Restoring with TWRP help - Sprint Samsung Galaxy S6

How would you restore the internal storage from a twrp backup? Basically, I was on teamspr and was going to try out Renegade and read to be on PB6 firmware. Before flashing pb6 I made a twrp backup so i could restore personal data/app data. I restored the data partition but couldnt find my old files in my download folder so restored system partition and then it was back to teamspr but still no download files so before i create more work for myself which partition is it.

TWRP advantages to backing up cache/recovery

what are the advantages to backing up the cache and recovery partitions?
What would I lose in some popular apps if I didn't backup the cache partition
Also would I lose my recovery TWRP boot menu on a restored image if I didn't backup the recovery partition?
You won't lose anything important if you don't backup the cache and you don't need to backup the recovery partition. If something happens to your recovery partition, you'll need to use ODIN or mobile ODIN to flash it, so backing it up is useless.
No need to backup your recovery. If your recovery partition gets messed up you wouldn't be able to get in twrp to flash it. Also recovery partitions can be fixed while the device is on so nothing to worry about. I guess if you theme it up or want a specific version of twrp it might be helpful to back it up.

[Q] Won't restore Nandroid, and Bootlooping....

So I tried flashing a ROM through CWM 5 touch, and it began bootlooping, so I went to restore my backup but now it has moved all files on the sdcard and external sdcard, into a new folder "0" so now CWM won't restore the backup.

TWRP Backup Not Recognized

I have an issue with a TWRP backup that I did the other day. When in TWRP and I go to restore TWRP does not recognize the backup. When I made the backup it was stored in the TWRP folder on my internal storage. After installing a new sdcard (the next day) I moved the subject backup from the internal storage a folder on my sdcard I named "Backup". In the process of moving the backup the backup name assigned by TWRP was changed. All the files are there, other than the name change no modification has been made to the backup. Is there anyway to recover that backup so that TWRP recognizes it?
I have 2 other backups that TWRP does recognize so I'm good there.

TWRP restore

Hello,
I made a backup through TWRP to my lollipop rom.
Now Im trying to restore it and i get an error message - "no partitions to restore"
Any help please?
How did you make the backup? What did you check when creating it?
I made the backup through the twrp. i checked all the boxes (system,efs... )
Okay... Did you save it to internal storage, or sdcard? Also did you wipe your phone at all since the backup was made or before trying to restore?
On some TWRP builds, the restore option is not working properly. Do a full wipe and try restoring, if it does't work, you will need a clean install. Make backup of your data before this.
Also you can try updating the recovery image.
i saved it to internal storage then copied to external sd. after i installed other zip rom. when itreid to restore the twrp backup recognized by twrp but doesnt let me to check the boxes (system, efs...) as i wrote

Click to collapse
Maybe the backup is corrupted somehow...
