Is there any way to change the notification vibration for messages / calls? Every normal phone up until I changed to the desire had heaps of different vibrate options, duration, patterns, sync with music etc.
i use missed call, it allows all that. bit ****ty having to install an app for it though, as you say.
Hi
I use an app called Bar Control, use it to create a button on the notification bar for PrefsSoundVibration. You should be able to do what you're asking for from there.

how can I change the audio notification (ring) in the E-Mail app.. The change in the app it self does not work - I changed it to "On Time", but i hear all the time the "Postman" sound...
strange, any idea?

it is working fine for me, I changed it to whistle.
Have you changed it in both settings? General setting and setting under your email account?

hmmm... not on my device with my Exchange account
after change to N7100XXALJ3 same problem - impossible to change the ring tone of the E-Mail app.
No matter what is selected - it is always "Postman" sound ringing...
aargh... my mistake - I changed all the time the ringtone in the general settings of the e-mail app - bit it must changed in the e-mail account setting.
Such a stupid error by me...

Does anyone know which files are used for the increasing ringer? Because sometimes when my phone is in my pocket I don't get to it until the third ring and sometimes miss a call. I've used the app called disable increasing ring I think it's called but it makes the beginning of my ring tones skip. I know on my evo 3d there was an option to turn it on or off but not on the Optimus G. If anyone can chime in I'd really appreciate it. Thanks

That's not it. I'm referring to when your phone rings and the volume starts low then increases to high no matter if your in a loud area or not. I have checked the wise ring tone and it still has the increasing ringer.

I guess i misunderstood.
If you disable Wise Ringtone, it gives the same volume all the time, and i thought that's what you wanted. My bad

It's alright, yea when i disable the wise Ringtone it doesn't change anything. When my phone rings it always starts at a low volume then increases. And that app on the playstore makes the beginning of the Ringtone skip, that's why I was wondering which files made that do that so I could just try and modify them myself. Thanks though
I am looking for an app that will override volume, vibrate, and silence settings for a contact.
The contact is for my local 911 dispatch center. It can txt out our fire pages.
I want it to sound a dedicated notification tone regardless if the phone is on vibrate or silence.
Thanks!!
id love to know this as well.

Id love to know if there was on out there as well ... I had a hard enough time finding a good ringtone replacement (went with Ringo lite) that I gave up on looking for those specific features.

I believe you could also use Tasker to set your phone exactly as you want for this action. For example, I know I can set all my volumes to max when I am getting a call from my wife. Not that I would do that ...

So I'm loving my G3 but there is a small issue that I'm having. I have my general notifications set to one sound and my ring tone set to another like I have with every other Android phone I've owned. For the most part everything works perfect, but several times I got a notification and it played my ring tone. Not for one single app either, it was different ones. Some apps I could check the notification sound and within the app it had it set for the ring tone. I change it, but other apps don't give that option, like games.
Anyone have any suggestions on how I might be able to correct this?

Still having this issue. It seems like any app that has notifications that I cant manually assign a sound to within the app settings will sometimes use the ringtone sound rather than the notification sound. Has no one else had this problem?
