Hello everyone, I I hereby ask you aid, I have a nexus 5x so everything worked correctly and it suddenly turned off and now it is in a boot-loop a few hours after he gave his last breath and now he does not turn on, can not enter the bootloader, recovery, fastboot or download mode, but however when I put the phone charging it gets the notidication led red, can you help me?
I read this below form a reddit post it might pertain to you.
"That means that battery is deeply discharged, it is the way for the device to notify the user that it will not power on and charger needs to be connected."
https://www.reddit.com/r/nexus5x/comments/3rbr3b/nexus_5x_red_led_of_death_after_running_out_of/
Maybe try a different charger.
Hello same problem. I already replace battery to new charged battery and nothing change. Same only red led blinking.

I was asking this because a guy was selling a phone with this problem for 90$, but due to whats happening to you i dont think i want to buy it.
There is lots of people who have same problem on this forum and google official forum. Google workers suggest RMA. I dont know they replace motherboard or only rewrite emmc or boatloader. I ask but without respond. Sorry my english is terrible

Same problem here, phone shut down and is now dead. But sometimes it is able to load the bootloader. I have not found out how I can reproduce this. If I leave the phone charging over night and the battery is full then it doesn't give any feedback to the power button or power+vol down combination. If I let the battery run down I get the blinking red LED and sometimes even the bootloader.
Just trying to boot into fastboot, flash system-image and back up a few minor apps.

2 Questions:
Can my phone be revived?
If no, is there anyway HTC will be able to tell that it has been rooted thus voiding my warranty?
Apologies if this has already come up and been answered but I did search the Q&A and dev forums first.
Background:
Today my Desire died. I am running Oxygen RC7 (have done for a couple of weeks now)
At the weekend I had trouble unlocking my phone. I pressed the button but the screen stayed black. This was resolved by removing and re-inserting the battery. However, today, when the same thing happened, the battery trick didn't work. Tried leaving the Desire batteryless for an hour or so but still no joy.
Connected the phone to my computer by USB and no activity (no light on phone, no recognition on PC).
I would really appreciate any suggestions.
Oh and while I remember, I cannot even get into boot mode by pressing the top button and volume down.
Sounds like phone is dead DEAD!

Thanks, I'll look into these options tonight. Any thoughts re warranty? Will HTC know it was rooted?
Have you tried leaving it plugged into the charger for at least 10 minutes to see if you get any life?
Have you tried with the battery off, and just the charger plugged in to see if the LED lights up?

No I haven't tried these yet. Will try when I get home. I did try with two batteries though (1 fully charged, 1 about 90% charged).
It didn't appear a problem on software anyway, it appears a issue on hardware (if it was a problem on software, your phone would at least boot HBOOT).
Answering your question, yeah, they will probably discover that you rooted your phone. Don't know if they will void your warranty for this, but probably yes. Anyway, you can try at least.

Yeah, guess I have no choice! I'll try looking at some of the options talked about in this post but looks like I'll just have to chance it with HTC. Wish me luck!
My phone was rooted and I had CM6.1.1 on it, my phone died like yours so I sent it off to HTC and they didn't realise it was rooted. If you think about it if the phone is completely dead and doesn't even turn on there is no way for them to find out. Simples

That´s a known issue of Xperia ZL.
See here

So, can you boot your phone up, and then it shuts off when you unplug it?
or are the symptom's different?

How old is your phone (should it be under hardware warranty?), did you buy it new, did you unlock your boot partition (and if so, did you save it?)

When I took mine with same issue to my provider, it was sent directly to a Sony repair center where they replace both camera and battery!
(I swear, they gave me a diagnostic document)
Since then, my phone has been working very well

Was wondering if flashing a custom rom would fix the dialer proximity but that doesn't disable the touch screen when you bring the phone to your ear? Would appreciate it if anyone can confirm this before i go through the trouble.
I had same situation and only on 4.3 it works well. But I sent my phone to Sony repair center and they gave me a brand new z1c 1 year after buying. It was related to hardware issue but in new phone I had similar problem but it occurs from time to time decently now it's better with new phone

Are you sure its a hardware isssue? It feels more like a bug. I also sent my phone into sony and they replaced it with a brand new one but it still has the same problem.

On Munjeni rom 108 it's same with proximity dstrikers rom also on Lp is worse because when you click on status bar it automatically drops down buy on kk it automatically revert back. It's very annoying for me because I make a lot of calls. In service test proximity is OK.

Ahh, so I'm not alone.
I picked up a cheap Z1C from eBay because it had this bug and the guy selling it got screwed around by the service centres and just had enough so sold it.
So how often does this happen? Anyone got any idea about that?
I doubt I can send it back as I have no receipt. I only bought it as I figured there would be a way around it.
If I go into the service menu, *#*#7378423#*#* and choose Proximity Sensor it is just on. If I can change it so it's just off I can just use the power button manually so my ear doesn't press buttons while I'm on the phone. Currently you can't hang up or navigate through the menus some places have when you ring up.
Tips are appreciated.
The power button trick will do good in case of such bugs..but maybe flashing a custom rom will solve the problem

I had tried that but got no result, so I put my SIM back in and tried again. I held the power button a bit longer, instead of just pressing it, and the screen came on.
So you're right, I can work around it but it's a bit irritating.
While trying to sort out what the problem was I found the Diagnostic option under the About Phone section in settings.
While testing things I discovered the ambient light meter doesn't work either, I suspect they're part of the same module so if I have no luck chasing Sony up I might just do it myself.
Trouble is there isn't a service centre in my city so I've got to post it interstate and I'm not the original owner, that shouldn't matter but might. I guess I'll find out.
Hey,
I'm writing this because in my experience sony phpnes have some sorts of issues, reply doen below if you had any.

Xperia phone user since Xperia P, Z1 Compact, Z2, X, and now XA2... Just had problem with my Xperia P with the screen on the top. With my XA2, I bought it on March, and until now, no problems so far
Sometimes my screen flips out and the notification shade goes up and down. It's happened a few times since I got it. I'm not sure what causes it, though.
Yes, this smartphone has a whole list of flaws. In our forum they have been discussed more than once. Some of my friends will translate them and publish soon
No no problems with my xa2.
Just installing twrp doesn't work really good
In my case
I have to install the service exchange unite firmeware
To even boot into the normal recovery or twrp
So everything is thine
Just have to boot twrp with adb every time if I want to install something...
I have boot issues sometimes. Ie whenever I mess with boot or system (aka new modules on magisk, etc), I can boot when connected to a charger, have to unplug first, else it will not boot. Sometimes even if unplugged. It will boot either to a red light and no screen or the white sony screen. Bith don let you hard reset with the power button. Leaving you waiting till the power dies before you can reset.
Thus I do not reboot till the battery is low, as even with 15% battery it takes all night to die (at least when the screen is off).
I've had adb related issues. Took me about an hour to unlock the bootloader and now I'm having issues getting TWRP to boot.
If you do unlock the bootloader, the phone whines about it every time the phone starts up
[Edit] The TWRP issue I was having has been fixed, it was a PEBKAC error.

Hi guys, i just got my xperia z5 premium dual e6885 back from a friend, said it was still working, but after giving it back to me, it was dead, it won't start, and when I try to charge it, it'll just light up and show the sony logo, while blinking red light once, then dies, and then after exactly 8 seconds, it will repeat, tried using flashtool, fastboot won't work, flashmode too, my pc doesn't detect the phone. Any ways to get this phone repaired? Any help would be much appreciated.
