If anyone could give me some advice I'd be grateful. I bought my HTC 10 second hand from someone here in the US. When I took possession of the phone the firmware it was running was 1.80.401.1
I am using the phone on AT&T network here in the US but I keep seeing stuff through out the internet that shows us unlocked should be running 1.80.617.1
Is there any difference between them? Does it matter which I run? Would running the 1.80.401.1 version explain why I do not show AT&T volte settings?
Can someone/anyone using the HTC 10 on AT&T primarily let me know which firmware I should be using.. Thanks for any help guys

Another forum member told me to ignore those numbers, they vary across carriers. For instance, mine still says 1.19.605.22... but it is the latest from Verizon.
As far as service goes it's fine, data signal, calls, text, LTE, the whole nine yards. But the only thing I can't find in settings is how to turn on volte...
All the reading I have done on the net and I still don't know a clear answer on if AT&T users using the HTC 10 have access to volte and if they do which firmware is everyone using or how did they enable the feature or does HTC still need to unlock it via ota. When I asked Mo versi about volte on unlocked 10 on AT&T network right after HTC 10 was shown he said it would be a working feature for AT&T and tmobile users in so many words

I understand what you are saying but I'm wondering if this may be different circumstances when it comes to carrier versions vs unlocked usa/ rest of world?

not sure if this is the best answer, but current version from Verizon is 1.19.605.22, i have been S-off since early June, and have that version. not sure how old the version is.

Your phone is running Europe firmware. The. 401 is EU region.Whats your CID?
It will most likely explain why you don't have volte. Your phone will be a European handset. I think some differences will be in the lte bands that US use. You might not have LTE all the time. You can change your CID and MID and run a RUU but you will need to SOFF
The more I read the more I believe I'm using the wrong firmware too..
So tonight after work I guess I will be unlocking bootloader, flash recovery, root, sunshine soff, change cid, then run ruu

So I'm all set up a lot of reading and the help of you guys I got where I needed to be.
I unlocked the bootloader, flashed twrp, rooted, S off, changed cid to american, I changed my mid to one that I think may be Verizon? Then I flashed the US unlocked 1.80.617.1 ruu, got everything working including volte on att network
Sent from my HTC 10 using Tapatalk
I do believe I may have the wrong mid though, everything is working fine but I have Verizon data icon lol. Is there multiple us model #'s
Sent from my HTC 10 using Tapatalk
Infact I didn't buy the Euro version htc_001, it was htc_j15 Arabia version...

Did you flash unlocked US RUU? I dont really have an idea im not from US. Maybe ask in the US RUU and Rom zip thread.
Yeah, I'm starting to think HTC used Verizon data symbol for the US unlocked versions, seen a video with unlocked us version (not Verizon) and it had Verizon data symbol as well.

In another thread here, someone from Australia has posted that they have just updated to the 1.29.751.12 update.
I presume 751 designates the far east or Australasia. Do they run with the same update numbers as my 401 (UK)? If so, does this mean another update is on its way?
Bloody hope not! Pain in arse porting for new 401.11 base. (pkmn tweaks)

Been released in Sweden also from what I've heard.
It fixes the radio hang issue(not reconnecting after lost connection to gsm) and other stuff
Live Wallpaper Fix?
First thing I would check is the live wallpapers.
With this update, can you confirm if (or if not) the Live Wallpaper Scrolling Issue has been resolved?
Mine has been updated to 1.29.771.11 yesterday, branded to Three /Sweden. Had no issues with Wi-Fi or 3G already and have not yet noticed any improvement/change whatsoever..

Hi , i would like to know when there will be a way to flash JB roms like ARHD to One X devices not having one of the following CIDs:
HTC__001
HTC__E11
HTC__203
HTC__102
HTC__405
HTC__Y13

For example My CID is HTC_044.
Currently im using ARHD 9.7.2 but i would like to upgrade to the latest one.
I know there is a way to do this but it's buggy ([How to] Boot ALL Jellybean sense roms on cid unsupported devices)
Thank you for your time
Either when we get S-Off, find the private signing key or when an OTA/RUU is released that matches the CID.
We don't have dates for any of these things.
The last one is likely to come first for most devices.

They said it will start in October, that's usually Germany first, then other bits of mainland Europe, The UK, most of Eastern Asia, can't remember where middle east goes, and then HK last (or thereabouts), about a month later.
Branded ones start from around a few weeks after the initial rollout to, well, possibly never, but hopefully within 2 months.

Mine is not branded , and although im from Macedonia and bought it here i got a version that is apparently for Asia
So i guess we will just have to wait for the official update , hope HTC will be on time with the update.
I bought my phone network unlocked but the CID is network branded ("OPTUS_xxx"). Will i have to wait until the Optus jellybean update is out to flash any custom JB roms?

thats because the americans cant agree to use the same radio frequencies for their networks, so companies need to make different models for each carrier.
i bought myself an used phone on o2, s-off'd it, changed the cid to GOOGL01 and flashed the GPE conversion RUU. HTC__001 is the sim free cid if you want to flash a sense RUU to completely unbrand your device

You'll be good with international based ROMs. You wouldn't be good with others. The O2 M8 is International WWE. You may have to update your firmware though, to run the latest ROMs, otherwise your wifi will not work.

i plan on just changing it to unbranded US unlocked version and not the WWE that's why I was asking if any differences between each one. Just to confirm BS_US001 is for the US unlocked version correct? and I don't have to change the MID?

Hey guys! I´ve got my 10 S-off'ed with the following issue:
Phone model: m10h
Factory CID: HTC__060
Factory MID: 2PS620000
Booted into download mode setting cid to BS__001 and MID to 2PS650000 before running US Unlocked/ Developer RUU. I can only get 3.5G (also called as H+ or 4G). But I'm not able to get LTE. I'm from Argentina (South America), and my M9 from T-Mobile works great on LTE.
Now on the HTC 10 I'm actually on 1.96.617.20.
Any thoughts?
Thanks! :good:
Your model isn't fully compatible with US LTE bands. Be sure you've flashed US firmware if you expect any LTE bands.

I think that your model isn't fully compatible with US LTE bands. You won't ever get normal performance domestically here in the US. .
Also VZW radio isn't for 1.96.617.20, that isn't technically a VZW build even though it says VZW in the title. If you flash the RUU it includes the proper radio.

It should work perfectly. I'm on TMO with US Unlocked HTC 10, I don't enjoy it with Unlocked Rom like I do when it has TMO ROM flashed. With Unlocked ROM it doesn't show HD Calls, and sometimes Voice over LTE disappears, show 4G while calling and goes back to LTE after the call and signal level is slightly lower in some areas. I prefer TMO ROM!!
