That´s a known issue of Xperia ZL.
See here

So, can you boot your phone up, and then it shuts off when you unplug it?
or are the symptom's different?

How old is your phone (should it be under hardware warranty?), did you buy it new, did you unlock your boot partition (and if so, did you save it?)

Now the store keeps my phone to test hardware components and machine )) I hope it will soon back to normal, Fortunately, I didn't unlock bootloader

When I took mine with same issue to my provider, it was sent directly to a Sony repair center where they replace both camera and battery!
(I swear, they gave me a diagnostic document)
Since then, my phone has been working very well

[Q] phone dead htc one x

i am currnetly using an htc one x, which i havent rooted or flashed yet, 2 days ago the phone just got hung, without me doin anything, i just turned on the phone and it was just........stuck.......then it switched off by itself and switched on again, it went to the htc logo, then switched off again, the same cycle repeated 4-5 times. The battery had abt 76% charge left. Then all of a sudden, it just refused to turn on. I couldnt charge it, the device manager couldnt detect it, and i tried nearly every possible combination of the volume-power buttons, still nothing. I saw somewhere that if u just charge for 1-2 days it'll turn on again, but still no luck.......no response from the comp wen i plug it in.......still running the stock os.........pls help, i have almost lost faith in technology

How log have you had it?
If you can get into the bootloader try a factory reset from there.

Dude, it seems that your battery is flat. I'd suggest charging the phone via a power outlet and not the PC usb. Once you connect the phone to the power outlet you should get a red charging led..
After it's fully recharged, try rebooting..if still the same problem, get into the bootloader and do a factory reset...if still the issue persists, go back to the retailer where you bought this from and get a replacement...

If you're not getting to bootloader and it won't start even after being plugged in so long...you don't have any choice but to seek repair.

Yup, it seems you have faulty mainboard...get it repaired..I wouldn't suggest spending a lot of money on repairing a outdated phone. If the service center is asking for a few hundred $ then scrap it..it's not worth it as you won't get any warranties for the repairs done.....besides, HTC will be stopping support for the phone after the next update to 4.2.2 even though the rest of world is on the latest Android versions...so at best you'll have another 2 more months by when your phone will be really outdated both in terms of hardware and software....
u are better off buying Chinese rip-off phones that have equivalent configs as the One X....sorry to say this..

[Q] HTC Desire 6/7 vibrates and won't turn on

Hello guys,
I have problem with my HTC Desire. After few years of normal using, few days back from now I could not turn my phone on.
I read somewhere that maybe my battery died, and because of that I bought new one, after placing battery in, I recharge my phone normal and when I press turn on button it's still the same problem. Few vibrates, I think 7 or 6, and then I see HTC logo all time. All I could do is took battery out and that's it.
So, can you help me ? Anyone with same problem like mine? I could not even enter Recovery, when I turn phone on by holding volume down button, I choose recovery and then I see HTC logo and vibrates again. No point
Regards,
Nazzgull
Take the battery out, and put the phone in the freezer for 10 minutes.
After that try to boot it up. If it boots up ok, it likely means that the issue is an overheating motherboard rather than a software issue.

Thank you for answer. I did it, and I am able to turn my phone on now. What should I do now ? Is there anything I can do to fix this issue?
I think it's not cheap to check mobile phone service prices, or should I buy new phone.. Damn

Well its a hardware issue...not easy/cheap to fix. You have three options:
1. Buy a mini fridge that you can walk around with and keep your phone in.
2. Buy a new motherboard, and replace your current one with it.
3. Buy a new phone.
Sent using xda-developers app
Yep, buying a new phone would probably be the best decision.
After you've been able to boot, did it stay on? In that case it sounds like a software problem to me. Can you confirm?

It isn't software related, because the OP booted the phone after it had cooled off in the fridge. This is a clear sign of motherboard overheating, as we often encounter here.

for 5 minutes already solved my issue, I did refrain from the rest of the instructions posted above. I could also have put my phone in the freezer, which then would mean my phone overheats? Come on.... There are several failure modes apparently, of which overheating is one, but there are more. So some don't have to throw away their phone. Please let me know in http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2449606, if you experience this as well.

[Q] [urgent help needed!] Phone does not boot up unless connected to USB power source

My Sony Xperia ZL is NOT booting up unless it has an external power supply. The phone vibrates, shows the SONY bootscreen, and then dies. Also, the phone runs perfectly until i disconnect it and it simply dies in the blink of an eye. I have an unlocked bootloader and was on CM10.2, flashed the stock ftf for 4.3, then 4.2, and yet nothing worked! My device is just around 8 months old and i doubt that my battery can be dead all of a sudden when it was giving decent backup until today!

my bootloader is unlocked so the warranty will most probably be void. Also, since this is a sudden development, am hoping it's a software problem.

If you have taken a backup of your TA partition, then relock your bootloader before you go to the service center.
I'm pretty sure that your battery is dead.
Do you have a Trim Area backup? If so, restore it and then take it to service.

ITS YOUR BATTERY! TRUST ME!
I had the exact same issue. Just spring for a 30$ battery from eBay. Worked for me! I also brought an Xperia T back to life by replacing the battery ?. It would only show a blinking red light but wouldnt boot or charge. New battery fixed it. Sony DEFINITELY has some kinks to work out with their batteries. At the very least they need to go back to removable ones.

You can use it while charging but not while its off charge. If the sony center denies the problem with the battery, No one can help you. You need to check the battery. Hardware related issue. So none of us can help you out online. Please try to get your battery replaced. I think you can do that.

Xperia phone user since Xperia P, Z1 Compact, Z2, X, and now XA2... Just had problem with my Xperia P with the screen on the top. With my XA2, I bought it on March, and until now, no problems so far
Sometimes my screen flips out and the notification shade goes up and down. It's happened a few times since I got it. I'm not sure what causes it, though.
Yes, this smartphone has a whole list of flaws. In our forum they have been discussed more than once. Some of my friends will translate them and publish soon
No no problems with my xa2.
Just installing twrp doesn't work really good
In my case
I have to install the service exchange unite firmeware
To even boot into the normal recovery or twrp
So everything is thine
Just have to boot twrp with adb every time if I want to install something...
I have boot issues sometimes. Ie whenever I mess with boot or system (aka new modules on magisk, etc), I can boot when connected to a charger, have to unplug first, else it will not boot. Sometimes even if unplugged. It will boot either to a red light and no screen or the white sony screen. Bith don let you hard reset with the power button. Leaving you waiting till the power dies before you can reset.
Thus I do not reboot till the battery is low, as even with 15% battery it takes all night to die (at least when the screen is off).
I've had adb related issues. Took me about an hour to unlock the bootloader and now I'm having issues getting TWRP to boot.
If you do unlock the bootloader, the phone whines about it every time the phone starts up
[Edit] The TWRP issue I was having has been fixed, it was a PEBKAC error.

Xperia z5 premium won't start; won't charge, lights up and shows logo then dies

Hi guys, i just got my xperia z5 premium dual e6885 back from a friend, said it was still working, but after giving it back to me, it was dead, it won't start, and when I try to charge it, it'll just light up and show the sony logo, while blinking red light once, then dies, and then after exactly 8 seconds, it will repeat, tried using flashtool, fastboot won't work, flashmode too, my pc doesn't detect the phone. Any ways to get this phone repaired? Any help would be much appreciated.
