Apparently after a wonderful time playing with my mango HD7 phone, I suddenly remember one thing that I always wish to have in WP7: the ability to play audible books. Hell yea why did not they have this feature? Even my Ipod first generation can do this.
Wifi / Bluetooth Toggle
Gapless music playback
Music scrubber
Customizable accent colors
Un-removable of the Folder button in the email app. (Seriously MS? At least make these customizable)
Visual Voicemail (on AT&T)
Option to default to keypad (instead of history) when hitting the phone tile
Week mode on the calendar
I'm really digging deep, but that's all I can thing of on my end. I don't understand why the phone doesn't have gapless playback while my Zune HD does.
Also, is anyone else disappointed that "zune-esque" artist background on WP7 is nothing like the Zune HD artist background? One is a still picture, the other is a slideshow with changing colors and text rolling across the screen in a very cool way.

This is in Mango, AT&T just hasn't enabled it for Windows Phones yet as there isn't an official release. Thats why you don't see it. AT&T will enable for Windows Phones as soon as Mango is officially released. So thats at least one marked off ;p

You sure? AT&T doesn't even support visual voicemail on Android as far as I know.
Also, the ability to lock the screen rotation.

Yes. There should be an easy way to toggle this on the homescreen. Like when you hit the top of the phone to get information, the wifi / bluetooth / vibrate icons should all be selectable buttons that toggle.

I really miss that. How annoying is the screen rotating.
I would also like a Bluetooth toggle. I only turn it on when I'm driving to save battery and its a hassle going into settings multiple times a day.
I'm also missing tethering.

You can pin the settings link to your homescreen which makes it only slightly more bearable. But yeah that would be very handy, though I think using the top status bar wouldn't work very well since the icons would be hard to hit dead on. Perhaps add them to the screen that pops down when you toggle the volume?
And I too wish for a better audiobook system, one where my place is always saved regardless of a reboot, the app being closed, etc.
Agreed
I agree with you guys. Being able to toggle WiFi, Bluetooth, or in my case airplane mode would be handy, but not a deal breaker. I have pinned “Settings” to the start screen. This has helped a bit.
The deal breaker for me is a useable, WiFi capable Skype app. I’ve waited all I can. I’m eligible for a device in January and I’m gone for good if they don’t have this fixed by then.
I really don’t want to switch at all, but I need Skype and will go without no longer.
……. although that HTC Holiday is looking pretty sexy.

That's not a bad idea, I wouldn't just have them there all the time though. Give us the ability to pin settings type things there as we want them. That way we can choose between "the look" and "the functionality."

Although it says in Settings > Personalize "Choose... lock screen wallpaper", there is no way to actually change the image. On earlier versions of HTC Sense for Android you could have a different picture on the lock screen and as a wallpaper, but not now. Another backward step or am I missing something?
I saw it also, the information is still in the user manual by the way, but not possible.
Is there a way to have the weather widget on lockscreen?
Thanks for your help

I downloaded LockBotPro... its a good app an there's a decent amount of customization you can do to the lock screen... add your own wallpaper, lock slider & sound effect but shame its not compatibile with the AndWobble app, that would of made it a thousand times better
Is it possible to have live/animated lock screen themes with LockBotPro?

Not sure, but i would hardly imagine anyone having a go at it, people are trying to run away from live wallpapers to save up some battery life
This feature worked for me, and was present in the settings menu. ALthough I noticed at some point that my lockscreen image was not what I set it to, and the menu option was not there anymore......
I went back expecting the menu option to be there but it wasn't. Wonder whats going on. The feature was there and it worked for me...

do you type in urls all day? learn how to use favorites and how to touch links damn whiners (7 pro users excluded)

i was quiet pleased that i could fullscreen browse in lanscape.
not possible in mango...
a simple switch could do the trick! if you want fullscreen u need to spread the word, vote for fullscreen browsing!!!!
i'm not 100% sure but i think in one of the demo videos, the guy who was showing off the new browser on mango was able to toggle the address bar on and off
Not really i kinda like it =) Someting new indeed!
Oh well yes there should be a button for fullscreen browsing. Replied to fast thought it was only for the bar location

+1
It eats too many space.
I think they should make the address bar disappear below the screen when browsing and come back up with a flick from the bottom, or a slide from lower left like for the paste icon.
a pop up/pop out address bar icon would be enough for me.

In my opinion there should be a slider to turn on/off the adress bar in landscape mode and once activated a little button should appear which opens the bar.

There is a swype like option in the default HTC keyboard settings by enabling tracing. Can even change colour of the tracer.
The HTC note application is able to sync to evernote server.
Able to grp sms on sense ics

- turn off fastboot at settings/power uncheck it and reboot.
- turn off 3 fingers swipe at display
apparently these solved most of the screen glitches problem with camera and browser.
Most people may know this but I will put my part in. You can change colour of lock ring based on which scene you choose. Ands there's a pointless feature where when you touch or drag something there's a circle cursor on screen... Can be found in settings - developer options

Its not pointless. I assume its main purpose is to allow you to monitor how accurate the display is in regards to your touches (in fact I can see that my typing is slightly to the left of each button) and I know many use it to show video demos (I.e. they use it to show where they touched the screen... watch an angry birds tutorial and you'll see what I mean)

go to personalize and than the second entry in the list (i dont know what its called in english) there you have 6 different "scenes" and in some of them, the lock ring color(is it color or colour?) is changed
US - color
all the other countries - colour
Here is a cool feature that I found out the other day. I'm not sure if its new or not though.
If you use google voice and recieve text messages via google voice. The HTC messaging client will bring those texts in and unify all your texts in one area. If you continue the conversation it uses the google voice number in that message.
There is an app on the phone which is called in Dutch "Laat zien" which had a lot of info about features of the One X.
I guess its called something like show me in english

Hello everyone
I've switched from CM7 on my old Nexus One to Galaxy Nexus and CM9, which was updated later to CM10.
I know everyone will tell me I've done a wrong thing, but I restored my whole phone apps/configuration from my old phone using TitaniumBackup: I have to say except for 1-2 apps, it worked just as I wished.
After few days of CM10 and watching other phones around me, I found out that Enhanced Notifications are already enabled in the nightlies, but they seem to be disabled on mine!
At this point I'm looking for some advice for enabling this feature. For sure, factory reset is the fastest option, but I will forget about the enhanced notifications rather than going through the whole factory reset thing.
I really don't need the full instructions here. A very brief hint can do the trick for me.
Thanks
Is it a specific to any one app or all of them? Because not many apps actually support enhanced notifications yet. Gmail is one that does.

Honestly, I never had the enhancements on my phone, so I don't know for sure on which apps they should appear.
Gmail gives long notifications (some content of the email), but no buttons. I think this is it for now.
But for missed calls for example, there should be some buttons, which are missing.
You mean the issue refers to phone app? nice idea. but I don't know whether phone app is not sending them, or notification bar doesn't receive.
Can you introduce me some app with the same feature support, so I can test?

Gmail isn't supposed to have buttons, just long message preview. The expanded notifications aren't always expanded. Drag down on it with 2 fingers. It should have buttons for a missed call.
Easiest way to check expandable notifications is to take a screenshot.
It's a huge shame for me that I didn't know this double finger trick.
thanks a lot

I think it just depends on if you've got other notifications already showing. If you've got none it should default to expanded.
Hello,
I'm S7E happy user but I just purchased OP3 for my girlfriend. Can I ask for few things, here?
- Alarm- is any way when home button pressed deactivate alarm in the morning? When she pick up phone in the morning while alarm ring accidentally she touch home button and then unlock the phone. and then takes ages to turn the annoying alarm off.
- Scheduled DO NOT DISTURB- I just cannot believe phones without this function still exist- what to do?
- Change system font- is it missing or I'm blind?
- DPI, any way for changing it without the root? Everything looks like has been made for DISABLE, blind 80y old person. It is JUST MASSIVELY HUGE.
- Nova's Tesla unread count badge is not working for FB messenger
- Pickup call- is any way of swapping annoying swipe to answer for just click icon or similar? When phone or finger cold there is no way of answering incoming call.
- What is the best browser with adblock (needs to be easy to temporary turn it off) and sync with google?
Thank you for all your replies.
- Not that i know off.
- Scheduled Do not disturb is a missing feature, but again we have a notification slider.
- Its missing indeed.
- Nope, but it takes 7 min to Rlroot and u dont void warranty.
- idk
- Not that i know off. Never had a issue with not beeing able to pick a call up in cold weather.
- I personally use chrome with this. With root it works better.

I absolutly have no problem with my currently 420 DPI. If you are going to buy it i recommend using Freedom OS. Its basicly OxygenOS with a little bit more features such as: Adblocker, DPI etc.
No need to root you can use adb to change the dpi on the fly
yubrowser from the playstore is really good with built in ad blocking
The other ones like others have said cannot be changed afaik.
NetGuard works via the VPN API and doesn't require root/xposed/unlocked BL and works with any browser

You can't. Home button- fingerprint unlocking your phone, alarm ringing like crazy and you have to go to notifications to turn it off. What a mess in the morning. iPhone alarm just stop when home pressed.
You can get scheduled DND functionality using an app. I use Silence Premium but they have a free version also.
Edit: Note that Google includes scheduled and other nice DND functions in stock Android but OnePlus delete this functionality from OxygenOS even though it is essentially stock Android. They delete it because they are too lazy to think about accommodating it with their hardware slider even though other manufacturers do it, most notably Apple.
Super. Silence premium do the job. Thank you.

Out of curiosity, how does Apple manage potential conflicts between physical alert slider and different software settings?
What setting does take over?

I don't own an iPhone so no idea but Silience Premium on the OnePlus 3 works exactly how I would expect. I.e. the slider always has priority. In the normal position the software can set priority mode on/off but the slider always sets it on if set and sets it off if toggled etc. When the app sets priority on the indicator goes on just like the slider so it is a true system setting thus we know that the stock DND could do it as well. I just don't understand why this simple and obvious behavior wasn't adopted by the OP design team.
