Hi guys,
I bought the Huawei watch about 8 months ago. I paired it with my LG G3 and all was great. I got almost 2 days of battery life after each charge.
2 weeks ago I upgraded my G3 to S7 Edge.
Since then, my watch doesn't go through more than 12 hours before totally draining.
Of course I tried factory resetting it and re-pairing. Uninstalling android wear and re-installing and re-pairing.
All settings are the same - no wifi etc.
There are no special apps or special usage with it. Actually nothing has changed, besides the phone itself.
This has been really frustrating and I couldn't find any solution (or even the source of the problem).
Anyone has any advice?

Peace...
Recently purchased a SS3 Steel from eBay, new out of the box with seal around package. Upon setting it up, I immediately updated it to LolliPop. I synced my apps to my watch (which include the basics like, Wear Launcher, WatchMaker, Facer and etc.). At first I didn,t notice the battery drain, as I was just having fun playing with it. But after a hour or so I was down to 40%--->and I just attributed it to battery having to cycle a couple of times. Here it is day 2 with watch and i have to re-charge it every 4-5 hrs---> this cant be normal.
Is this something to do w/ the recent Android Wear app update? Is there anything I can do to fix this battery drain---or do I have a defective unit?
Suggestions please

Hi, I've had my sm3 about 4 days now and the first couple of days was forever charging the watch. I eventually found the culprit was that I had location switched on in the watch and phone settings. After I disabled it I'm getting easy two days between charges. Location is handy for running or out on the bike but otherwise in day to day use not really needed.
Grant.
Hi all
I recently returned my Moto 360 because of the battery. Got the zenwatch. First cycle lasted me three days. Now in one night from 79% tot 39%... without usage?
I'm on 5.1.1
Aside from that I had a problem with Android Wear crashing on my watch and then it needs to be restarted (the process). Also I have lag like hell. Just poping out a menu with cause lag and slowness of the watch, after some time it just goes well again. Anyone experience lag issues with the Zenwatch? Reviews said it would run smoother than the Moto 360 ...but not for me yet;...
If I can't get it fixed I might return this one too and stay out of the smartwatches for some time.
Thanks
Jesse
When i try to start the watch, it seems to get to the watch face, but when i hit the settings, it seems to shutdown, and the only thing i can do is put back on the cradle. If i leave on the cradle it seems to work fine. What i don't understand is i have two of the same watch one black one silver, and the silver works flawless. I am wondering if i have to clear cache, or how do i collect a log of whats happening. I've tried factory reset. uninstalling aw app, nothing seems to work. Any advice is appreciated.
Thanks
I am getting same thing for last couple updates. Don't even use watch anymore Cuz it just shuts off randomly. Tried clearing everything and reinstalling, etc. No luck so far.
Same thing here, but mine shuts down during my run when I listen music off of it, around 75-80% battery, but works fine when I use it normally, without connected Bluetooth headphones
I've been getting random shutdowns for the last few months.
Sometimes I feel like it's triggered by lots of vibrating on the watch, but no correlation to battery level, most of the time it's in the 60% percentage.
I've done a factory reset and deleted and uninstalled and reinstalled android wear on the phone several times, and it always fixes it temporarily...
Sounds epidemic.
How hard was it to get a replacement?
Anybody able to find a fix? TIA
Same problem. At first I figured it was a but that came with an update and would get fixed on the next one. I stopped wearing it for a while. Now, months later, still doing it.
I got the 360 the first day it was available. I'm thinking that I'm probably out of warranty now. Should have placed a complaint when it first happened.
Has anyone found a resolution?

My experience is nearly identical to yours. Bought my Moto 360 on release day, it started having problems about 9 months shutting down. I factory reset, removed apps, eventually upgraded to a different phone, all the problems continued.
When I finally called Moto support, my warranty had expired, but they told me for $100 they'd replace it. I did that and just got my replacement, and I must say it's Awesome. I forgot what it was like to have a smart watch that lasts 18 hours and never shuts down regardless of how much I use it!
So, $100... you can buy a new or refurb Moto 360 for that online, so maybe it's not worth it. It's still a great smart watch IMO though. At this point I feel no need to upgrade to 2nd gen.
For the defects, this appears to be a widespread problem for Moto 360 1st gen. Best of luck to you.
still any solution
Did anyone find solution to this?
I've the same problem. In fact, it won't restart until I put if back in the cradle. On top of that, I no longer get any messaging/email notifications.
Well, about 16 months in to my replacement and it started happening again... OG Moto 360, just like the original. I suppose it's time to upgrade. Still, 16 months for $100 outdated technology smart watch worn every day isn't terrible.
I had the same issue, would randomly shut down and whenever I tried to open an app or settings it would just die. It was the battery, i found a replacement battery on ebay for around $25 replaced it and now it's working as expected.

Wow, seriously?! I just looked, and sure enough the batteries are all over eBay. How difficult was it to replace?
not too hard to replace... Check out the instructions on YouTube... Took me about 15 minutes
Hi,
I've a strange behavior from my T700 that I was initially thinking due to the 5.0.2 but I'm no longer sure about that.
The problem is about the home screen that often freezes or make some stripes on the screen.
Since it appeared only after the Lollipop update, I thought it was due to the infamous problem of memory corruption in the 5.0.2.
Sometime it is so horrible that I'm obliged to reboot several times the tablet that anyway remains unstable.
Digging deeper, I'm observing the instability is tied to the level of the battery gauge... the lower, the worse. If I plug the charger, I get a stable reboot.
After Lollipop the system looks having gained battery lifetime, but in reality calibration looks having changed and the tablet became unstable when gauge is below 40% (well, it is difficult to say because sometime the gauge remains blocked around 50-55%, and moves to <10% only after a couple of reboots).
Question: is it happening only to me (in which case I may assume my tablet is defective so I have to sent it back for repair in warranty), or a common behavior with this very bad update (in which case I may consider to switch back to Kitkat)?
Thanks

Just go to service center and claim a warranty for new battery replacement.
Its the infamous batterygate of Tab S. The longer you wait, the worse it gets.
I just get battery replacement yday and the Tab S is working like new, mine is T705 with KitKat.
It only took about 30mins to replace the battery.
And I got the same issue as you before. No software fix can rectify the problem.
I had the exact same problem. It's not sofware related. I opened my tab, disconnected the battery and connected it again and the problem disappeared. And re-appeared a few month later. I did tje same trick and it worked again. In my opinion, the faulty one is the battery connector, not the battery itself..
Plus: the best tool to open your tab is a guitar pick..
Having same problem over here with my Tab S 8.7 (T700).. At about 60% my screen starts to flicker once a while. Was planning on a factory reset and otherwise going to the service center as it is still warranty.
I had not yet time to go to service (they said they need to investigate, I'm afraid service will take several weeks, not just 30min).
In the meantime, I'm realizing that tablet in power saving mode has no problems at all... A good workaround while waiting before servicing it.

For what it's worth, a friend was having the exact same problem and we were both sure he would have to at least open it up and check the battery connection. However, he did a factory reset (he was still on stock 5.0.2) and the flickering/flashing/freezing problems disappeared...for what it's worth.
TiTiB (tweak it 'til it breaks)...Galaxy Tab S | SMT-T700 | klimtwifi...AICP 5.1.1
It may be not software related but! With a few tweaks it seems to stabilize again... A couple drops with the cover, then lollipop update and it was it, problems started... Removed the cover seems to help, then custom rom, skyhigh kernel and some power tweaks here and there, 14% right now with 6:30 to 7 hours screen on! No errors so far!
Service will reset the device before any intervention, so better I do it myself and check if problem is still there.
The problem appeared only after the Lollipop update and although may be totally uncorrected (once, it happened to me a S3 battery almost exploded just after an os update, what a chance!) it is worth a try (there are also some other strange effects that looks more related to memory corruption, although those may be caused by abnormal battery levels).
I'll keep you posted

I know this has been discussed but I'm about at the end of my rope. About 3 weeks ago, my watch's battery life suddenly went to crap. Before that, I would easily have 40-50% left by the time I went to bed at night. Now I'm about to 50% after 4 hours! I did briefly try the 2.0 developer preview build, so I'm not sure if that had anything to do with it. But I went back to stock and I've tried multiple full wipes but nothing seems to help. I've even tried Negalite's ROM with and without kernel. Nothing seems to help. Does anyone have any tips or any way to troubleshoot?
Like I said, I'm about done with this watch if I can't even come close to making it through a day without charging. I even contacted Huawei support but I have yet to hear anything back.
Thanks,
tim
Hi,
I have no idea what apps are you using, but I occured huge battery drain after change my phone from LG G3 to Galaxy S7 Edge. For 3 weeks I tried to find solution. Few factory resets. And few days ago I found what caused this drain. On my Galaxy I installed LightFlow app (LightFlow have support for Android Wear), after remove Lightflow my battery back to normalcy. Also I noticed better battery life on the phone.
As pablo20520 mentioned, could be highly due to what apps and/or watch face that you use.
Maybe try freezing/removing all apps, and see if there is a difference. If you now have good batterylife, then add apps one at a time and monitor how the batterylife is, this will help to figure which the culprit is.
what apps and watchface do you have on the watch at the moment?
I'm currently just using a stock watch face. I'll try disabling a bunch of apps and see what happens. Thanks!
