to see if that helps. I still can't trust the time any more.
+1 on the Huawei Watch freeze. Sometimes after 15 minutes, sometimes after several hours. It has frozen with ambient mode disabled and with wrist gestures disabled as well.

Hi,
I am facing a big problem with Huawei watch.
After i charge the watch, Always On feature doesnot work even if those options are turned on.
I have to Factory Reset the watch every time i charge it, to make that feature work.
I love this watch and am very much worried.
Please suggest any solution. Thank you.

Could you have interfering software? Also when you say factory reset do you really mean factor reset or just reboot?
Hi,
I have recently started facing the same issue. I have been using this watch for 6 months but since yesterday it has been turning the screen off after 5-10 seconds (even if AlwaysOn is marked as On). It worked on the same watch face perfectly fine till a few days back. I don't think any software updates were pushed recently. Haven't tried a factory reset yet but changed watch faces and didn't work.
Also I'm in the same boat as @getchethanbr, bought this watch in the US and am now in India.
EDIT: Last I remember that I was running low on batter two says back and the watch gave an option of Batter Saver (OR Boost) and I turned it ON. Now I can't find the setting. May be that is the one turning off screen to save battery. Does any one remember such a setting?

I think my case is suspiciously similar to http://forum.xda-developers.com/huawei-watch/help/watch-stuck-battery-saver-mode-t3344409. If I find a solution to it, I will post back.
Look in the watch developer options for the Ambient enabled/disabled setting.
It looks like this problem already figured out, but read in that other thread that you have to drain battery until you see the 'battery saver card' again and swipe over to 'disable' ... someone in other thread mentioned this toggle option probably left out by accident in an update
