I've gone through 4 phones and it's been a problem on every single one. The only way to avoid thinking about it is keeping the phone in a case.

Parts are available online,, Google replacing it and you can find good videos on how to replace etc.
In the mean time, use a toothpick to move the volume buttons.
I have found the volume button part online but u need a flex cable for the volume button which I cannot find online

the volume buttons that come from factory are some what of bad quality they keep breaking and just to let u know flex cable has nothing to do with volume buttons, and as for replacing it u can do it without opening the phone but its complicated u can end up breaking the new volume buttons, better is to take of the back cover of the phone n thn replace the volume button.. the hard side goes towards the uper side of the phone n the soft side towards the lower side

Power button

I am facing some problem with the power button, have to press it hard to on and off and sometimes have to press 3-4 Times to on. Is anyone having the same issue ?

yes it's a fault with the device
no choice but to send it to hTC service to repair it

Yes buddy the same problem..for now only two solutions-either send it to hTC to get it repaired or use sweep to wake...
Thanks for the reply.. Just wanted to confirm about the issue.. As my phone is under warranty i will better send it to Service centre.

I'm having the same issue, and i didn't want to start a new thread because of something so small.
But I unlocked my bootloader, this clearly is a hardware issue right, you think they will be nagging about it when I send it back?

What if i sent my one v directly to service centre? I ll flash any of the sense ROM & send it cuz it's an hardware issue

[Q] Power Button

Does anyone else' power button on their one m8 click more towards the left side when facing the screen? the button goes down slanted towards the left side when I press it like the switch inside isn't centered with the power button. Is this normal for the M8?
Exactly the same problem !
