Apparently after a wonderful time playing with my mango HD7 phone, I suddenly remember one thing that I always wish to have in WP7: the ability to play audible books. Hell yea why did not they have this feature? Even my Ipod first generation can do this.
Wifi / Bluetooth Toggle
Gapless music playback
Music scrubber
Customizable accent colors
Un-removable of the Folder button in the email app. (Seriously MS? At least make these customizable)
Visual Voicemail (on AT&T)
Option to default to keypad (instead of history) when hitting the phone tile
Week mode on the calendar
I'm really digging deep, but that's all I can thing of on my end. I don't understand why the phone doesn't have gapless playback while my Zune HD does.
Also, is anyone else disappointed that "zune-esque" artist background on WP7 is nothing like the Zune HD artist background? One is a still picture, the other is a slideshow with changing colors and text rolling across the screen in a very cool way.

This is in Mango, AT&T just hasn't enabled it for Windows Phones yet as there isn't an official release. Thats why you don't see it. AT&T will enable for Windows Phones as soon as Mango is officially released. So thats at least one marked off ;p

You sure? AT&T doesn't even support visual voicemail on Android as far as I know.
Also, the ability to lock the screen rotation.

Yes. There should be an easy way to toggle this on the homescreen. Like when you hit the top of the phone to get information, the wifi / bluetooth / vibrate icons should all be selectable buttons that toggle.

I really miss that. How annoying is the screen rotating.
I would also like a Bluetooth toggle. I only turn it on when I'm driving to save battery and its a hassle going into settings multiple times a day.
I'm also missing tethering.

You can pin the settings link to your homescreen which makes it only slightly more bearable. But yeah that would be very handy, though I think using the top status bar wouldn't work very well since the icons would be hard to hit dead on. Perhaps add them to the screen that pops down when you toggle the volume?
And I too wish for a better audiobook system, one where my place is always saved regardless of a reboot, the app being closed, etc.
Agreed
I agree with you guys. Being able to toggle WiFi, Bluetooth, or in my case airplane mode would be handy, but not a deal breaker. I have pinned “Settings” to the start screen. This has helped a bit.
The deal breaker for me is a useable, WiFi capable Skype app. I’ve waited all I can. I’m eligible for a device in January and I’m gone for good if they don’t have this fixed by then.
I really don’t want to switch at all, but I need Skype and will go without no longer.
……. although that HTC Holiday is looking pretty sexy.

That's not a bad idea, I wouldn't just have them there all the time though. Give us the ability to pin settings type things there as we want them. That way we can choose between "the look" and "the functionality."

There is a swype like option in the default HTC keyboard settings by enabling tracing. Can even change colour of the tracer.
The HTC note application is able to sync to evernote server.
Able to grp sms on sense ics
Please continue to add to this thread to be useful.
Thanks!
- turn off fastboot at settings/power uncheck it and reboot.
- turn off 3 fingers swipe at display
apparently these solved most of the screen glitches problem with camera and browser.
Most people may know this but I will put my part in. You can change colour of lock ring based on which scene you choose. Ands there's a pointless feature where when you touch or drag something there's a circle cursor on screen... Can be found in settings - developer options

Its not pointless. I assume its main purpose is to allow you to monitor how accurate the display is in regards to your touches (in fact I can see that my typing is slightly to the left of each button) and I know many use it to show video demos (I.e. they use it to show where they touched the screen... watch an angry birds tutorial and you'll see what I mean)

As well as the taking photos while videoing, you can take (extract) photos while playing back the video. Had a dig in the manual - couldn't find this mentioned.

go to personalize and than the second entry in the list (i dont know what its called in english) there you have 6 different "scenes" and in some of them, the lock ring color(is it color or colour?) is changed
US - color
all the other countries - colour
Here is a cool feature that I found out the other day. I'm not sure if its new or not though.
If you use google voice and recieve text messages via google voice. The HTC messaging client will bring those texts in and unify all your texts in one area. If you continue the conversation it uses the google voice number in that message.
There is an app on the phone which is called in Dutch "Laat zien" which had a lot of info about features of the One X.
I guess its called something like show me in english

Is there any custom ROMs or tweaks out that can change the functions of the alert slider?
I would love to have one for silent, vibrate, and ring. I am not really a huge fan of the priority and silent options that are available now.
If there isnt anything out now, I think it would be awesome to see someone come out with a lot of customizable options for the alert slider or maybe even the recent and back buttons if possible.
Also, was there any customization on the Oneplus 2 alert slider?
As far as your first question, you may want to specify your device. The alert slider on the OnePlus 2 should have minor customization from Oxygen OS. But as far as I know its only to the point of what each profile does. I haven't heard of any modules or other ROMs that give you the option to change what they do.

I posted in the OnePlus 3 Q&A so I figured everyone would know. I made a reference to the OnePlus 2 to see if anyone knew about any changes with the alert slider to see if there was a possibility to do the same to the OnePlus 3.

OnePlus 2 and OnePlus X has an xposed module called Alert Slider where you can set the slider to silent, vibrate and ring.
But this is not working for OnePlus 3.

I for myself dont really use that slider. For the same reason the OP was talking about. I just use silent everything for the night, vibrate during work, tone for the rest, thats all. That would be perfect for the slider options.
Thanks for bringing this up

Exactly same setting is required in my case. Silent at night with no ring and vibration just alaram, Vibrate at work with no ring for calls, Tone for rest all calls and sounds.

I think it would be a great addition to OxygenOS. I just don't see many people really using the existing features that are in there now. I think it would see much more use if it had ring, vibrate, and silent functions.
Actually this works perfectly for me: https://forums.oneplus.net/threads/...h-between-ring-vibrate-vibrate-silent.451867/
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.nqk.vibratemodeextended
This app works for OnePlus 2 and I hope it would work on OnePlus 3 in a next update.
Edit. It should work with OnePlus 3 as well but at the moment there are some bugs in all OOS3 versions:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/oneplus-2/themes-apps/app-vibratemode-alert-slider-t3223166/page4
I was running either bliss or vanilla unicorn and it had slider settings you were able to tweak built in.

So its new phone day (well its day 3) and i have problems i hope you have solutions. So the old phone (also running pie) ment i could change my text tone (tone1) facebook notifications (tone 2).
So i now have tone one as the default tone but it now is every tone on the phone, so easy go in the app and change it. Except messages does not have a sound option for notification.
Not to worry i think i can just change facebooks sound ....nope that don't have a sound for notification section ... ah i think i can turn facebook sound off .... i only need to see the notification in the shade ... nope facebook doesn't have that either ... any advice?
Thanks in advance

So, i'm coming from a 6 and not having a notification LED sucks. Do you guys use any app for simulating a LED? If there was a way to put a tiny green blinking circle in the bottom, that would be awsome.

I got my 7T yesterday was wondering the same thing, given that it's been a cornerstone of most every phone I've owned. So I did some searching around and found this, which seems to be working great, and is developed by an XDA member.

Looks great so far!
Although "Notify Buddy" is a very nice app and works on Oneplus 7T i found out that it has a quiet high battery consumption. There are two other apps, that worked fine for OP 6T:
"Plus Beat"
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=vaf.vishal.plusbeat
"Pixel Pulse"
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.compass.pixelpulse
They both need a workaround to be usefull on OP 7T:
- notification change to "important"
- enable popup on lockscreen
- disable "stealth mode" in app
Under this circumstandes they work fine!
Have fun with your new Oneplus!

Yup, unsinstalled notify buddy precisely for that, wasting too much battery.

I dont know another way. battery life is okay with plus beat, burn in depends on the frequency and time...
have a nice day!
Plus beat is much more battery friendly than nottify buddy.
There is no way to sey PB notifications to important, at least i don't see it. Android 10 on 7t here. But ir's working good with stealth mode disabled.
Not quite the same.. But I use an app called Glimpse, works perfectly for me, it lights the screen up when a notification comes In, I set mine to light the screen up for 30 seconds, gives me chance to read it unlike the oneplus light up screen setting which lasts for 8 seconds.
you can select apps for notifications.
you can set screen on time and you can set it to repeat alert until checked based on a time setting...
The app is light on background battery usage.
The app is also well supported on the Xda forums...
Couple of tips, turn off the built in oneplus light up screen setting or Glimpse will not work correctly.
Also consider turning off optimisation in the battery settings and locking the app, so that android does not close it down in the background.
The app is free and ad free from the Google store.
https://forum.xda-developers.com/android/apps-games/app-glimpse-notifications-t3090575/amp/
I also use a xiaomi Mi band 4 with my oneplus 7t, I set my phone to silent, use the mii band app to send the watch notifications, via vibration from my selected apps, sooooo much better than the phone beeping loudly, it disturbs nobody, more zen like... Plus the Mi band 4 is low cost, very long battery life, Amoled screen, works wonderfully...
Plus the notification message can be partially seen on the Mi band.
Looks interesting. For now, plus beat does the job, but i would like for it to stop showing notifications after you see them in the status bar.
